It’s Racing Post Chase day always a good card to blow away the cold. The other great thing about attending this day is everyone is buzzing about the Festival and the pros always compare notes about ante post portfolios and whose heard which Trainer is worried etc. Obviously a lot of bluffing and laying of traps isn’t unheard of but TGD is above such foul play of course that’s why I get Penny to tell them.
It was Penny’s birthday yesterday so I’ve told her to consider today’s trip to Kempton as a belated birthday treat and people say you don’t put yourself out terrible isn’t it. The racing post journals are all in attendance today although most of them seem like they haven’t seen much daylight for the previous twelve months.
So what of the big race named in their honour well I’ve seen better renewals but it is extremely competitive and should be a real spectacle as they fly over Kemptons fences on what is the country’s quickest jumps circuit. The joint faves are Wyck Hill and Rolling Aces and whilst both have claims I’m not sure they have the right profile. The horse who certainly fits it for me is Same Difference off just ten stone two. He finished third to the highly regarded Unioniste last time and jumped well. That’s red hot form and they may not reel him in here of this feather weight. Back him each way with Bluesquare at 8/1.
If you are going racing wrap up warm and if you’re not wrap up warm anyway it’s cold out there!

Back next Saturday.
