As with all Betfan services the tipster has been required to proof his selections prior to launching to the public. With Each Way Hits the performance during this spell was impressive with over 530 points profit achieved at an ROI of nearly 35%.
Using a form based system the selections for the service are normally released on the evening before the race allowing users to take advantage of Best Odds Guaranteed prices. As you might imagine selections are advised for each way betting with individual staking specified – normally a 2.5 point each way stake but as little as 1 on occasion. A 300 point betting bank is advised by Gavin who says that winners are a bonus the main aim being to find horses that will place.
In all but 2 months of the trial to date we have seen 142 selections advised of which 8 did not run and 41 (28.8%) produced a return for the bank. A couple of winners at 15.0 were the most profitable tips and overall a 119 point profit was achieved after a draw down of 115 points at one stage. The longest losing run was 14 races against which a run of 5 profitable races including 4 actual wins was achieved. With the higher odds recommended by this service (average around 12.0) there will inevitably be some swings on the betting bank but overall the trend is positive.
At less than £1 per point profit achieved thus far subscribers should be happy with the value offered here and although we seem to have hit a relatively quiet time performance wise the service does seem to have appeal. So long as you are happy to accept the potential for long losing runs then this may be a service to consider – I would put in the medium risk category and classify as Positive for the review.
A word on the presentation of results on the BWR site. With the automatic horse race proofing system in place the results are calculated without any need for human input and so there will not be spreadsheets covering the specific period of the review. For Betfan services it is possible to download csv files for the full results of any service using the main proofing page. The major benefit of this is that results will continually be updated and so members can check progress when it suits them and have no need to await my adding the next set of results. I shall of course continue to summarise service performance at regular intervals where ongoing monitoring is appropriate.
