Greyhound Master Tipster

January 2, 2015 By admin Leave a Comment

Had to be up and organised early on Friday (Boxing Day) as I wanted to get the newsletter and accompanying free tip sent out before I set off to travel to Henlow to watch Marco 5/4f.

I selected John Mullin’s Burgess Borna 10/3 as the free tip, backed her then emailed her to my clients and then emailed the newsletter to Betfan Towers. I then drove to Henlow I wanted to get there early as it’s always a bumper crowd on Boxing Day with people wanting to get some fresh air after the excesses of Christmas Day.

My co-owners had made other plans so I was the sole representative for Marco, my mate Clarky who runs the restaurant at the track, looked after me by letting me join his family table. They helped keep my mind off the final as it was a rather long wait to the Final!

I helped them find a winner or two before I checked my phone to find out that Burgess Borna had hosed up over at Crayford, she was returned the 9/4f. A great start to the day.

Next up was Mark Walkis’s Illewin Allot won the Dual Distance Final who I advised at a whopping 6/1 to my Bet Kudos members.

Then it was time for Marco to make or break my Christmas in the Cesarewitch Final, my heart was beating fast as the hare approached the traps, the lids went back and my pride & joy bolted out to lead round the first bend. He kept up the gallop all the way to the line to win by a shade under four lengths returned the 4/5f. It was a day that will live long in my memory, my dog winning a Category 2 and my earlier winners landing some nice bets/profit for my subscribers.

Saturday saw no open racing in the UK so I very quickly decided to send out a no bets email.

I had a small play on the horses using the free tips that Betfan & Bet Kudos send out which resulted in an 11/2 winner at Kempton, then a each way 1,2 in the Welsh Grand National. You must join up to these sites and there other site WIN for the best free tips and information around.

Sunday very frosty morning as I took Ruby for a walk before returning home for my Henlow card discussion with Angus. I sent out my selections early as one of them Benkaat Nero 6/1 was racing in the Olympic Final on Hove’s bags lunchtime card. The other selection was Coolavany Gooch 7/2 who I thought would win the Christmas Cracker Final at Henlow. I did advise a small stake cover bet on Mays King 3/1 who was a serious danger. I became lazy so I never made the betting shop to watch Nero just listened to the commentary. He seemed unlucky as he led but he got in trouble with Droopys Norris by moving off at the second bend. This allowed Thatchers Champ to nail El Pedro on the line. Thankfully a smash break by Coolavany Gooch 2/1 ensured my subscribers had yet another profitable evening, Mays King 7/4f was in a trouble at the second bend but flew home finish two lengths behind.

Mrs D and I were at Sittingbourne with the my co-owners the cardinal, cheesey & their respective partners. We watched our dog Wotnofizz record his fourth win from five starts at the Kent track. He loves it there. Goes Hot couldn’t quite make it a double when finishing a good second to Express Max in the sprint.

It was a lovely sociable evening, with lots of good banter flying around.

Monday saw no open racing just graded offerings. No bets email was promptly sent out.

So after a few chores, it was racing & darts on the TV. Later I took a peek at the Sheffield open race card tomorrow evening.

Tuesday morning after having a longer look at the Sheffield card I decided that there was no point of having a bet for the sake of it! I’m not keen on Sheffield, the form is never upheld and you get some funny results. No bets email sent out. More than happy with my lot this month.

Wednesday graded bags only racing today (Hogmanay) and Thursday New Year’s Day that saw nothing I deemed worthy of a selection, so its been a very quiet & boring week so far with no open race greyhounds and no RPGTV.

Friday at last some decent racing to get our teeth stuck into with a very good card featuring the Coronation Cup the first big competition of 2015. The flying four is a flying six this morning with all the heats priced up. The usual suspects are a very short price Bob, Razor and Captain. So I needed to look at the one of other three heats for our free tip.

I’m a fan of Derek Knight’s Fivestar Clipper who has fallen in love with the London Road circuit and he can put these to the sword with a fast break. He is prone to occasionally missing it but he’s worth chancing at the 5/2 with Corals.

Happy New Year to all my newsletter readers.
