Sunday 8th. OI OI, we smashed the Don and beat him well and truly up by AN AMAZING 83.5 pts, that will teach him to liken me to a whining George Grooves, we did it by banging in two winners on day 1 at 5/4 and 7/1 and four winners on day 2, at 5/2, 5/4, 9/4 and 7/1, which included the Derby winner, AUSTRALIA. I told him I was morally the winner last time with three winning days to his one, but this time there is no disputing who “the man of the moment is.”
I also thank the ones that took my hint in the Saturdays diary, as I said get your Derby winner here and I am grateful to the 23 punters who took the advice and signed up and in return I gave them the winner, AUSTRALIA and three others on Saturday, to more than pay for your subscriptions.
The main thing was that the DON v ANDY BELL special made a profit for all its subscribers, as money has to be found and paid for these events and luckily for all the anti ANDY BELL campaigners, I was able to serve up the goods and make an incredible 54 points profit on the two days.
Even better was for my private members on ANDY BELL as on day one, we made a brilliant 45 points profit, which took us well over 110 points profit already for this month and THE LATE SERVICE collected their anti-post winnings on TAGROOGHA at 10/1, as advised on Sunday 4th May, making them 36 points profit and taking them over 65 points profit for the month.
Saturday on my private service, I have given four selections, Frankie rides the Richard Hannon Jnr Trained BAITHA ALGA, who is priced at 5/2 and was an impressive winner at Chester last time after meeting loads of trouble. CIRRUS DES AIGLES is an amazing price of 5/4, for a horse which is in the top three in Europe at the moment.
SMOOTHTALKINGRASCAL with a better run would of won this very race last year and at 11/1 he got to be an ew bet and finally, allegedly the best horse which has been through Coolmore AUSTRALIA at 9/4. With all these emailed out an hour till kick off.
Frankie and BAITHA ALGA gets us off to the best possible start by winning very nicely at 5/2. Next never a moments doubt as the French raider CIRRUS DES AIGLES romps in at 10/11 making our 5/4 looking even better. SMOOTHTALKINGRASCAL was ridden as if he needs a mile, which I don’t quite understand, if it had of been a rainy Monday at a lowly track, I would of thought today was not the day. AUSTRALIA finished off another incredible day by showing that he is a superstar and not all hype and what a price our 9/4 was.
NOTE BOOK time; I think AUSTRALIA will run and go very close in the King George at Ascot.
We have again served up a lesson not only to the Greedy 1s, but thankfully the Old Grumbling Don himself.
Sunday, after an Epic Epsom, where I made over 80 points profit for my clients in the two services and quietened The Don for a while, we are going to have a day off. I send out a 7am message advising my clients there’s nothing today, so not to wait and waste a lovely day and to get out and spend our lovely booty, so it all seems worthwhile.
Monday 9th. We are languishing with over 130 points profit this morning and are way out in front on the BETFAN, who’s who monthly table.
David Browns, WAR ALERT, which should of ran last week is running at Windsor tonight and must be backed at the 5/2. HISTORY BOOK has only ran once and won very nicely and has been sparkling at home, although he is very short I am told he is a good bet at 5/4.
I am very surprised as both today’s selections are beaten, unfortunately we will have losing days.
Tuesday 10th. It is our once a week jolly boys meet today, I like to have one a week, when I’m not away racing. It started in the normal fashion, shooting a few games of pool and than the walk up the hill to Weatherspoons and Corals. It was whilst we were drinking in Weatherspoons that we witnessed, what I think was a very funny sketch. An elderly lady and Gentleman were enjoying their lunch just across from The Machine, Cabbage and myself, when we heard the Gentleman coughing, he had obviously found out why on a Tuesday steaks are a fiver, the lady was up like a flash and banged the poor old Gentleman on the back, she could hit him gentler with a fork lift and out flew his false teeth and straight into his mustard. You just had to be there, we were in fits of laughter and the good sport of a lady, who by now realised, what had happened and spotted us in hysterics and could now see the funny side, held up his mustard covered teeth in one hand and the guilty lump of gristle in the other. The poor Gentleman was obviously very embarrassed and grabbed his teeth and quickly inserted them back into his mouth, only to spit them back out when the mustard kicked in and this had, what we found out later was his wife, in fits of laughter as well. As soon as the tears had stopped flowing, we sent them a bottle of Merlot over, if only for entertainment value.
We don’t trouble the scorers today, but we will still remain at the top of the table.
Wednesday 11th. We are heading towards the coast today, no, not paddling, but to Great Yarmouth racecourse, as its day one of the two day June meet. I arrive nice and early so I can do my Betfan selections from the press room as the WiFi is rubbish on course. My email consists of the Michael Bell trained STONE ROSES in the first at 7/1 ew, Roger Varions, TRIGILLA, which I am told will win and pass on this information and finally ADA LOVELACE in the last at Yarmouth ew at 11/2.
Oh some funny gossip, I did hear that “Eddie the Stat” spent his holiday on crutches, as we got the lightweight so drunk at the York Ebor meet, he fell over and is now in plaster hehehe, I wonder if he tripped over his pencil or dropped his pencil sharpener on his toe. I hear there is no room to sign the cast as he has filled it full of his life dependent stats and figures, I maintain the belt and holiday test are still the best guides, if the belt keeps getting loosened and your enjoying lots of holidays, there’s no formula’s or hours of needless work required, its easy, you are winning.
STONE ROSES is bang up there are a very well backed 7/2, he can’t quite maintain his speed as finishes fifth. We soon recover our loses as TRIGILLA bolts in. Our day is now in the balance after one winner and one loser and thankfully ADA LOVELACE swings it our way by winning very impressively at 11/2. A very nice winning day again and we keep amassing these points and profit at the top.
Thursday 12th. We are heading back to the seaside and Tony the machine is riding shotgun with me today. It look as if we could have a few favourites oblige today, as on paper, although very short, there look to be a couple of good things.
I have decided to leave the very shorties alone today and leave them out of my email but include the Chris Wall trained FEVER FEW, who jinxed his chances away at the start , on his first run for the stable, last time. Also another outsider CHOICE OF DESTINY both ew shots.
A lovely sunny day again and there’s plenty of flesh on show, a bit more than the Machine bargained for I am later told.
We are sitting outside the owners and trainers bar on the decking, when we are joined by a couple I know, whilst I am talking, I notice the Machine has put his sunglasses on and is talking to the lady of the party who’s opposite him. I must admit she has very nice legs and her short skirt is showing them off to full effect. When they leave to go into the ring I find out why the Machine was very animated from behind his sun glasses, apparently her Lady Garden was in full view and the grass didn’t need cutting. A winner already for the Machine hehehe.
FEVER FEW was this time jumped out of the stalls and was with the leaders all the way and I thought we were going to get our 16/1 place money, only to be ran out of a place in the last half a furlong. CHOICE OF DESTINY was very disappointing and never showed.
Day two passes without any more dramas or flashes of the lady garden and we head home. A quick pint in the Queen, while we wait for our Indian to be delivered.
Friday 13th. I’m jumping on the 8am rattler to York and what other idiot would have a Madras the night before a 3 hour train journey?
Whilst I’m rattling York wards, I am told that Hannons, IVAWOOD is as good as their Hamdon winner at Newbury yesterday, knowing this I email him out and suggest filling our boots at 6/4. Ryan Moore looks an interesting booking for Roger Whitaker on LOVE ISLAND and I am also texted saying SOUVILLE is expected to win the last at Goodwood at 9/4.
I arrive in York at 11ish, with the Rock Holden waiting for me in his Oxfam suit and as I am walking from the station, as you can see on my Facebook page, I wonder if the Grumbling Don has finally emerged after getting beaten like a dog by me at Epsom.
With my tie firmly attached we arrive at the course and head upstairs to the owners bar, where we watch Hughsey get us off to the best possible start by steering IVAWOOD to an easy and uncontested victory, today is already looking good and more importantly another winning one. Ryan Moore unfortunately can’t maintain our great start and finishes third. A long wait now until we can hopefully cement our winning day. Luckily for the LATE BETTING SERVICE the owners of SAVED BY THE BELL are in the bar and inform me that they don’t think the 6lb rise is enough to stop him winning again, they agree to me sharing the information, as they have already had their monies on, so I complete my day and email this out.
The Rock breaks the seal on the first bottle of bubbly and it’s now time to chill, we have both had good cash bets on SAVED BY THE BELL, which thankfully we can cheer home and collect our readies. A super day already and we can head into York knowing we have just one final piece of the jigsaw to complete.
Richard is his normal moaning self in the waterfront and I am pleased to say the tomahawk steaks are no more, after my moans last time and a nice sirloin and a Chablis are winging their way to our table four.
Oi oi SOUVILLE caps a great winning day for both services, as jointly we must have picked up nearly 30points profit.
Saturday 14th. For once we were not scuppered by Friday the 13th and had a brilliant winning day again yesterday.
Today’s free tip:
3.50 York NAADIRR Each Way SKYBET 14/1 5 places.
Oh have I mentioned the beating I gave the Don, as a prize I have been asked and accepted to do the five day Royal Ascot Special, join me and let’s attempt to ease some more folding out of the Greedy 1s.
Socialists thinks that profits are a vice, I consider losses are the real vice. Winston Churchill.
Good luck and goodbye.
Back next Saturday.
