With just over two weeks to go before we come to the close of February we should be considering coming to an end in choosing our chosen tipster, systems and angles. Once we have a list of all the angles and tipsters we have we can start to log all the bets ready for the next stage in the process which starts in the first week of March. If you have no idea what I’m on about then head over to this link and find out….. Starting A Profitable Betting Business.
Of course the beauty of WIN and its sister sites is that you can see all the results the day after racing. So should you choose to follow a tipster then you can record all their results and keep an eye on them in your portfolio. There are also many free systems that you can follow and see if they work for you. Betfan recently released their 4th birthday freebie giveaway and there are some good products that you could add to your analysis.
So as we draw to a close and you have a portfolio of at least 4 different approaches to your betting I wanted to talk this week about getting the correct odds and making the most out of your profits. Again we need to keep records of all of this and in order to keep accounts open for as long as possible we need record where and when we placed our bets.
When looking at a market we need to be looking for the best price with which to place our bets. You need to be looking for the bookmaker with the best odds. Spend time between now and the end of this month looking to open an account with every bookie on the planet. This is a good place to find accounts.
Even a small plus in odds can make a difference between a profitable portfolio and a losing one. Try opening as many accounts as you can and then you have the best chance of turning a profit. I use Betfair a lot as I can often get on at bigger prices. See the image below:
As you can see Big Baz is generally a 10/11 shot with most bookies but heading over to Betfair we can see the price below:
Even at 5% commission you would still be getting £1.97p back for every pound invested. As of course is typical Big Baz went and lost, oh dear but you see my point. Shop around for the best prices as you would if you where buying a new car!!
That’s it for this week, a bit of a short one but I’ll be making up for it next week with an epic post bringing the first part of the year together and easing us into the next stage of becoming a profitable bettor.
Have a cracking week, good luck and keep up the good work.
