Well despite having had tendon trouble for three weeks Henrik Stenson obliterated his field in Dubai and is now the King of all he surveys.
He has won the Fedex Cup and the Race to Dubai literally winning both Major Tours and forget what any ratings say he is the Worlds best Golfer by far. Stenson has netted himself nearly ten million pounds in prize money this year which is not bad going by anyones standards.
The stats for last week were phenomenal and it’s easy to see why he won by six shots, first in driving distance and he was mostly using a three wood, first in driving accuracy (virtually unheard of to top them both), first in greens in regulation, the list goes on. Even Woods at his very best ten years ago rarely beat up a top field in this fashion.
What the big Swede has to do is hold this form and add the only thing missing from his CV Major titles! All four will be at his mercy next year and with the belief he has now married to that extraordinary talent I’m not sure anyone else around can stop him.
This week is incredibly busy with the South African Open including local hero Charles Schwartzel heading the betting. Schwartzel loves his home Tournaments and though he has had a poor year by his standards this time last year he was awesome on home turf.
We also have the World Cup of Golf played at Royal Melbourne where the Aussies with a team of Scott and Day start a red hot fave. They will be roared on by a passionate crowd and will be tough to beat. This is one of the Worlds greatest golf courses and if the wind gets up one of it’s most difficult too.
Not content with that there is the Dunlop Phoenix a huge Invitational in Japan where Luke Donald heads a strong field. Donald was swinging it well in Dubai and will be confident he can get back in the winners enclosure this week.
The ratings have been in overdrive sorting these three Tournaments out so get involved today and you can get my selections for them all. It’s going to be a busy week I hope you can be part of it. I look forward to seeing you on the fairways.
