I don’t think many Everton supporters will be singing all I want for Christmas is Liverpool being top of the league. However, their great local rivals will be number in the charts on Christmas Day. Crystal Palace caused the shock of the season by beating Manchester City in their own back yard which means Liverpool are four points clear and unbeaten after the first 18 matches of the season. LIVERPOOL are 11/10 with Coral to win the Premier League and be the champions of England for the first time since 1990. While the Reds are flying high Everton are becalmed in mid-table.
Tottenham visit Goodison Park today for the final Premier League fixture before Christmas. Everton have taken just one point from five fixtures against the top six elite. They haven’t beaten one of those clubs in 22 fixtures and that run could continue today. Tottenham have won all but two 12 away matches in the Premier League and League Cup this season. Like most clubs they have a busy workload but should play all the big guns today. TOTTENHAM are 13/10 with Betfair to pick up maximum points on Merseyside. It’s a double whammy for the Blues.
