Monday 11th. Another great days punting yesterday with once again our FREE advice MINELLA FORU winning and turning over the short priced fav. That’s 2 freebies I have given this week and 2 winners must soon be time for “Arise Bellie Boy.”
Oh and hats off to “the tower boys” for leaving the Sunday morning cutting room floor clean.
SERIOUSLY NOW, We have an exciting and very busy week ahead of us. Starting with Huntingdon on Tues (then on to Oakham Weatherspoons opening) and the great Paddy Power meeting at Cheltenham Fri, Sat and Sunday, which for me is unmissable, not forgetting our MAXIMUM bet squeezed in between for good measure.
Today looks relatively quiet on the tissues, although we have 3 meetings. One of great interest is TUTCHEC, who was 1 of many to help AP in his unprecedented quest, stands out, I have this tissued up at 5/2ish and its trading at 7/2. I know he is up in the weights and in a stronger race, but the information that he has had 3 weeks intensive jumping at home should negate these 2 factors.
I decide to get Chatterbox to back this at 7/2 for me and also put him up as a win only bet to my clients.
Also, as only my clients are privy to, I pop a “liddle luv note” at the bottom of my e mail advising them to back a certain 12/1er ew.
I am wanting to update my winter racing attire and as I always say we must spend some of our winnings and then it’s much more appreciated and tends to add more value to what we have achieved and we have been winning loads at the moment.
So I am in Newmarket at Goldings on the high street to get a new coat, scarf and boots and with a few extras a monkey (500) is soon winging its way to the till.
When your luck is in everything just seems to drop into place and as I am walking back to the car, I bump into an old betting contact and owner that has had a year out of the game, he really was top drawer and we used to work really well together.
We pop into the wine bar for a catch up and a sandwich during which, I explain what I am doing with BETFAN and my own tipping line and luckily he is well back into it and has horses scattered around with certain trainers. I then tell him we have backed 1 in the next and that I need to go next door to watch TUTCHEC run. I have another cash bet at 4s ew and so does he.
Oi Oi TUTCHEC leads all the way and wins really well, Good old “Fred” (betfred) has just paid for all my clobber from Goldings and all of a sudden the boys are back in town and a year all of a sudden seems only like yesterday.
Over the next bottle of wine as a way of thanks for today, he explains to me that he has been told to heavily back a horse at Wolverhampton tomorrow night and although it’s going to be short it WILL win.
On departing I mention our 12/1er tonight and head home.
This is a SUPER winning day for us ALL, not only have we backed a 4/1 winner and had another great winning day, I have also managed to rekindled a relationship with one of my shrewdest gambling pals around.
To further cap a super day, our late night “nameless” charge gets us a fast finishing place and with a better draw would of won.
Tuesday 12th. Yesterday may prove, in the long run, to be one of our biggest winning days and benefit all of us immensely.
We are sitting on 60ish points profit for November already and have only had 2 losing days with an AMAZING strike rate approaching 50% (1 in 2 winners) and a MAXIMUM later from Fred. (he has assumed the name Fred, due to “Freds” generosity yesterday) to keep his identity under wraps.
A really early 7am message to my clients this morning advising the MAXIMUM bet, as I say in my e mail its imperative we gobble up all the Evens that is on show for INTERCEPTION in the 4-50 at Wolverhampton as this IS and WILL be an odds on shot.
I am gracing Huntingdon with my presence today and will be leaving relatively early as its a 12-40 start.
Before I leave I also e mail ITOLDYOU as a small ew bet at 8/1 and a stronger ew on ELSPETHS BOY tonight at 11/2.
Huntingdon is busy today as it has 2 receptacle days for annual badge holders from Cheltenham and Sunny Yarmouth.
I’m not planning to have a bet here today because I already have a small fortune laid out, but you never know what you might hear or learn whilst actually on track.
The 1st race passes with what now almost seems the norm AP adding to his possibly already insurmountable total.
However, whilst having a cuppa in the owners and trainers bar I do learn that the reason Alan King and his owner Simon Bullimore are in attendance is to watch their SUBURBON BAY run in the 2nd, as they think it has been crying out for soft ground and today is the 1st time he has encountered it and they are hoping that it can win. I don’t go mad but have a nice bet to cover the days Xs at 10/3.
SUBURBON Bay is always bang there and bolts up by 30ish lengths with its head in its chest, right place at the right time (when things are going well)??
A small knock as our 1st bet at 8/1 is always up with the leaders, but just misses out on a place and comes home 4th.
I leave before the last NH flat race as I want to be home in time to watch INTERCEPTION run in the 4-50.
Gentleman Ted is a bit further back then I would of liked at halfway on INTERCEPTION but as soon as he brings him to the outside its goodnight nurse and he absolutely bolts up by 3-4 lengths at odds on and we have landed another MAXIMUM bet at Evens (over 90% strike rate on Max’s now, I think??) and we are cruising to another winning day with 1 to run.
ELSPETHS BOY tries his heart out and at one point (as do the in running punters as its a shade odds on) I think we are going to cop again, but ultimately he just comes up short and nicks us a place and a small win to cap another FANTASTIC winning day.
Wednesday 13th. Another amazing day for us yesterday with 2 out of 3 copping us money and 1 off them a maximum bet. We have still only had 2 losing days this month and are sitting on in excess of 60 points profit, any of you having £100 a point that’s 6k profit already.
I am really excited about meeting up with Fred again as this is going to be massive for all of us, as his, I know it was short priced, winner showed yesterday. It was the manner of the win that impressed me because it won like a 10s on shot.
We must never forget that however good yesterday was it was ultimately yesterday and we must always get our feet firmly on the ground again and refocus on the job in hand, easing money regularly out of the greedy 1s.
As I was told at Huntingdon yesterday to back VALDEZ as it had schooled brilliantly and they think it will win. At 6/4 if other people are privy to my information this is going to get backed so I decide we need to take the 6/4 on offer and send out an early e-mail.
Steve is all over A VOS GARDES as he is Hayley at the moment, I will tell all regarding the Weatherspoons opening “incident” soon, but not now as I don’t want to be citied in any possible farmers divorce proceedings. (nothing to do with me I hasten to add). Oh yes Miss Sweden was present and dressed to the 9s, little tease and was present with her girlies and so was sexy Hayley and her chums hehehe. (it’s worth waiting for, trust me).
Anyway A VOS GARDES is a fast improving 3yo and is in receipt of 16lb which could prove invaluable. It’s not an ideal betting proposition as to a certain degree we are punting blind as the other 3 could be anything, but from what I am told about its home gallops, I am confident enough to take the chance at 10/3.
Finally we are told to forget MAGIC CITYS last run on heavy ground and back her ew at 9/2 tonight at Kempton.
After yesterdays great day I should be heading up to the city this afternoon to complete my winter shopping, but instead I am going to start doing the Cheltenham, Paddy Power card as I think we could have a big price sleeper on Saturday and I want to check it out against my figures.
Also I have just been informed that I am in week 12 of a tipster checking system done by a company called BETTING SYSTEM TRUTHS and my allotted man is a Sgt Brian, personally I have never heard of them and don’t know how long it lasts, but it should make interesting reading when I find out more hehehe hope it’s all good, I will keep you all informed when I know more.
How good was the info on VALDEZ he jumped for fun never touching a twig and lead them all a merry dance and never looked in a moments trouble and what a fantastic SP of 7/4 I am shocked, best odds guaranteed comes up trumps again.
We are now in the fortunate position of claiming another winning day regardless of what happen to our next 2 bets.
Forget sitting on our laurels as Charlie Longsdens A VOS GARDES gets a peach of a ride from Noel Fehily and as I said in my e mail the 16lb allowance was the difference and we have banged in another winner at 10/3.
Already today we are adding to our ever growing November booty with another 18ish points (Oi Oi get in there) and 1 to run at Kempton tonight.
MAGIC CITY is second so nothing much done either way, apart from we have surpassed 80 points PROFIT for the month.
Thursday 14th. BOOM, BOOM, 2 more winners yesterday and Bellie boy hits the top of the BETFAN tree with an amazing 82 points profit so far this month and an incredible 55% strike rate.
WHEN I TOLD YOU IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO JOIN AT THE END OF OCT I WASNT JOKING OR BULLSHITING WAS I ???????????????
Today we have nothing over the jumps but no worries as I have had strong information in on 2 runners at Kempton tonight.
PIXIE CUT of Stan Moores has recently been campaigned across the water in France in a better grade races than tonights. At 9/4 I get Keith to back this for me as I think this will shorten.
I think POETIC CHOICE is a good bet in what looks a tricky race, I would of liked to get some 4s to enable us to back this ew, but the greedy 1s are not playing ball, so we have to settle for a win bet at 7/2.
PIXIE CUT is pulled out due to hurting itself in the box on the way and POETIC CHOICE is 2nd, so a small losing day.
Friday 15th. Credit where credit is due, the tower boys did a cracking promotion for me last night as thanks for my 2 free winning tips, which I am very appreciative off.
I pop todays advices up at a crazy early time today as I am leaving for Cheltenham at 5am as I have a 4-5 hour drive depending on the A14 and M6 traffic.
I actually cock up my 1st bet which is thankfully corrected by the powers above on THE ROMFORD PELE, as the night before there was 5 runners and this morning I have not noticed that there are now only 4 so my ew advice is bollocks and we have to change it to win only at 8/1. If I had noticed it was win only I may have had a rethink but to late now.
I have a really strong word for Johnny Murtaghs BEAUTYS FORTE which I bet accordingly and advise my clients to as well and to grab the 11/4 which is on offer.
I also advise backing ATTAGLANCE ew in tomorrows Paddy Power Gold Cup and suggest we take the 33/1 on offer as I know this is going to be very well backed by the connections.
The Cheltenham journey goes really well and I arrive at 10ish and the flat I have hired is very satisfactory and although I state I must have Wi-Fi I have an added bonus because it’s a really quick connection, but no French maid in sight which is bit of a blow.
I am surprised by the amount of people that are here on the 1st day, so I creep into the press room to get out of the way of the hustle and bustle for a while.
In the 1st 2 races we have a couple of outsides 15/2 and 9/1 which I must admit had got under my radar.
THE ROMFORD PELE looks really well in the paddock and is being smashed up in the ring and is now a very short priced 4/1-9/2. As I said in my early morning e mail there’s no way I would be backing WHISKEY OSCAR at odds on.
PELE flatters to deceive at 1 point but never really gets into the race and finishes 3rd, so not the ideal start for us, although OSCAR does get turned over at odds on.
No more bets here today and BEAUTYS FORTE already punted so I wander down to the BETDAQ tent in the Guinness village where I can get some nice free food and alcohol.
Far to much BETDAQ wine and I am already racing and with a long night to come, will I ever learn??
Back into Montpelier and Ladbrokes to watch, what turns out to be a disappointing 2nd from BEAUTYS, so not a good day and our 1st losing day for what seems like forever.
Cheltenham is really buzzing and we are not planning on a crazy one, so we book into the Chinese called Ruby’s, which I think is 1 of the best in the UK.
We just pop into the wine bar for a night cap and things go tits up from then on. We visit the Piano bar where a pianist plays all night and he is amazing. All the Betdaq and Cronicle bookmakers boys are in there and the drink is flowing now and the atmosphere is brilliant.
Think it is 2am when we finally leave.
Saturday 16th. Hangover city here this morning and the walk to get the racing post is just what I need. Breakfast in the Queens and I am feeling human again and ready for a rerun.
We have already backed ATTAGLANCE at 33/1 for the Paddy Power and it’s now trading at 28/1 best price so already the money has started to come for it.
Nicky Henderson has a short priced fav in the Triumph hurdle trial and I was most impressed with the way it won last time and with the ammunition he has I think it’s a tip in itself that he has elected ROYAL IRISH HUSSAR to take part. Although this is a shade odds on I think its a great price and suggest we take the 10/11.
We finish of with a Keith Reverley charge at Uttoxeter the 9/4 fav DANCING ART. He has obviously been hard to train but if he turns up today fit and well he will take all the beating.
Outside the festival this is one of my favourite days racing of the jumps year. Cheltenham is packed and really buzzing we start of with the habitual hot toddy and wander to the parade ring to have a look at our 1st bet ROYAL IRISH HUSSAR. He looks amazing and you can see why the Ballydoyle boys advised Nicky Henderson to send their ex charge here for this race.
ROYAL IRISH HUSSAR never looks like anything other then winning and does it really nicely and he must be one of the favourites now for the Triumph hurdle. A great winning start to the day.
Our 33/1 shot ATTAGLANCE is getting smashed up in the betting as I said it would and goes off at 16/1. We are always up with the lead, but a few sloppy jumps and we drop back and I think we are doomed, but somehow he shows real guts and determination and runs on really strongly and nicks us a place and lands another super punt for us.
DANCING ART never really gets serious until 2 out and I think the lack of race fitness told and we are unplaced.
We have had another super winning day of just over 16 points.
We jump on the races bus and head straight into town with more then a spring in our step. We must still be top of the BETFAN tree with something approaching 85 points profit for the month.
Sunday 17th. Last night we ended up in the Queens hotel where the Irish band were strutting their stuff and I resisted all temptations and stayed well clear of bar 21 and the Piano room, although I did give in to temptation as we walked past the wine bar at the top of Montpelier, thankfully they shut at 1am and I couldn’t be bothered to walk back into town, so a relatively early 1.
Last day of the Paddy Power meeting and we are well in profit for the meet and are in fact still at no1 with 82 points profits and still hitting over 50% winners.
Today looks very difficult as 3 races are looking impossible and 3 races having very short priced favourites, but luckily we do have a sleeper up our sleeves which we will be backing ew.
Today’s free tip is in the 1-00 Cheltenham PAY THE KING ew @ 7/1 Coral.
Another very satisfactory weeks work making a fantastic 38 points profit and the added bonus of having Fred re-joining the ranks.
Next week we have a day at Fakenham on Tuesday, where hopefully we should be punting 1 big and then, draw dependent, we have another entered in races both wed and thurs at Kempton with 10-14lbs in hand.
Come and join me NOW in next weeks quest to ease even more MONEY out of the greedy 1s.
Till next week, happy counting.
Andy Bell.
