Rather than put out my usual newsletter I want to give a plug to the Injured Jockey Fund and help you find some gifts that might come in handy for Christmas. They do the most wonderful work in helping jockeys and their families and it’s a charity well worth supporting.
I get valuable updates from John Francome and they are close to opening a centre up North which was the brainchild of ex trainer Jack Berry which will be very similar to Oaksey House in the South of England. So please help by purchasing some of Xmas gifts from their brochure.
Now dont panic I have still got a Howies Hottie for today plus the eyecatchers. The hottie goes in the 5.30 Kempton and is Karam Albaari from the John Jenkins yard. This horse was considered good enough to run in group 1 races earlier in his career and has dropped from a rating of 109 down to 85. The horse is still an entire meaning he hasn’t had his bits cut off and the trainer seems keen to try and get another win out of him.
This race is well within his ability if he consents to put his best foot forward and at double figure odds it’s worth the risk.
Legal Legacy trainer L.Carter – Ran a good 2nd at Kempton and looks well treated by the assessor.
Mac Aeda trainer M.Jefferson – Just seemed to need the run on his seasonal debut. Well handicapped and could have a good season jumping.
Dildar trainer P.Nicholls – French bred that also needs his first run to blow away the cobwebs. I’m sure the trainer will now find the right race for him.
Thomas Edison trainer A.J.Martin – Irish horse that did well to make the frame after being badly hampered and sure to win hurdle races before long.
Back next Wednesday have a good one and be lucky.
