Hello and welcome to another Tuesday newsletter. It has been a busy week for club members, yet as hard as we work we haven’t broken any fresh ground. It’s Just a case of finishing a close 2nd in too many races. We have a week left of the month to get back on top and in this game anything can happen – and often does.
With only one month left in the year it looks like Unity Racing Club are going to be profitable for the 2nd year in a row.
Now wasn’t CUE CARD impressive over the weekend he will be a force in the king George if they can get him there in this form. The connections have worked hard with this horse after a broken pelvis and it’s thanks to their hard work and persistence that the horse has found his stride again.
After a quiet start to the season I think the Pipe yard who were a little behind where they wanted to be this year are going to start firing pretty soon. They have some ground to make up but I can see December being a much better month from them.
Willie Mullins has supplemented WICKLOW BRAVE in the fighting fifth hurdle as club members know we backed the horse twice this year in flat staying races. This horse looks a different proposition over hurdles this year. His jockey got off in the last race and was kicking himself for not making more use of the horse as he stayed on behind Nicols Canyon. The jockey was under the belief that he could have won that race! It’s fair to say he should go really close in the fighting fifth. Let’s just hope we get a decent price on him.
