We are only in Mid January and already we have an absolutely stunning week of Golf with two great Tournaments to get stuck into.
It’s the start of the old Middle East Swing and though there’s not a democratic election in sight it’s fair to say the Golf World doesn’t care because there is big money to be made!
No matter what the time of year if you pay it they will come and at this weeks HSBC Abhu Dhabi Championship it’s a veritable who’s who of Golfing stardom.
HSBC sponsor Phil Mickelson and the great man ventures over though rumours abound that he has a good break and may need the run as they say. Mickelson is rumoured to be receiving huge appearance money to play ensuring interest in America so even if he finishes last it will be difficult to prise the ever present grin off his face.
Newly engaged young Rory is here in what is the start of a an important year. He says he is happy with everything from his clubs to his management team so he has to start delivering now. I’m not sure he will figure this week because this place doesn’t really suit him.
One player who any course suits is Henrik Stenson who won’t be bothered by the tricky driving layout that has caught Rory and grinning Phil out in the past. Stenson hits it further and straighter than anyone and the ratings suggest the books have got it wrong making Rory fave and that it should be stenson.
Pay close attention to track specialist Martin Kaymer who has used the off season to practice hard and long and is making his team very excited about the new season after shooting some very low scores in practice. Kaymer has become the forgotten man of European Golf. That could be about to change starting this week in Abu Dhabi.
Golf Bet Profits is riding high in the monthly and the all time tables, this is a great week to start your own Golf betting adventure because we also have the Humana Challenge in California, where the ratings suggest a players price is all wrong?
Be part of a huge gamble, it’s going to be quite a week!
Back next Tuesday.
