I am told the inappropriate language used by referee Mark Clattenburg at Stanford Bridge on Sunday was to call Fernando Torres a striker. Clattenburg is in hot water for words he said to Chelsea players and one of them was off.
There is talk he could be sacked but will Man Utd still honour his contract? Practically every decision he made went Uniteds way. Fergie said these decisions even themselves out over the season and I’m sure he is right for Utd as half of them come away and the rest at home.
The two meet again tonight in The Capital Cup which could turn out to be the best fight since Frazier fought Ali. Betting comparison site Oddschecker say Clattenburg is 75/1 to give up refereeing for a career in politics and it’s 20/1 for either manager to be sent to the stands.
Then on Saturday Utd are at home to Arsenal with Howard Webb taking the whistle. I believe Webb bears a grudge against the Old Trafford club after failing to win their player of the year award. The fourth official for Saturdays game against the Gunners could be Eamonn Holmes with Bobby Charlton as linesman.
On the tipping front its been a super week for all three services I’m involved with. Firstly on Sunday Fold4Gold fired in a 33/1 winner in Simonside and the same day Bets Unleashed advised Gus Macrae (last weeks eyecatcher) at 10/1. Some of the clients myself included who are members of both services put them in a double paying 340/1.
Bets Unleashed had already fired in a 40/1 double earlier in the week. If that wasn’t enough Bankers Bonus got in on the act landing a 40/1 double on Monday.
As you well know all these results can be verified on the Betfan proofing boards. So my advice is if you are looking for winners but also want a chance of hitting the jackpot these three services offer you that opportunity as just one of their multiple bets could push you into profit for the whole year.
We have another Howies Hottie for you today but please be aware not all the best info is free and sometimes you have to put your hand in your pocket to get winners as mentioned above.
I’m going to play on the polytrack at Kempton this evening in the 7.35. The selection is the George Baker trained Tartan Gunna. This disappointing gelding has dropped 23lbs in the ratings since the turn of the year. Even last time at Lingfied he was very slowly away and never in contention however I noticed him staying on at the finish making me think that he could still be competitive in low grade events.
Also George Baker has recently relocated from his old base at Whitsbury to Mantons Barton Yard which is on the 2,500 acre site owned by the Sangsters. Brian Meehan also trains at this wonderful facility and I’m sure George will be firing in lots of winners from his new home before long.
EYECATCHERS
We have had some nice winners from the eyecatchers recently at 12/1, 9/1 and 6/1 so keep em peeled and they are all FREE!
Ginger Ted trainer S.Williams – Has won his last two races but is well handicapped on the polytrack and could get the hattrick.
Bold Marc trainer Mrs K.Burke – Runs very well on the Southwell fibresand and when getting an easy lead he will be very difficult to peg back.
Jacobs son trainer R.Mills – An Epsom stable that seems to slip under the radar. This front runner has slipped to a very attractive rating and goes very well at Southwell.
Ace of Spies trainer C.Dore – Another Southwell specialist who looks primed for a good winter on this surface.
Kid Cassidy trainer N.Henderson – Beaten behind impressive winner Gus Macrae at Aintree but made up plenty of late ground. If they can sharpen up his jumping he can soon make the frame at the very least.
Oscatara trainer D.McCain – Ran in an Aintree Bumper last Sunday. He would have given Fold4Gold a huge winning double with 33/1 winner Simonside but he faded to finish 4th. I feel he will improve for his debut and the trainer thinks he has plenty of potential.
Harris Garden trainer P.Webber – He will improve for his seasonal appearance where he was 2nd behind Tominator. This was a pleasing performance and I’m sure shrewd connections will find the right race.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
Howard Davis.
