The only place to start this week is by congratulating Chelsea for winning the Premier League and the plaudits are certainly due to Antonio Conte for changing the teams tactics after a beating by Arsenal at the Emirates early in the season and never looking back from that day.
To some degree Chelsea can thank Arsene Wenger for their success as it was he who had first refusal on signing Ces Fabregas when he decided to leave Barca plus the Gunners wanted Kante from Leicester but when they refused to pay the transfer fee the Blues stepped in and beat them to the punch.
Of course it’s all conjecture but some are saying Arsene gave them a helping hand very much in the same mould when they sold Robin Van Persie to Man Utd whose goals helped the Red Devils win the title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season in charge.
So you can see why some Arsenal fans keep shouting Wenger out but I’m sure that will all be forgotten if they beat Chelsea in the F.A.Cup Final at the end of the month.
April was a fab month for my Betting Opportunity service and May is proving to be just as profitable for Fold4Gold with winners at 33/1, 16/1, 10/3, 4/1 and two at 6/1.
Mondays winner Englishman at 33/1 giving me the uttermost satisfaction as I selected the horse after he had been beaten out of sight on his two previous outings and listening to Matt Chapman on A.T.R. saying how the hell could anyone tip that?
Well in reality it’s simple in the horses previous runs the ground was fast and Milton Bradley horses always need a few runs to get them fit. The horse had dropped in the weights and it had been raining for some time at Windsor and if you bothered to look through the geldings form most of its wins were on a soft surface. So you see Matt it’s simples!
Today we start the York Dante meeting with racing of the highest quality and for Howies Hottie I’m playing in the 2.20 a handicap on Master Carpenter who is another who has disappointed on firm ground and will appreciate any wet stuff that falls in the area.
Russian Soul trainer J.Osborne – A winner at Chester and still looks on a decent mark.
Winning Ways trainer J.Noseda – Easy winner last week and capable of more improvement.
Fire Fighting M.Johnston – Hampered when trying to challenge and eased right off last time.
Piroutte trainer H.Morrison – Ran very well on her seasonal debut and can have a good season.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
