Been hitting the crossbar this week until last night where we landed a short price double but we’re still comfortably in front for another month, so no dramas.
Been a busy week of watching top class action started on Monday with Musical Gaga setting the standard in the TV Trophy heats by breaking the eight bend Yarmouth track record.
Farloe Tango and Incitatus were the other heat winners.
Sponsors Paddy Power go 1/3 that Gaga will win next Wednesdays Sky TV covered Final. I won’t be playing at that price but can’t see the ‘lady’ get beat!
Over at Sheffield the Steel City Cup heats took place on Tuesday and there were a few upsets with the unusual system of 6 heats with only the first and second going through to the semi finals where the first three make the final. For me Elaine Parker’s Pay Freeze was the star of the show and he would be my idea of the outright winner.
Wednesday saw the grand opening of the new RPGTV studios which look first class, my old trainer Jimmy Daly was the guest, good to see him land the first winning nap at the new studios. Nothing was of interest to me in the all graded cards from Romford & Coventry, though I was taken by Steves Dream in winning the S1 in a flying 35.62 – one to keep an eye on if going for a maiden 575 next Friday.
Thursday saw the semi finals of the Brighton Belle where my outright ante post advice Bridge Ruth went quickest clocking 29.64 other heat winners were Jaytee Jules in 29.84 and Zena’s Elena 30.27. I expect Ruth to land us the ante post lolly next Thursday on RPGTV with the minimum of fuss.
So lots to look forward to next week with all these competitions ongoing along with the Romford Puppy Cup starting next Friday.
Tonight I’m off for my usual fix of live action from Romford where there is a very good card on show. Readers of this newsletter are more then welcome to join me at the Essex track where I will help them find some winners, so come racing and meet the GMT.
Email me and let me know if your coming along… email@example.com
Now it seems that whatever I tip as the free tip it wins a week later – Reel Trickyone did exactly that last week. This week Guy Gibson did the same on Monday night both dogs finished second then won next time out! I’m just ahead of my time…….lol
Tonight the hammer falls on………. Big Peter Goodfellow’s Landed at Last in the feature race at the Essex track the Coral on TV Puppy Trophy Final. All eyes will be on unbeaten Millwards Bengie but he’s lost the red vest and will have trouble clearing my selection who has good winning form being drawn on the fence. He is massive value at 5/1 to break well and lead all the way.
