I hope some of you managed to watch the big fight last Saturday night as it was one of the classics with both Joshua and Klitschko both on the deck at some stage of the clash. The atmosphere at Wembley was electric with the 90,000 crowd enthralled by every minute.
Both fighters deserve great credit for putting on a great spectacle. In particular A.J. who at one time looked down and out on his feet to come back with remarkable resilience in the eleventh round to take the crown.
When interviewed after the fight A.J. said it was just like life you get knocked down but pick yourself up and carry on.
In fact many punters would do well to remember those comments as at some points in your betting career you will have bad losing spells but the only answer is to be prepared for it dust yourself down and carry on. Regardless if you are a professional or you pay as a member of a tipping service. Never give up and never ever swap from one tipsters advice to another as that is the recipe for disaster.
As I have preached time and time again in this column stop trying new services and stick with proven advice services who have the profit in the book.
My Betting Opportunity finished miles ahead on the BetFan leader board for April and since last weeks column have added winners including Be Perfect 8/1, Ulysses 4/1, Sunglider 6/1 and Taurean Star 4/1. I advised you to to join last week as BetFan are running a special discount offer but did you? It reminds me of the saying you can lead a horse to water but can you make him drink?
Well for those of you sat on the fence here’s an exceptional offer that’s not to be missed if you want winners like those mentioned above…
Also at the time of writing my Fold4Gold service has just whacked in a 35/1 winning double and if we get the third winner on the day it might be a 350/1 treble.
This weekend sees the first two classics and as readers will know I have been advising everybody to back Eminent for the 2,000gns for weeks. My regulars are all on at 33/1 and the colt is now as low as 9/2 for Saturdays race. The thing that amuses me are all the so called tipsters and journalists jumping on the band wagon at short prices claiming they are experts. Of course he won’t find it easy beating the highly rated pair Churchill or Al Wukair but I believe those of us on at 33/1 have the value of the season.
Now what you don’t know is that I personally have anti post vouchers from various bookmakers putting Eminent in each way doubles with Daban for the 1,000gns with both horses at 33/1 and if by any chance the double lands I stand to win in excess of a hundred grand. These are bets that a select group of us have been placing in small stakes through the winter to make sure we kept the prices high and who knows hopefully this weekend we will reap the dividend of our knowledge.
Wednesdays racing is quite exciting especially the quality card at Ascot and for Howies Hottie I’m going to take a chance on Mark Johnstons Yalta in the 3.45. This group 3 race over 6 furlongs has some decent types entered but I feel Yalta has the early speed to get them in trouble on this faster ground and if he gets an uncontested lead he could be hard to peg back. For a Mark Johnston horse I think he is over priced in the betting and win, lose or draw he represents our old friend each way value.
Whinging Willie trainer G.Moore – Ran well at Epsom and seem to be improving.
Carpe Diem Lady trainer R.Beckett – Front runner who needed the race last time.
Top Notch Tonto trainer B.Ellison – Ran a cracker at Haydock staying on after a slow start. I have put this on my eye-catchers service but he is very well weighted at present and should be noted especially if the ground turfs soft.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
