Normal Friday with newsletter and FFT sorted with my nemesis Ali’s Avenger selected. I then nipped out for a paper and got my car washed. Back home for lunch then I was killing time until the bookies priced up the rest of the Romford card. When I had another look after it had been all priced up – I thought it was a tough card. I had already decided I was not going and decided to watch on RPGTV. I sent out in hindsight what was a speculative second selection Domino Storm. Ali’s Avenger continued to be my nemesis when having every chance behind Kilcar Lassie. Domino Storm was slow away and found every bit of trouble going.
As I say ‘theres always tomorrow’
Up and out fairly sharpish as it was time catch a flight from Stansted to tartan tipster country to see my dear old mum. The airport was rammed full of travellers. Once at the departure gate I took my place in the queue. We british people like a queue but I had a Russian couple who jumped the queue just in front of me. When the stewardess told them about it – no speak English! They stayed put despite several protests. Strangely enough they were seated not far for me and surprise surprise when the trolley arrived – perfect English was spoken – we’re far to soft in this country. Read the RP from cover to cover, highlighting one bet for tonight. On arrival eventually collected my bag and a hire car where more queueing took place in an orderly fashion. It was raining cats & dogs, but I arrived safely at my mums.
B365 had priced up the three Wimbledon opens which was good as the usual Crayford/Newcastle fare was poor. Sent out one of my favourite bitches Evanta Evita as a strong bet at 10/11 after having a decent bet to hopefully pay for my trip home. The bitch didn’t let’s us down and she scored in fine fashion. Read Belly’s comic and saw he tipped Exocet to his punters – as I did with a maximum bet. Might have to throw in the odd horse tip when I fancy one.
Sunday no kennel visit and no cooked breakfast – I was mums taxi for most of the day. Which I didn’t mind in the least, I did get a RP then quickly looked at the Henlow card and liaised with Angus but we both there was no stand out bet. Taxi duties over I set about sending out one strong selection at Sittingbourne. Boom Boom Dani was backed with my friends at B365 at 7/4 and she got the job done with the minimum of fuss, leading all the way, returned the very well backed 4/6f which I watched in the betting shop. I stayed to watch my own dog Goes Hot who denied me a massive pay out at 10/1 from my fav bookies b365, when coming a running on short head second in the sprint. I then visited my sister in law for dinner and a few commiseration drinks. Things are picking up nicely.
Monday saw very poor fare at Nottingham in there opens so an early no bet was sent out. So spent a lovely day out with mum at the beach in Montrose brought back a few childhood memories. Popped out at night to meet a couple of my old Scotland cricket team-mates and ‘chewed the fat’ over a couple of light refreshments. A very pleasant day.
Tuesday saw no open racing in the country and I will not get involved in graded racing. In fact I took my mum to Broughty Ferry for a bit of shopping and lunch. I planted myself in the betting shop and watched the morning bags action from Perry Barr and Nottingham and it just reminded me of how hard it us to make money on graded racing! Had a lovely lunch at Jollys Hotel before visiting my auntie for a cup of tea on the way home. Spent the evening looking at the Sky Sheffield card. Two maximum bets were my focus for tomorrow.
Up early and the Racing Post was waiting in the letter box for me I set about sending out the bets. I sent to maximum bets out to both my services. I couldn’t see King Kane 11/8 get beat in the Tv Trophy Final and the race before was at the mercy of Conna Trigger 7/4 who landed us a nice touch when winning the Sunderland sprint competition. Took my mum out for a few bits before a quick lunch and I set off back to Edinburgh airport for my flight back to Essex. I was early at the airport so did some people watching – a fine pastime. Airport food is getting nearly as bad as the motorway services for rip-off prices. Anyway nice flight home and arrived in time to watch both my tips land us the money via my Sky Go app on my phone. In fact when King Kane won, I was waiting outside the airport to be picked up by Mrs D, my cheers of victory received some strange looks from the other travellers. Went to bed very happy counting £££s.
Thursday there was no open racing in the UK. RPGTV was showing graded fare from Hove & Monmore. So it was again a no bets advised day. I caught up with a few chores on my return from Scotland. The Irish derby was also starting tonight but again that’s not my cup of tea from a betting angle. However it did give me time to research the Monmore Gold Cup heats covered live in your betting shops tomorrow afternoon. I sent out an evening advice of my two ante post selections for the Gold Cup to subscribers.
Wow it’s Friday again and we need to find a winner for our free tip followers.
I gave Aero Babooshka a mention last week as she is coming right out of season, but had a terrible draw. She’s got a better draw to work from this week and she’s worth a bet.
Win bet @ 11/4 B365 & Lads
Back nect Friday.
