Well five days on everyone seems to have recovered from the Knavesmire even the Artful Dodger himself Andy Bell although I did feel the Tartan Tipster was a little unfair comparing him to Shane Magowan. One is a prolific boozer whose face is ravaged by years of bad living and outrageous shocking behaviour, the other is a very talented singer with the Pogues.
Not that the Tartan Tipster aka the shrewd tipster and his Scottish cronies can get away Scott free (see what I did there) after somehow evading security they wandered into one of Yorks posher establishments clearly the worse for wear. The Tartan Tipsters claim that his ninth diet Iron Brew had been spiked met with derision and chaos ensued when the Middle class regulars complained about the language. The Tartan Tipster attempted to rally support by asking the table next to them if they had also been offended. Clearly intimidated the husband said no only to reply that he couldn’t have been as he hadn’t understood a word they had said. I fear York Council must and will take action before next year and have offered to help in any way I can. As Jack Nicholson would say “You need me on that wall.”
As for The Gambling Don or as I call him now The Man for all Seasons given the amount of outfits he appeared in last week. The overcoat was brought up and the full Summer Hawaiian shirt the type most people stopped wearing in the eighties. I think he must book two rooms one for him and one for his gear.
The flat gathers pace as we head towards the Leger but more about what BetFan have planned very soon but there’s plenty of action to punt on as with night meetings still going on there’s racing everywhere. For today’s bet we go to Ffos Las Britain’s newest racecourse. Ed Dunlop wouldn’t have many runners here but he sends up Taqneen for the 4.05 and he should be backed at 5/1 with Bet365 this morning. Like many of Eds horses he was a slow starter this season but is flying at home and registered an easy win last time. This one goes to post with real confidence behind it.
At Stable Line we have our bet of the season running on Saturday and it is likely to be a big price, join me and get the best gambles delivered to your door every day via email!
Back next Thursday.
