Our Ascot Special bet ran a stroker to finish third last week at 33/1!!! That follows on from two winning bets the previous two Thursdays. Lets bang another one in today!!
Hope everyone had a good Ascot at Stable Line Gold my customers certainly did with a whole host of gambles landed and fittingly we ended the week with a win bet at 5/1 on Pique Sous who turning into the home straight already had a lead as long as my hoover!
Willie Mullins is some Trainer and who knows we may see this horse back next year but in Group races and he possibly runs on Saturday in the Northumberland Plate but that would be a huge ask just a week after a distance race win at the Royal meeting. However if any yard can do the seemingly impossible it’s that chap Mullins.
My colleague the Gambling Don was fuming yesterday (nearly as angry as when I told him Andy Bell had ordered the last Cornish Pasty in the concession stall at yarmouth) and with good reason when Prize Exhibit was allowed to run at Salisbury after chucking off Ryan Moore and touring Wiltshire at high speed before joining up with him at the start ages later causing the race to be delayed. As a punter it’s hard enough without watching your horse do solo circuits of the track wasting energy. A simple rule that if a horse throws its rider off on the way to the start and bolts more than a furlong he must be withdrawn would stop this happening, there could even be an insurance pot that gave connections their expenses money back if they were ever to think of such things when asking a horse to still run!!!!
This needs stopping now because with the World Cup, Wimbledon and countless other Sports to bet on if Punters feel they are not getting a fair run they will take their cash elsewhere.
For our Thursday bet lets go to Hamilton tonight and Salvatore Fury in the last part owned by our colleague and friend Jimmy Welsh the Shrewd Tipster. Everything is in place for this horse tonight and Joe Fanning takes the ride. Trainer Keith Dalgleish would lose out to Ryan Moore in a laugh a minute contest but he has apparently promised a slight smirk if this one goes in tonight. Take the 100/30 with Betvictor, if he wins Jimmy has promised to buy everyone who is with him a free drink. He later announced he was watching the race alone in a phone box on his iPad which somewhat took the edge of this seemingly generous promise.
