It’s Never Over, Till It’s Over! “Never Give Up, Never.”

June 28, 2014 By admin Leave a Comment

It’s Never Over, Till It’s Over! “Never Give Up, Never.”

Sunday 22nd. How apt was last weeks Mr Churchill’s quote that I used, which I just had to use as this weeks diary title. We had been doing ok on the special and hitting winners every day, but being killed by the countless hard luck stories, which is Royal Ascot and the heart breaking number of seconds.

As the great man said,  It’s Never Over, Till It’s Over! “Never Give Up, Never.” …and we didn’t.

Although I thought oh no, here were go again, as we hit another 2nd in the first race with TOSCANINI at 11/2, making that six for the week and even worse when Mrs Cecil’s HAMELIN was unsighted.

Light was at the end of the tunnel as Sir Michaels ex Derby hope TELESCOPE soon has us cheering our first winner of the day home at a great price of 9/4. Ryan Moore was supremely confident as he took it up 2f out and never looked like getting caught. We then backed Paul Hannigan to make amends for his poor Newmarket ride on ALJAMAAHEER and although he didn’t quite get up again, I proportion no blame towards the jockey this time.

Once again we had a really good early start and I was conscious that the points and winnings were slipping away again and next we had the very difficult Wokingham. BACCARAT was our selection, as I thought his last run at York was very encouraging and the stable has always believed in his ability, at 14/1 he looked a cracking ew bet, BACCARAT made his run up the stands rail and hit the front at the furlong post and pulled clear to win a very difficult looking Wokingham quite easily. Oi oi a 14/1 winner.

Our day finishes with two winners, two seconds and a non runner in the last. So in all a very profitable last day and after the impossible looking task we were set,  of picking a horse in every one of the 30 races over five days, I am pleased to say and also proud, that we have finished about a cup of tea out.

In summary we have finished the Royal Ascot special with at least one winner on every day, totaling an amazing 7 for the meeting and not forgetting the dreaded and sometimes heart breaking 7 seconds.

I will look forward to joining you all, if I am asked, for the next special and hopefully, we will be set an easier task and can clean up like we did at Epsom.

I was watching this all unfold at Newmarket from the box, I was entertaining, not cardboard. I had put up EXTORTIONIST as my free column bet at 16/1, but had pre warned all my ANDY BELL clients beforehand to grab the 16/1 as the price would collapse as soon as this got out. I had also had a very strong word from the all conquering William Haggis stable regarding TOKEN OF LOVE who was trading at 15/8. Having put EXTORTIONIST up as an ew bet at 16/1 and TOKEN OF LOVE as a win bet at 15/8, I also  decided to advise putting the two up in our once frowned upon ew double.

Newmarket is lovely today the sun is shining and there is a spring in every non footballing fans step. With my chat done and tips advised, with the hospitality wine and food consumed, I can leave the box on the pretense of wanting to look at the paddock. Hehehe I pop in the owners bar for a quick beer and a nose around. The art of this tipping game in corporate boxes is to earn your X’s have a drink and a bite to eat and leave before your fancied runners ply their trade. It’s suicidal to remain in there, in case it all goes tits up and you have to endure all the  sideways glances that cut you in half and the early day ladies, which are no more, wine fueled tongue lashings. I will get shot for letting out the real trade secrets, but you know Bellie Boy by now, no secrets here.

Oi oi Mr Haggis, you should be a Sir by now, as he bangs in our first winner, so NOW it’s time “just to pop” back and receive the smiles the well dones and of course the now readily available bubbles and I smile to myself  as I earwig the wives telling their men, that’s why the Greedy 1s invite us, not because they like us, cause you don’t listen and always lose, OMG, did I really write that and not just think it.

Back to the paddock and EXTORTIONIST looks bang on his game and is all the rage in the ring and has been punted into 8/1.

Get out Jim, don’t get blocked in, he does and he doesn’t and runs away with the race. I take a deep intake of breath as he passes me a length to the good and instead of the almighty Oi Oi, I walk back calmly and as cool as possible having just won a tad over 10k and just as importantly making over 150 point profit for all my loyal BETFAN clients.

NOW it really is time to “pop back” and enjoy the plaudits, wine, bubbles and what ever their corporate expense account cards will stretch to.

Obviously there are no ew doubles being claimed, as the ANDY BELL clients are about too, but after the rollicking the men have received after missing the first winner, thankfully most have backed EXTORTIONIST at around 10/1.

Thankfully as I leave the box and wander down the avenue towards the exit, Colin, who has driven me is waiting and that is another very successful and extremely profitable day completed.

Sunday morning and it wasn’t one of my better ideas to twist Colin’s arm into stopping for a few on the way home, as this morning the hangover is much worse than the bank balance. We are miles out in front on the BETFAN who’s who tree with an incredible 287 points profit for June already and certainly not forgetting the LATE SERVICE, who are sitting on 73 points profit, no “O” levels required to work out, sod the points, whatever your stakes, that’s a serious amount of cash made by us all.

One thing I am very happy about is the profits have been gradually built up over the course of June and not in one lucky hit, when often it’s on the back of a long losing run and all the punters are skint and never got on, which is no use to man or beast.

Nice and early emails out today saying I am no good and couldn’t tip rubbish, so I cry off and dread the pre holiday shopping trip in to the city.

Monday 23rd. I get a very excitable call this morning, as you all now know, I love everybody winning and my very good friend and drinking partner “Paul Cabbage” also stung bet365 for just over 12k as well on our Super Saturday.

I can now get in the smartie pot Wednesday morning and fly to Malta in the know that hopefully some, NO, hopefully most of my 400ish clients are doing likewise NOW or in the very NEAR future, courtesy of the Greedy 1s.

Today’s racing seems rather mundane, but life and work must continue, so when the boys are raving about the chances of THATSABOY at 15/8 and PICC OF BURGAU at 4/1, I email these both out.

Midday ish the LATE SERVICE gets involved with another 4/1 shot PRINCE OF BURMA and also ZARDSKY across the water at 7/2, I advise both as a single bet and also my famous ew double, which I can remember was “questioned” in the early days, funny it isn’t now.

If you have a sad or a down moment please watch, The Rock Holden and Eddie “the Stat” do the draw on BetFan TV if that doesn’t make you laugh and cheer you up, you really do have major issues in your life and are beyond help and I will personally drive you to beachy head and willingly give the fateful push.

THATABOY who the money has come for and goes off at Even money, never really looks like winning and finishes third. Geoffrey Deacons PICC OF BURGAU under a typical George Baker ride wins very nicely at a very well backed 7/4 and we secure another winning day.

The LATE SERVICE are now sitting on a possible 50ish point pot as PRINCE OF BURMA bolts in at 4/1 with the sp half that and are now awaiting the second leg of their ew double tonight.

Very unusually for an ex point to pointer ZARDSKY never gets his jumping together and is beaten, but does finish third making our ew double a small winning bet.

Tuesday 24th. Winning days for both our services again yesterday, with ANDY BELL closing in on the 300 points profit for the month and the LATE SERVICE nearing the 100 points profit, as Del boy says ” we’ve had worse times bruv.”

In doing so we very nearly copped another right nice ew double, this time it was for the LATE SERVICE, having netted a very easy 4/1 winner in the afternoon, PRINCE OF BURMA and we had to wait until the last at Kilbeggen, only for ZARDSKY to blow out and finish third, so a winning day, but could of been so much better.

I think today, subconsciously my mind is on that horrid smartie pot tomorrow, as we don’t trouble the scorers and have a losing day, well that’s my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Up at stupid o clock and having to head to my fathers and onto Stansted for the 7am flight is far from ideal, but the end result should be worth it.

Wednesday 25th. A few glasses of the vino in the Windmill bar at Stansted airport, after a nightmare getting booked in and through security, which is due to the pouty air traffic controlling frogs across the water. I have nothing to bet or email pre flight, so I explain my next contact will be about 1ish.

Phew we are greeted with what feels like a smack in the mouth as we get off the plane to 31 degrees heat, I bet it’s nearly as hot as “Greyhound” Emma’s spanked arse, I wonder what the GMT thinks of his new found competition??

I am wondering why I have nothing through on my mobile and when I arrive at the apartment I can see why, the racing is awful today. I do eventually get a small ew bet through on my unflavoured aw at Kempton, ROCKY REBEL as an ew bet at 5/1 this evening.

Our location is Rabat, which is a very localist place and thankfully far enough away from the touristy bits, we have several small bars and a few good restaurants. Four or five years ago my father and I drove my Pajero four wheel drive jeep down through France, Switzerland, Italy etc, so we have our own transport here, which is brilliant.

We are welcomed with Agatha’s wonderful fish soup and her husbands amazingly good homemade Shiraz wine, gosh it’s strong and by now I can feel the effects as the bottom of the second bottle is nearing, it has been a long day though.

With nothing else happening on the horse front and the soup and second bottle of Shiraz are now things of the past we wander up the hill as it’s time to sample the local brew, Cisk XL, which is brewed here and is extremely moreish.

Vince’s  bar is our favoured daily haunt and it helps his internet is really good and quick, so he gets most of our early trade, the added bonus is we also get Maltease rates, yes even here that happens, which is €1euro a drink, a far cry from our extortionate tax inflated home prices.

Back to what’s paying for this and ROCKY doesn’t help the cause as he bombs out and finishes a well beaten sixth. Never mind we can cope with the odd loser as we’re not scrabbling around the bottom of the table near The Don.

Thursday 26th. For once I am not sad about missing the seaside today, as it’s Great Yarmouth’s third June meet, as I am sitting in my favourite place, which is GNEJNA Bay, where the sea is crystal clear, the food is wonderful, the homemade wine is mind blowing, literally and the company is even better and not a floating Yarmouth turd in site.

Although it seems a million miles away right at this moment, I bet and also email two shorties out at Yarmouth, BELARDO, which is supposed to be a well above, Roger Varion trained, average 2yo and PEARL NATION which has travelled all the way down from the flat cap country. As both of these are on the short side and very well fancied,  I feel that just two single bets are not enough and think it’s a great opportunity to cash in with a win double.

Although SALVATORIE FURY doesn’t win enough for my liking, I have a very strong word for him up in the last at Hamilton, so I email this out as a LATE bet.

It’s off to Gnejna bay today and if it’s anything like the norm it will be to much sun, Johnnys homemade wine and Guzs cooking and not enough of the exercising swimming. Although we are at their boathouse, we are fortunate enough to be able to obtain the internet via hotspots provided by the Maltease mobiles, so I can easily work from down there.

We watch BELARDO cruise to victory as we expected he would and PEARL NATION win by an easy neck. Two very nice singles and a sexy win double completed and another 30ish points profit safely tucked away in our ever growing funds.

SALVATORIE FURY never really looks like winning a finishes third, so no icing on the cake, but in all another very nice winning day, which should take us finally over the 300 points profit barrier for the month.

We decide to stay in Rabat and eat tonight, which is probably wise as I am now starting to feel the effects of another full days drinking. I think the meal was ok, well so am I told anyway.

Friday 27th. Half a point away from surpassing the magic 300 points profit mark for the month this morning after two nice winners and a double successfully completed yesterday.

The old grey matter isn’t ever so lively this morning as the mobile starts ringing, oh I’ve got to tell you my Samsom S4 was last seen floating in the loo, bastard thing, I can’t believe it fell out of my shorts and of all the f#####g places it could land and yes splash, that sobered me up quickly, I can assure you. The phone is knackered, neither the hair dryer or the cooker treatment could bring my little babe back to life, so it’s an old fashioned brick for a couple of agonising days, at least the sim card is ok.

DISCLOSURE and CLONICAS LAD are both fancied and tipped up to me, so these are both put out on the ANDY BELL service.

As the wind is in the wrong direction our planned fishing trip is cancelled, so it’s another day at the ildilic boathouse in Gnejna. Just as I am being picked up from Vinces bar, INNOCENT TOUCH at 7/2 and TOP OF THE GLAS also at 7/2  are both texted through as very strong fancies. I manage to get on both of these and also email them out to the LATE service.

Yes as I had thought to much sun, wine and food.

It’s bitter sweet time as I check the results and I am saddened to see both ANDY BELLs selections getting beaten, but delighted to see both our LATE SERVICE 7/2 shots have won.

Hopefully this will now put the LATE BETTING boys and girls over or somewhere near the 100points profit mark, for this exceptionally good month.
I can enjoy my Chinese tonight knowing that we have had another brilliant winning day.

Saturday 28th. The Chinese and company was stunning last night and I had a rare sensible head on so no dramas to report.

I am very very pleased with our strike rates on both services, which are both sitting at 45%, near enough every other bet is winning. We haven’t quite hit the 100 points on the LATE service, but are in the high 90s and I can’t quite get over that elusive 300 point barrier on BELLIE.

What about last weeks free tip, EXTORTIONIST, bolting up at an advised 16/1, I bet Joe (Corals) was well impressed as our merry BETFAN bunch steamed into his shops and punted it and than returned only to empty his till, I so wish I could do it every week for all of us.

So the pressure is firmly on today to reproduce.

Today’s Free Tip:
