There is a little known advantage that we can have over the bookies if we know what to look for in their horse racing markets. It’s a little complicated but once mastered then you won’t believe how simple it is to get one over the bookies!
In order to find these bad e/w races we need to look for a race that has an odds on favourite. The idea of this technique is to exploit a little mathematical anomaly that the bookies have no way of controlling. It’s not illegal but they will look to shut your account down if they find out what you’re doing!
When looking at a market the odds displayed are a representation of the percentage likelihood of that horse winning. For example an even money shot would be seen to have a 50% chance of winning the race. If you were to add all these percentages together then you would find that the bookie has the advantage over you in terms of the over round that they build into the market. A book that has 110% would see the bookie having a 10% advantage. That is something that as punters we can never avoid. However now we come back to the bad e/w. So what does this really mean?
When we strike an e/w bet we are having two bets at once. One for the win part and one for the horse to be placed. It’s the place part of the bet that we need to focus on for this to work. When we have a race that, for example is offering 3 places for a 1/5th of the odds the bookmakers over round/advantage is always 300% plus or it would be 200% plus if offering 2 places. In a bad e/w race offering 3 places the percentages are LESS than 300%. This is where we look to exploit this unavoidable anomaly.
So how do we find these races? It is very difficult and takes a lot of maths. However over at Bettingtipsforfree we will notify you daily if there is a bad e/w race to exploit.
But how do we profit from this? There are several ways of doing this and one is to back the horse e/w with a bookmakers and then lay the win part off on the exchanges so that we have a more profitable place bet. The other way to exploit this is to simply back the second or third favourite e/w. When they place we will lose a small amount of money but when they win over the longer term we will show a profit. It sounds very complicated but if you follow the advice left for you on Bettingtipsforfree you’ll see how in the long term this understanding of the markets can make you profit from the horses.
