Well for a long way it looked like Giles Cross may well land the spoils for us in the Welsh National last Saturday only to go out like a light. He is ok and will head to Haydock next.
I have to say its been a terrible weeks racing with a diet of all weather and small fields over the jumps. Thank god its Saturday and we have two good meetings at Kempton and Wetherby to get our teeth into. The headline race at Kempton the Lanzarote Hurdle looks the toughest tightest handicap I’ve seen in years so for our headline bet we will feature the 1.30 the Novice Hurdle. This race is over three miles and will take some getting but I’m very excited about one horse and it’s the Jonjo O’Neil trained Cloudy Copper who is making everyone at Jackdaws Castle very excited. He made his debut 2 months ago at Exeter when brushing aside a useful Paul Nicholls horse by five lengths but it was the manner he travelled which was breathtaking. I will be at Kempton today and cannot wait to go down and have a look at him beforehand as by all accounts he looks the part too. The opposition are decent but shouldn’t stop him and Coral are currently 5/2 which would appear very rude to turn down! So don’t!!!
My private service members are having a very rare ten point max bet at Kempton in another race, if you want to be part of this and each and every bet I do which has generated big big profits so far then join the Don for 2013, This is the real heart of the jumps season and there’s good money to be made.
Back next Saturday.
