Sunday 4th. The adrenalin is freely flowing this morning as I open the racing post, after a very near and “if only” day yesterday, as both my FREE tips came agonisingly close, AUSTRALIA and SHIFTING POWER were trading at both ends of the spectrum in the betting as AUSTRALIA traded at 4/1 second fav and Frankies mount was basically the rag at 100/1. Coming into the dip, I have to check the colours as Frankie is just about leading the stands side group at 100/1, KINGSMAN kicks on as they hit the rising ground and for all intense purposes looks the winner, but “King Kieren” has other ideas as he comes to take it up and drifts markedly across the course and nearly collides with our very fast finishing AUSTRALIA and wins a shade costly. Leaving our 100/1 shot SHIFTING POWER a gut wrenching fourth.
Although to the eye AUSTRALIA looks a super candidate for the English Derby, I do question the 7/4 on offer and I certainly wouldn’t be in a rush to take it and our 100/1 fourth SHIFTING POWER heads for the French equivalent.
This morning, as I say in my 7am email, I find it astonishing that the MIGHTY YAR is trading at a huge price of 13/2, it’s not often I can say this about the greedy 1s, but according to my tissues, I think we have found one that has slipped through the net, as I have punted this big myself, I advise my clients to do likewise and snap up the VC super price.
PRINCESS NOOR is from the powerful Roger Varion stable and after her Royal Ascot win last year, coupled with the fact that Johnny Murtagh, after jumping off her and saying he is confident she will get a mile, at 33/1 she looks overpriced.
Finally I email out the Silvester Kirk trained NAKURI at 11/2 as a good ew bet and that is ANDY BELLS selections complete for the day.
With all the cracking racing today, I am rather concerned that I still have nothing for the LATE BETTING SERVICE.
Ryan Moore, the man in form, once again rides a peach of a race on Lady Cecil’s flashy grey, MIGHTY YER and gets her to produce a gem of a run and wins cosily by just over a length. A cracking start to the day as we have just bagged over 30 points profit.
My PRINCESS NOOR, in all honesty is never at the races and finishes in the back half of the field as the French trained filly wins the 1000g nicely.
Just after the 1000, I get a very exciting text, reading ” Our very special filly TAGHROODA, who’s homework suggests she is the best 3yo filly we have, is fully expected to win the 5-00 here today and win it well, on her way to the Oaks.”
I pass this message onto the LATE BETTING SERVICE clients and on the back of this text I than have my biggest bet of the weekend at evens on her. I also take the view, that if my contact, who is the bollocks, thinks this much of her and I am willing to back her win only today at evens, we should also have a swing at her for the Oaks at 10/1 ew, which I do and also advise.
NAKURI flatters to deceive as she cruises up besides the leaders two out and than finds nothing and once again as all good ews do finishes fourth.
OMG she certainly possesses class in abundance as TAGHROODA scoots away from the field and wins by a eased down 6 lengths. The LATE BETTING SERVICE clients have not only secured a maximum winning bet today, but are all now sitting on 10/1 Anti-post vouchers for the Oaks on a 3/1 shot.
A good winning day personally and also for both my services.
Monday 5th. A most pleasing weekends work where we all made a decent profit and we are all on TURGID at 10/1, who is now as short as 5/2 in places, for the oaks.
I have major problems with my sim card today and it seems like I have lost an arm, that’s how reliant I am on my mobile nowadays, quite sad really, but that’s all part of moving forward and technology I suppose.
I am late putting up my selection and it’s more the pity I did as NORWAY finishes second and just about rounds of a dismal day.
Tuesday 6th. Mobile sorted for now anyway as a new sim arrives in the post, but I have to get to a Vodafone shop to get all my data transferred , which is a pain and I am not going to bother today. Luckily I can receive and send texts as normal, if only I could remember the numbers, I do know how each contact word their texts which is very handy and I also receive my average 50ish calls during the morning.
Today is super busy and Steve seems on fire as he reckons he has two crackers today in the Hunter Chasers.
Fakenham one of my more local tracks stages the first, where ROCKETEER heads the betting and we have word that the second fav is going to be punted, but for the life of us we can’t see why. I put ROOKETEER up as a big win bet and also have two separate lumpy bets on him. Jack the Cap, who is also in my top three contacts has been convinced by the stable that CRYSTAL LAKE has at least another win in her before the handicapper has a proper hold, so at 3/1 I also email my ANDY BELL clients advising to back this Jim Crowley mount at Kempton.
Steve confirms his earlier thoughts about BRADLEY BROOK, which enables me to give the LATE BETTING clients a piece of the action later this evening.
I personally back ROCKETEER and BRADLEY BROOK singularity and back them in a good ew double. I couldn’t advise this to my clients as they were on separate services and the time span between them being confirmed didn’t allow it. CRYSTAL LAKE is just back in a single.
This dreaded rain needs to be drying up and not ruining, what is now great betting and racing ground.
CRYSTAL LAKE gets a typical Jim Crowley ride as he kicks for home two out and it seems a never ending furlong as he gamely wins by just under a length. A fantastic start to the day as ANDY BELLS clients have bagged a big bet and we have boosted our month by 20ish points. Better to come as we thought ROCKETEER does drift to an amazing price of 2/1 and bolts in at Fakenham. I am now thinking why ever didn’t I put them in an ew double as I normally do when I get two that strongly and I have not done it either. I am now thinking maybe I have personally done it wrong as well.
As I haven’t endured the torturous journey to Fakenham, I decide with a couple of hours to kill a tea time pint or two is in order.
I thought ROCKETEER had won easily but when I can see young Daren Edwards swinging off the bridle I am most enthused and when he cockily kicks him and just cruises away for a super easy win I am delighted, well that’s an understatement.
A great, great day for me and both my services and that should promote us up the BETFAN who’s who table.
Wednesday 7th. I awake this morning to gleefully see ANDY BELL is at the top of the BETFAN tree and the LATE BETTING SERVICE has also crept on.
Nothing goes right today as I don’t have a winner and my phone once again cocks up, proving it wasn’t the sim card. A crap day all round, sorry.
Thursday 8th. After the disappointments of yesterday I am very excited that my Gosden team have told me they have a maximum ew bet at Chester today in the 2-45. ROMSDAL. As I don’t have a great deal of form to go on I take the view that they know the time of day, as their past information has proved and they say that he has been burning up the gallops and will go very close this afternoon. At 5/1 I max him ew via email and also punt him myself.
The very shrewd Chris Dwyer stable are going for a touch on their TEEJAYBE at Southwell this afternoon, so knowing how they like a punt I advise my clients to take the 2/1 early price, which i also do.
It’s been a relatively quiet week as I do not bother to attend Chester anymore. I have had eight years on the trot drinking and abusing my body within the walled city. Graham an ex publican used to be my roomy and by god that’s a man that could drink for England. One particular night stands out as we were staggering around looking for our next port of call, for what seemed like ages, when suddenly he said let’s try this place. On entering I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, but when he said ” oh let’s try upstairs” I did wonder how he knew. Anyway on arriving upstairs it was full of scantly clad beauties and a roulette table. Let’s try roulette he says innocently and after buying our chips and I had my first win a scantly clad beauty approached me and said two more wins and your be ok. Not knowing what she meant I continued. Now wanting the little boys room I asked Graham where it was, his quick reply was up the stairs turn left first on the right, how did you know that I enquire and with a smile the perv confessed he had been here before.
Back to the roulette table again and my lucky 23 came up and this time the Scantly left me in no doubt what my chips would pay for behind the curtain. I will leave it to your imaginations whether I accepted or declined like a good boy.
Ryan Moore at his best and William Buick at his worst as ROMSDAL gets beaten by a very fast finishing nose and a yard over the line our 5/1 shot is in front. A most annoying ew maximum had escaped our clutches, ok we had not lost, but that’s not the name of the game, 30 points had gone begging through once again a top professional being tactically inept. The only solace is I can take from the race is that our information is spot on again.
TEEJAYBE runs no sort of race and the Dwyer stables money is left in the satchels for a change, it’s not often they get it wrong, today was one of them as he was smashed up in the betting from our 2s into even money.
Two each way bets for the LATE BETTING clients didn’t prove fruitful as they both very annoyingly finishes in the dreaded fourth.
Friday 9th. I have my first call from Great Yarmouth telling me that local boy Louis Steward, who has ridden RUNNING DEER four times and won on him twice will go very close at Chester in the apprentice race today. At 5/1 I can see this is a bet to nothing ew so I punt him and also advise my clients to do likewise.
GABRIALS BOUNTY looks primed to give the Doctor another winner at his belovered Chester and with Ryan Moore in the plate the 13/2 ew looks to good to be missed, so we add this to our bet list.
Finally Hughsey teams up with Alan King on CHOCOLA in the 6-05 at Ascot and I am told this is very well fancied and expected to win, under a typical hold up ride from Hughsey, so at 15/8 we all bet this as well and it completes the day, unless something comes through for the LATE BETTING clients.
Just after the disappointment of GABRIALS BOUNTY getting stuck in the month has settled, gosh he was well punted our 13/2 looked huge against the 11/4 sp. I get Jack the Hat calling to tell me to ready my troops as we have a maximum ew bet at Ascot tomorrow which is 14/1 and expected to run very close. After speaking in length to him about it, I am not sure whether I can put this out as a free tip tomorrow or just confine it to my paying clients, I shall decide in the morning.
Louis rides a good race on RUNNING DEER and finishes second and well clear of the third, so again no harm done, but these seconds and fourths are now starting to agitate me a shade.
Richard Hughes is his normal cool self and win cosily on CHOCOLA at a very well backed 11/8, once again making our 15/8 look a steal.
A good winning day for us all again and now to look forward to the weekend and see what joys Ascot and the M25 brings.
Saturday 10th. We are slowly creating up the BETFAN table again after yesterday’s winnings. As I said yesterday we have a super double figure priced bet today that runs in the Victoria Cup at Ascot, a nice easy little 28 runner affair.
FREE BET. The Victoria Cup 3-50 Ascot LOVING SPIRIT – Each Way16/1 sportingodds (first 5 places)
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Hopefully we are all busy counting our winnings well into tomorrow with today’s free tip.
Good luck and be good.
