In football the Champions League group stages take place this week and there are five English teams competing for Europe’s biggest domestic prize. Jose Mourinho likes taking on the big boys and Manchester United look capable of holding their own.
Two managers have been in charge at Old Trafford when United became champions of Europe and they were both knighted. Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson did the trick and it would appeal to Mourinho’s sense of importance to win the trophy with United. They have the squad to be top dog in Europe again.
