Its been a week of Bookmaker pulverising at Stable Line Gold and we sit on top of the BetFan Top Ten with 75 points of profit in our pockets. We are only four days into the month of course and there is plenty of scope to go serious pot hunting with a busy few days and then Doncaster next week.
I’m leaving Wilson the BetFan Towers caretaker a list of jobs to do next week in full knowledge that none will be done correctly if at all. It’s this commitment to poor quality work that really makes him standout!
The Leger Festival has grown into a proper four day feast of racing and here at BetFan we are all aiming to be at the top of our game. Like many of you I’m keen to follow the exploits of the so called Tartan Tipster Jimmy Welsh as he battles it out with Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt oh no sorry it’s BetFan’s Artful dodger himself Andy Bell they really do look so alike it’s no wonder people mistake them for one another. It must get very annoying for Parfitt when he is stopped just as they are about to go on stage by someone asking if he has any info for one in the claimer at Yarmouth.
I had the “pleasure” of interviewing the guys for BetFan TV at the Ebor meeting and can confirm there was genuine needle off camera. The Artful Dodger appears to have got under Jimmy’s skin with jibes about him being mean and a notorious tightwad. These hurtful remarks have upped the ante somewhat for next weeks challenge, I know this to be true as Jimmy told me whilst I was buying him a drink yesterday.
Stand by your emails because this could be the most exciting tipping challenge we have staged and you will have two of Britain’s very best tipsters in your corner over four days on the Town Moor. Remember it’s winner takes all on these events so there is everything to play for.
On to today and Salisbury stage a very strong midweek meeting with the highlight being the Dick Poole (stop sniggering) Fillies Stakes. Super field have turned up but they might all be playing for second place because the fave Marsh Hawk might be a bit special. From the Hannon yard she destroyed a decent field on her debut and I mean destroyed. This yard has so many good two year olds they really can spot when one is top drawer and they think this one is. 15/8 with Paddy Power should be snapped up this morning as I think she will be the subject of some hefty wagers.
So join me at Stable Line Gold as we have two more months of big flat racing action to go and I really don’t want you to miss out any longer!
Back next Thursday.
