It’s been a strange week at GMT towers with lots of ups and downs on a personal basis. I was pleased on Friday to land the free tip with Airport Captain doing it nicely. Even more pleasing was my own dog Head iton Tom comfortably qualifying in his Champion Stakes heat.
But a run of three losing tips in row for subscribers was disappointing.
I had high hopes that we were going to land some nice ante post wagers at Hove in the Sussex Cup Final meeting on Wednesday. But the track was fast, suited front runners and it seemed mighty difficult to get past, I think in Global Hawk and Express Master we had the best dogs in the races but it just wasn’t to be. So we had to settle for just the one ante post winner.
But as I always say ‘Form is temporary and class is permanent’ and my results prove that.
I’m hopeful rather than confident with Tommy’s semi final tonight he was the very last dog drawn out of the hat, he was rewarded with a trap 5 draw in the the third semi. Like I said last week when I was interviewed on RPGTV by Jon Hobbs qualification is all that matters and to get to the Final would be fantastic.
Now a very worthwhile plea for some sponsorship.
The Puppy Derby has been staged every year at Wimbledon, including during World War II, since its inception in 1929 which, as he says, surely makes it the longest running greyhound competition at one track. 2013 would have been its 85th successive year but it appears to have been allowed to die without so much as a whimper. We simply cannot allow that, what sort of custodians of the sport could?
So if you know of anyone who would like to step in and sponsor such a prestigious competition and receive live Sky TV exposure then email me and I will pass on your details to the right people.
The Betfan Puppy Derby has a nice ring to it!! Lol
Onto the free tip once again we are off to Romford and I have had a good word for Bubbly Rocket, he is expected to win tonight. He was bought by the Champagne Club during the Derby after some very nice early paced performances, where ran as Stonepark Crash. A repeat of his latest trial should do the trick.
