We all love a placepot and for a small outlay we can, on occasion win some big dividends. Of course there is always the problem of that “one” leg that lets us down!
I have written many an article around placepots, some simple, some overly complicated. In this article I am going to look at a quick and easy approach that shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to instigate and will give you, not only a bit of fun but half a chance of actually seeing a return.
Basically we are looking for the two most bet on horses in each race. We can do this by looking at one of my favourites…. the pie chart on Oddschecker.
In the image below you can see the pie chart and you simply pick the two most bet on horses in the race –
So in this race we select Spirit Of Sarwan and Proud Archi. We do this through all of the 6 races and by doing so we will have a perm of 64 bets are per below –
14:00 – 1 & 4
14:30 – 5 & 3
15:00 – 2 & 11
15:30 – 3 & 2
16:00 – 1 & 3
16:30 – 9 & 3
I appreciate some of you value hunters out there will have different approaches but this is a quick and easy way to play the placepot and at £0.10p a line will cost you less than a tenner to get involved and enjoy an afternoon’s racing.
Have a go and let me know how you get on 🙂

Rory my friend . Haven’t a clue war they can from! How do you get 1 to 4, 5 to 3 etc; ?
Well I am following the pie chart on oddschecker tonight at Leicester , hope place pot comes up
How does the pie chart come up? Is it only on desktop?
Problem with systems such as this on pool bets is that if the system works it will get followed by more people which brings the dividend down. In my opinion it is very tough to win by a placepot system. The only way is to find horses which are less popular in the market than they should be. Not easy but draw analysis is my favourite method.
