Today sees a range of International football Friendly matches which are about as much use as Arsenals trophy cabinet. See I even make comments about my own team when the need arises.
England take on Sweden and could give debuts to Carl Jenkinson and Wilfed Zaha. Both of these guys still seem not sure if they should be playing for England or other countries. surely by the age of twenty they should know where their allegiances lie. Surely this is not the best way to help team spirit.
Remember the Irish team managed by Jackie Charlton. If you had an Irish granny, Drank Guinness or have ever backed the winner of the Irish Derby you were in and boy the way those boyos played for the shirt was magnificent.
Now a little bit of good news to look out for. As most of you know I love to find a horse who could be up to winning the 2000gns and have little investments throughout the Winter. Well I have come up with a selection that fits the bill. Over the last few years Cockney Rebel, Henry the Navigator and See the Stars have made me a nice few quid to put it mildly and I feel this horse could be as good as any of these.
Now this horse has only ever run twice winning its last race. The trainer has said he will be aimed at a classic trial next April and then hopefully the Classic at Newmarket next May. At the moment we are waiting for quotes on Betfair and we expect a price of bigger than 500/1.
I have to wait until connections have got their money down but once I get the green light I am going to release this information on the Wednesday Newsletter FREE to all readers. This type of info could never be found in newspapers or from other tipsters, but I want Betfan readers and myself to have something special to Dream of over the Winter. I’m not saying it’s going to win but by golly we will have some fun and if it does turn out to be as good as I think it is next May we will be laughing all the way to the bank.
After a couple days of very poor racing today’s cards have a more positive look to them and for Howies Hottie I’m going to suggest a bet on Beautiful Day in the 2.50 Southwell. A far better horse on fibresand than on the grass this gelding is now back on his favoured surface. At the time of writing he is 11/2 with Paddy Power and this prominent racer should give us a good run for our money.
Fonterutoli trainer R.Ingram – Finished well at Lingfield last time and perhaps a slight increase in distance could do the trick.
Waydownsouth trainer P.J.Flynn – One to watch out for when he runs at Dundalk. This gelding so well handicapped that he must soon be winning.
Stow trainer Rebecca Curtis – Looked all over the winner at Ffos Las on Sunday until lack of fitness took its toll.
Standing Ovation trainer D.Pipe – Tailed off at Ffos Las on ground that was far to soft. With better ground you will see a much better display and it is horses like this that run poorly for a good reason that pop up at very big prices.
Utopian trainer N.Gifford – Ran on strongly yesterday behind Dunlough Bay. If the trainer improves his jumping this is a horse to follow. Also watch this race closely as I’m sure there are quite a few winners in it waiting to happen.
Back next Wednesday be lucky.
