Many new customers came on board last week and have been rewarded with a sensational week of big profits. We are over 72 points up on the month already following our Mega month of April.
I was up at Chester for a very tricky three days but we made a good profit unlike most who seemed to be there. It really is an amazing track, it’s not all perfect, some of the crowd are the craziest you will see on any course but The Don urges you to go at least once for the spectacle.
The Don was in a corporate box with some Americans who couldn’t believe that we race on such diverse courses. All their tracks are uniform and on ghastly dirt, lets celebrate our heritage and treasure these tracks.
On that subject the Don was horrified to see that Newcastle and other Northern Courses are obsessed by building all weather tracks, Why? Who is interested? More low grade dross that punters don’t trust, no thanks!
We then came to yesterday and all week I had been waiting for Ribbons for the Fanshawe team so when 2/1 was available we steamed in with a max bet. The horse was hammered all day and like everyone I watched in horror as Hayley Turner gave an absolute shocker allowing a proven performer a three lengths start. She was then very weak and couldn’t even keep the horse straight and struggled to bring her whip through. The Don has praised her in the past but this was dreadful and very costly. She needs to be aware that if she isn’t the strongest she cannot get this far back. Ribbons stays further and could have been sent on, it was heartbreaking.
Luckily our misery was soon to turn to joy as I was convinced Gabrials Lad was dangerously well handicapped and his shrewd Trainer Dennis Coakley had his small band of horses in rude health. We got on each way @ 25/1 in the morning and never had a minutes worry as he sauntered to victory.
This was yet another big priced win and it was also a significant milestone for The Don as it took the private service to over 1000 points profit! YES 1000 points profit!!! It’s BetFan’s most successful service ever and rewards their faith because I will be honest, I wasn’t cheap!!!
Through winning runs and the odd inevitable losing runs I’ve kept mixing info with form reading and giving my members the best value bets out there. You can make money at this game I’ve proved it for 25 years and I’ve proved it to you all here in the last 18 months.
Be part of the next 18 months and start betting with me not reading about it.
So to today and after endless flat meetings the Brains trust that run racing decides we want two rubbish Jumps meetings. Well we don’t so lets leave them and go to Leopardstown for the 3.55 a fascinating Derby trial. Aiden and the Coolmore mob have farmed this race and run Geoffrey Chaucer. He will have to be smart though and with many of the yard looking sluggish early this season we are taking him on with a horse I saw at Newmarket, Obliterator. There was a huge word for this one and he looked a real athlete in the paddock. He got beat by the now Derby second fave True Story but the rest were miles back. True Story might be Godolphins best three year old for many a year so I think we need to have a bit of Obliterator.
Lets back him at 9/2 with Ladbrokes and hope he can give True Story a massive Derby Boost.
3.55 Leopardstown – Obliterator – Win Bet 9/2 (Ladbrokes)
I’m off to York on Tuesday where I look forward to seeing many top pros and great characters. Simon Holden and Andy bell will be there as well but you can’t have everything in life. We look set for a great week so get involved now and here’s to the next 1000 points profit.
And always always always… Trust in the Don.
Back next Sunday.
