The Don has had another successful week for his growing band of members. This really is the time of year to kick on and build those Betting Banks and with the Derby and Royal Ascot coming our way The Don would welcome being your advisor so if you’re not in our little club then get in it today, it really is show time.
For the first Saturday in a long time the Don stayed at home in Newmarket yesterday with torrential rain everywhere and a few soakings taken this week I decided to watch the action from my racing room. In truth it was a poor days racing with the exception of watching Kingman prove he is a class act in the Irish 2000 Guineas. He clearly under performed in our Guineas and I doubt we will ever see him at Newmarket again. It’s next stop Royal Ascot for him and it’s an exciting prospect that somewhere down the line we may see him against older horses. John Gosden is nobodies fool and long term he will want to take this horse to the Breeders Cup where he won with the great Ravens Pass.
Today it’s the turn of the girls in the Irish 1000 Guineas and that’s where we head for the Dons Sunday Special which was second at a juicy price last week and would have won with a clear run. The Don is forced over the water as in Britain today in the middle of the Flat season there are three jumps meetings. Yes it’s not a joke well actually it is!! Insanity!
Aiden O’Brian is the governor out here and the shortest of his horses is Palace and she holds major claims but the one the Don is putting up is Marvellous ridden by Ryan Moore. Marvellous won her only start last year then ran poorly on her reappearance in March. I’ve been told to forget that run as the yard weren’t firing at the time. She has strengthened and is working very well now and this daughter of Galileo can give Ryan Moore another Classic. Back her each way with Betfred @ 10/1.
