The three day Grand National Meeting is the finale to the national hunt season and you can’t deny that the meeting is full of history and tradition. The Fillies of Liverpool come out in all their glory and the top quality horse racing isn’t bad either. With a big enough break from the Cheltenham festival all the top trainers will have all their runners ready and raring to go to claim some valuable prizes over the course of the three days.
Day one of the festival offers up the Betfred Bowl to get the juices flowing for the rest of the meeting.
Day two apart from being the day for the Ladies and their hats we have the Topham Chase getting top billing.
Day Three is another great day of racing with the Grand National being the race of the day (what was that advert on C4 all about OMG!).
So as you would expect there are 3 days of high class racing for which I can’t wait to get my teeth stuck into.
As with all festival betting I diverse from my normal daily betting in the pursuit of maximum profit from the festival as a whole.
So for this I will be looking at around 20 or so ratings that have served me well before for this meeting and they will range from speed ratings, distance ratings , projected ratings along with consistency and a multitude of trainer and jockey ratings as well.
I will also be looking at other trends from previous years so as to get a good feel for the meeting as a whole and see how I can fair.
