Greyhound Master Tipster

November 15, 2013 By admin Leave a Comment

With my newsletter and free tip sent out promptly, where I had plumped for Bold Three at Nottingham in the Eclipse heats, sent out to both Betfan readers and subscribers.

I set about studying the Romford card trying to relax before heading off to Wimbledon to watch my puppy Blackstone Marco in the Puppy Derby Semi Final – in truth there were a lot of dogs I fancied to go well at the Essex track. I needed to find the right one for my subscribers. I duly went for Watch N’ Learn who looked made for the eight bend trip round the Essex track. Derek Knight’s dogs are always worth a second look when he ventures to Essex.

Interestingly all three of the races were involved in were within ten minutes of each other. The highs and lows of this wonderful game were oh so apparent during this time. Both my tips duly won in fine fashion but could I land the treble with Marco, sadly it was not to be.

The one dog proving to be more of hazard than I first thought! It was a long trip home from Wimbledon despite my betting account balances telling me a happier story! Still I’m sure we have plenty to look forward to in 2014 with Marco.

There was still a dark depression clouding over me on Saturday morning after last nights events and there was nothing to motivate me looking at the RPGTV cards that evening. So we left it alone hoping for our Peterborough Ante Post bets to uplift me. But alas our win bet finished second and our 33/1 ew bet finished fourth – needed third for place money! So went to bed still feeling rather gloomy hoping Sunday was going to be a better day.

I sprung out of bed Sunday morning, shot off to Winston Farm to see my dogs in a much better frame of mind. The sun was shining and the dogs were in fine fettle and duly wolfed down the sausage on offer. My partner Carpo turned up and we had a constructive chat with our trainer about the future plans of our hounds. After a nice hearty breakfast I returned home to my Sunday Henlow phone call from Angus the dog. He had lots of good words for dogs but I narrowed it down to two selections. One a nice pup (Blackrose Rebel) of Eric ‘I can do no wrong Cantellon’ landed the other selection (Conall) ran poorly so we had to settle for a small profit on the night!

Mondays are normally quiet days where I can catch up but I had arranged to get my office carpeted. Then an old sporting friend popped round for lunch and before I knew it it was late afternoon and no videos had been watched, no phone calls made. There were no opens at Romford or Notts but they were staging the bags championship. I saw three good things put them up in a trixie. But these graders are unreliable – two seconds and a winner – we were four points down. I had a run in with Fred Done and his Betfred who have restricted my account so much now it’s not worth bothering about! Another closed account! However as he was best priced on the Puppy Derby fancy I sent out a maximum bet for tomorrow to smash Betfred as a parting gift!

Up with the larks Tuesday straight on my iPad as the sharks are out early on a Sky night!

Decided upon two selections one stronger fancied than the other. Once my bets were placed I headed off to Wimbledon with my mate Andy. We met Carpo at the Cafe within the dog track grounds. We had just ordered when top Northern trainer Barrie Draper sat down with us. Had a lovely meal and in very good company, Barrie told us that he expected Farloe Warhawk to win which was a blow as I had tipped Lough Messi to my followers in that race. All the greyhound royalty were at the Don, eagerly awaiting the excellent Sky TV card.

The night got off to a flyer when my first selection Castlehill Aris bolted in. The connections were cheering him home with still a lap to go in the marathon. Now that’s confidence for you! My dinner guest wasn’t wrong as Warhawk did put his field to the sword. Doh!

I was all over Chicago in the Puppy Derby Final but puppies can’t get it wrong and for the first time he missed the break – race over last, a disaster for our maximum bet. But wait whose leading and took her chance Bubbly Beauty advised ante post at 10/1 after the first round.

Onto the St Leger Final our remaining ante post hopes were pinned to Fear Emoski who hadn’t been at her best in this comp but I just felt she would run well tonight. She gave it her all in truth finishing second but you really had to be there to witness Farloe Tango scything his way past the top stayers and running away from them by over seven lengths in a new track record time! An awesome performance.

We ended the momentous night after getting off the roller coaster 1/2 a point down and we live to fight another day!

Could have done with a lie in to be honest after yesterday but was up and away to kennels to get top physio Kevin Lewis to check over Head iton Tom as he was lame again after last weeks comeback trial. He needs three weeks off and treatment but it’s nothing major and he should be back winning again at Romford soon. Got Marco checked he was A1, though KL was amazed with his muscle development in the month since he’d last checked him. I unusually put a grader forward as a value tip but it ran poorly. Popped to Romford to watch trials before racing, as my new dog was trialling, he went well it was worth the petrol money.

Thursday saw an all graded card at Henlow swerved unless Angus the dog calls me with a hot one. Hove had some interesting opens with the other half of the card graded. No short ones for me, I put forward small investments on to bigger priced selections who I thought could outrun their odds. They were both shorter on my tissue. There was also a bags championship match at Sittingbourne with Romford in opposition that threw up potential betting opportunities. Some days there can just be too much going on! I was waiting with keen anticipation for the rest of the Hove card to be marked up as I had a strong fancy. My two bigger priced selections flattered but bombed but it was a profitable finish to the evening with my nap selection landing the lolly for subscribers advised at 7/4 early price and was duly returned at 4/5f. You must take advantage of these early prices. Ended nicely in front.

Friday’s as usual are my busiest day, newsletter to be sent out promptly along with a free tip.

We’re sticking with last weeks free tip selection over at Nottingham again this week. Bold Three is expected to come forward for last weeks run. He can trap better and if he does he can be first past the jam stick, and make the Eclipse Final.

Greyhound Master Tipster

Friday morning’s are always busy, sending the newsletter including the free tip, which I also post to subscribers early so everyone can get the price. I found the value in my free tip selection in Laughing Sam as 6/1 was way too big IMO. However he never trapped and it was one of my subscribers tips from the previous week Gripping Stuff that trapped and won well. Typical! My other tip who I was told was back to her best went lame – sometimes you just can’t legislate for that. So for the third week in a row I had a poor night at my local track. Normal service will be resumed very soon!!

All roads led to Wimbledon on Saturday as my puppy Blackstone Marco was running in the Puppy Derby 1st round heats and the 2nd round of the St Leger. My tips were sent out early to my clients. I felt I had to take on the peoples favourite Farloe Tango again so I did to my detriment – as Tango put them to the sword again with an awesome performance. Pleasing though it was to get ante post hopes Fear Emoski and Blonde Razor through to the semis, Tango looks to hold all the aces!! It was left to King Dec to rescue me and my clients when he held on to win at 7/2 to get us back in front on the night.

I never ever tip up my own dogs as it’s bad karma but I fancied my puppy Marco very strongly and backed him both in his heat and ante post outright. He did not let me down with an awesome trap to line win, which sent me on the long drive home happy with bulging pockets!!

I couldn’t wait to get to Winston Farm kennels to give Marco a big hug and some of his favourite sausage after his performance last night. But all my dogs were given the same treatment. Back home to check Henlow prices for tonight’s feature RPGTV Henlow Derby Final where I managed to get three ante post selections in it! Customary phone call from Angus the dog who was very sweet on Thinking Big in the main event and a couple of other runners on the card. The later races were disrupted somewhat with fireworks going off which led to some races being delayed as the dogs were returned to the kennels to be checked over by the vet. I’m sure some results of races were affected by the fireworks. Anyway my two selections to subscribers bombed Racy Thunder missed the break ran into trouble, which let last Fridays Romford tip Cash Game bang out and win. That’s the third dog won in its next outing after I tipped it! However the night was all about feature event and again fireworks delayed the start. The lids went back Thinking Big flew out just cleared Smart Bid who moved off exiting the second bend which allowed the favourite Shaneboy Spencer a run, he showed impressive back straight pace to join the leader off the last bend – they flew past the jam stick together. Spencer our 6/1 selection just shading Big our 33/1 selection by the minimum margin. This was still a satisfactory outcome for us, although I felt deeply for connections of the runner up to lose a big final in such fashion. We ended up in front for the night despite our earlier losers thanks to our ante post winners. But it could have been ooh so much better!!

Mondays are always catch up with the weekends videos day to see if I missed anything while I was racing or even watching the action on TV. It pays to watch the race over again, believe me you miss vital pieces of the jigsaw. I reviewed the Puppy Derby heats especially with a view to posting an ante post advice later today to subscribers. I have also posted a selection in the bags championship match taking place at Yarmouth tonight. My peterborough mole is very confident on Distant Escalade after his very good trial over c&d.

Off to my local bookmakers tonight to watch the action, all part of the job. My mole and I forgot trials are one thing – races are another! Escalade was distant!

Tuesday saw no open race action in the UK so no bets advised. Didn’t bother going to trials today, more video watching and looking ahead to Wednesday’s action at Peterborough with two open competitions. I have found a couple of very good value ante post bets lined up for subscribers tomorrow.

Wednesday was hectic as I took Mrs D to the afternoon session of the ATP tennis finals at the O2 before heading over to Romford to watch Tommy & Patch trial before racing and Holly racing. All this after I sent out my early morning advice for tonight’s RPGTV action. This was two ante post darts at the Fengate Collar, both darts hit the target by qualifying for Saturdays Final including the 33/1 shot. Even more pleasing was the fact my two dogs both trialled well and despite Holly only managing 3rd it was still a good day.

Hove greyhounds were my focus of attention on RPGTV on a Thursday where the main event is the Coral Olympic Final where my subscribers and I are all rooting for Paul Young’s Jaytee Lightning advised at 10/1. Though Guinness Spark is stiff opposition, I’m was very hopeful. I sent out one advice tonight Droopys Quincy in the Sprint, as to be honest nothing much else took my eye. Quincy missed it. Helenas Sailor didn’t, that was that. But I landed my subscribers our second ante post winner this week when Jaytee Lightning toughed it out in front to land us the lolly! Just a shame my single bets have been poor so far this month hence why were only slightly in front this month so far! Looking to remedy that soon.

Today’s free tip is over at Nottingham where the Eclipse starts tonight. I get really annoyed with the GBGB race planners – too many competitions are overlapping. I’m taking on last nights Olympic winner Jaytee Lightning with Paul Sallis dog Bold Three, who is fresh going into this competition and has good form over c&d.
