Horse racing is considered the champagne and dog racing the beer but just try it and you will be say hail to the ale!
Also on the betting front there are only 6 runners and with a little study you can narrow the field down giving you a better chance of finding a winner. I must say it’s nice to see that Betfan have found a tipster in Greyhound Master Tipster that is making exceptional profits.
Greyhounds are beautiful, graceful animals with wonderful temperaments and make superb family pets when they retire.
Last Saturday I was at Hove Stadium to watch my girlfriend Barbara’s Hanover Lady (kennel name Wendy) romp home in the big race of the night. Barbara is a member of the Norah McEllistrim syndicate and the 30 plus members were told get on bigtime it will pay for your Christmas.
Obviously I could not put it out as a tip but from time to time you will see we do put up the odd greyhound tips on Fold4Gold such as on Sunday where we gave members a 4/1 winner at Hove.
For those of you interested in owning a greyhound or joining a syndicate just google Norah McEllistrim and you can find all her contact details. In fact owning a dog can be great for you business as it can run in your companies name which is amazing advertising.
While I’m on my doggy soap box wouldn’t it be great if we could get West Ham and Orient to share the Olympic Stadium and we could get Orient Chairman Barry Hearn to run greyhound racing on days there is no footy. I think we should all write to Boris Johnson telling him it is the best way forward to stop the Stadium becoming a white elephant.
Back to today’s horse racing we have two jump cards abandoned. Therefore for Howies Hottie I’m at the Kempton polytrack and playing in the 4.15.
This is a 2 year old handicap over the mile and the selection is Lambert Pen owned and trained by the great Mick Channon. The horse was staying on over 7 furlongs last time and the extra yardage and Chris Catlins strength in the saddle plus bottom weight should give us decent each way claims.
It would be super to see Mick have another winner but do look out for his select team of jumpers as he now works very closely with retired trainer Henrietta Knight.
I could tell you some funny stories about Mr Channon in his playing days with the Saints but we will save those for another day one in particular but I don’t want to upset Kevin Keegan.
Moorhouse Lad trainer G.Moss – Front runner who is well handicapped but he does need his own way at the head of affairs. Look out for him in races where he might be the only pace setter.
Mariet trainer Suzy Smith – Last time he went off too quickly and the time before noted making late headway. Could well win a low grade handicap at a very juicy price.
Monte Cavallo trainer Rebecca Curtis – Owned by the Ramsdens who are parents of Channel 4 presenter Emma. Need better grounds and holding up for a late finishing burst. With the right conditions and A.P. on top he will be hard to beat. If we get the right race please take an early price as Jack Ramsden can bet for England.
Irish Buccaneer trainer P.Hobbs – Only beaten by lack of fitness next time he will be cherry ripe.
Salden Licht trainer A.King – Beaten by Vulcanite who was a banker for Bankers Bonus. The trainer stated Vulcanite would never beat him again as the 2nd had just come back from a lay off. Winning jockey A.P also agreed.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
