Greyhound Master Tipster

Friday usual early start sorting out the free tip selection for the newsletter readers from the six heats of the Coronation Cup. I swerved the real shorties and went for Derek Knight’s Fivestar Clipper 5/2 who loves Romford. Backed, sent to subscribers then the newsletter was emailed to subscribers. For once the bookies didn’t hang around as they normally do pricing up the rest of the card. So I was able to punt out a second selection to subscribers Boom Boom Dani 5/4 before setting off to my grand daughters 1st birthday lunch.

I then shot over to Romford to watch all the action I had a vested interest as my bitch Wotnobubbles was running in a very good bitches contest. I met up with Carpo & Cheesey had a good crack without any drink as there both on the dryathlon for January.

Clipper 7/4f didn’t trap in his best fashion, couldn’t really get clear but was disappointing folding up on the run in (very strange). Bubbles was next and no-one expected a fantastic performance from the winner Millwards Katie 8/1 clocking an amazing 23.52 off a flying 3.62 split. Bubbles was involved in lots of early crowding finishing fourth.

Boom Boom Dani 1/1f came to my rescue with a trap to line win for my subscribers. Thus ensuring a small profit on the night.

Saturday saw only one open race in the UK at Crayford. As there was not much open race action the previous week I felt obliged to put something up in that race. A small bet on Shauna Brae 5/2 was advised but early crowding round the first two bends out paid to his chances. I then switched back over to watch the world darts!

Sunday I went up to see my old pal Head iton Tom to wish him a happy new year and take him some hot dogs. He was pleased to see me and we had a lovely walk. My new year resolution is to get Tom homed sooner rather than later. Home to send out advice of backing Slaneyside Cody over at Henlow we missed the 5/2 but the 2/1 still available was still value in my book.

I had a runner at Henlow Sharon’s Return whose a puppy coming back after a bad bout of coughing. I also had Goes Hot over at Sittingbourne who looked a good thing according to the bookies 8/13f.

Decided to watch at home Sharon had to play second fiddle to another pup but she will keep improving. Goes Hot 4/6f hosed up in his sprint where he clocked a decent time.

The inside appeared to be running better than the outside throughout the Henlow card, not sure whether it was the going or just a poor effort from Cody. He went of the 4/6f after a non runner, this happens a lot on the Henlow Sunday card. Disappointing!

Monday again saw no opens just graded fare throughout the UK. So catch up on videos emails etc after the no bets email was sent out.

Tuesday saw opens at Sheffield I nearly tipped up a dog I tried to buy Resanup Gene but I thought he was poorly drawn in trap four needs rails, but a bingo break blew that theory out the window! Instead I sent out an ante post Coronation Cup selection in Adageo Bob 5/2 as the 3/1 from Paddy Power was gone. I’m sure he’s going to be alright now and that price was bigger than at the start of the competition. If he qualifies tomorrow night he won’t be 5/2 in next weeks final.

Wednesday I went to the Picture Framers in Wickford to get Marco’s presentation jackets framed before putting them up on my office wall. Later I sent out my selections to subscribers for tonight’s Coronation Cup Semi Finals which are on RPGTV. I advised & backed a small win trixie with Billy hills on Vanfrenchie 6/4, Blonde Razor 10/11 & Airport Captain 6/4 who I thought may get the better of Bob from his better draw. I still believe Bob will qualify.

Watched the action indoors in my office, it was a bad night for the favourites all three in the trixie were turned over and only Vanfrenchie made the final, with Razor & Captain bowing out. The good news on a poor night is Bob won his semi in the fastest time and will now start odds on in the Final next Tuesday on Sky.

Thursday had a lazy morning before kicking into gear looking at the Hove card for a selection or two we can watch on RPGTV. I made a New Years resoloution not to back dogs in sprints ever again, that lasted just over a week, thanks to the draw that Who Needs Pace 11/4 had as a railer inside three middles and two wides. Sent that out after backing it along with an advice to back Steve’s Dream 4/1 to get the better of Bubbly Rocket in the 475 race before the sprint. Steve’s Dream was in a race with a dreaded non runner and reverted to SP, not that that mattered as he couldn’t get to grips with Bubbly Rocket.

However Who a needs Pace 7/4 just got the better of Cheers Tony in a photo to make it a nice profitable night for all concerned. Also over at Henlow my bitch Sharon Goddess 5/4f got of the mark at the third time of asking. So all in all it was a good night.

Friday I’m busy looking at both Romford & Sunderland cards as I’m the guest again on RPGTV tonight. So tune in to sky channel 212 or Freesat 401 or online for all my selections for both cards, though they look tricky enough to me.

For today’s free tip from the early priced up Romford races I think it seems a decent opportunity for Kevin Hutton’s Boom Boom Dani to follow up last weeks maiden win. If she comes away in the same fashion she should win.
