Firstly I must say well done to the England cricket team for a superb win to level the Test series with India. Great innings from Cook and Pietersen plus super bowling from Panesar and Swann.
Monty in particular bowled brilliantly and many thanks must be given to Mark Robinson and his coaching team down at Sussex who kept faith in Panesar when others had given up on this talented spin bowler.
Sussex are a great family club who nurtured Panesar and Prior and I predict they will do it again next season with Rory Hamilton-Brown. The big hitting allrounder was devastated by the untimely death of his Surrey team mate Tom Maynard and lost his motivation in the sport. He has now returned to Sussex where he will be given the best care and coaching in the game. The end result being a next season call up by the England one day team.
It’s great to see Harry Redknapp back as manager at Q.P.R. He says he has no allegiance with his last team Tottenham and all his family including his dog Rosie are now wearing blue and white hoops.
One thing is for sure although they are bottom of the Premiership they wont be parking the bus and kicking lumps out of the opposition to survive. Harry’s teams always play the beautiful game in the correct manner unlike some I could mention.
The racing has been decimated by the rains which have been of Noahs Arc proportions and even those turf meetings that have survived are throwing up some strange results meaning lots of form should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Having said that today we have three meetings on the artificial surface. I can’t say allweather as Southwell had to transfer today’s card to Wolverhampton because of flooding.
Last week I questioned why many other tipsters never put up multiple bets when giving more than one selection. So for Howies Hottie today I’m going to put my money where my mouth is. Too many tipsters give you one little winner and then shout about it like they have given you the six winning lottery numbers. So today I’m having a fun crack at a Lucky 15.
They might come unstuck but we will have an exciting and enjoyable day and if it does hit the target I will see you next week on the beach in Barbados.
Firstly I advise you to have the bet with Bet Fred as they pay a bonus of triple odds for one winner.
At the time of writing there are no early odds but I expect odds between 3/1 and 16/1 on my selections. Remember the bet is win and consists of 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 4fold which equals 15 bets.
THE SELECTIONS ARE…
Corporal Madox – 1.00 Lingfield
Flamborough Breeze – 3.40 Lingfield
Flywheel – 3.50 Wolverhampton
Harris Tweed – 6.0 Kempton
Rakaan trainer J.Osborne – Just touched off at Kempton and a very well handicapped individual.
Golden Desert trainer S.Dow – Given a superb ride by Graham Lee when winning at Lingfield and remains on a very fair rating.
Mad Max trainer N.Mulholland – Jumped well at Ascot but hated the heavy ground. Expect a bold show at a big price when having better ground.
Katkeau trainer D.Pipe – Looked all over the winner in the big hurdle at Haydock last Saturday until making a mistake.
Barafundle trainer Jennie Candish – Ran in the same race as Katkeau where he tired late on having been off the track for a long time.
Torn Asunder trainer G.Elliot – Highly regarded Irish hurdler who got collared close home in heavy ground. Perhaps a slightly shorter trip is the answer.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
