Gambling Don’s Saturday Showtime!

September 29, 2012 By admin Leave a Comment

It was great to be at Newmarket to witness Certify win yesterday and what was even better for TGD was that my private members got stuck in as it was a strong selection. It snapped a frustrating case of seconditus which is a strange thing when you are a professional gambler because you are pleased you are on the right lines but gutted they are getting chinned on the line.

This is the time to join me because the floodgates are about to open and the winners are about to come flooding in. I’ve been in this game to long and I’m too good at it to be worried by a few seconds. The TGD Saturday column bet is becoming the talk of Racing and you only have to look at the record 10/1, 16/1, 9/4 winners and last week Spinatrix placed at 16/1 in the Ayr Silver Cup to know you are dealing with a pro at the very top of the game.

Today I turn my attention to one of the great handicaps of the season The Cambridgeshire at Newmarket this afternoon. I had a huge Antepost selection in the race Dannadana from the Luca Cumani yard but he isn’t lining up sadly but watch out for him wherever he goes next. The horses who do line up today are proving hugely difficult for the bookies to separate and it shows you just how competitive the race is that William Hill go 12/1 the field.

Chill The Kite from the Hughie Morrison yard is the fave with many and is clearly a talented horse but what puts me off him is how difficult he is to settle. If you waste energy in this race by pulling to hard you won’t have the gas at the end when you need it so I’m giving him the swerve today. The horse I much prefer and the one who I think will win today’s race is the Willie Haggas trained Mukhadram who you can back with Totesport at 12/1with 5 places that’s a mighty attractive bet. The feeling around the yard is that this horse is a group horse in the making and he has been laid out for this by his ultra shrewd trainer. My slight concern is that Paul Hanagan rides but the horse should be fairly simple to steer. Though it’s a big field there is a lot of dead wood in this in the form of seriously exposed older handicappers. Mukhadram will be too quick for these and can win today before going on to much bigger and better things.

So turn off the Ryder Cup or whatever else your doing at 3.40 and watch one of the great Cavalry Charges of the year.

If you want to bet with a top on course professional and receive bets of the highest quality then join me. The end of the flat and the start of the jumps is a quiet time for many but not for me so don’t miss out any longer… IT’S SHOWTIME!

Back next Saturday.
