Exciting times for Racing as we are on the cusp of Royal Ascot and exciting times for BetFan as this week I have been at Tower Bridge Studios recording 5 Ascot Preview Podcasts for Audioboom in Association with BetFan and Picks from the paddock.
The result is a podcast previewing the big race each day with myself and one of the best judges in the game Matt Mitter also known as the Value Rater (I won’t explain why he is called that !)
The big news in the tipping game is we can announce that Matthew is coming to join us at BetFan very soon and you can be in on it from the start.
This is a further reminder to you of our commitment to bring you the very best series and tipsters out there. Matthew can only strengthen our team here and it’s fantastic news. He specialises in big value win bets and the higher quality races by producing his own unique handicap ratings which consistently beat the book. That’s the punting power that will be at your disposal so look out and very soon we will offer you a very special deal.
This is one you will want to be in on from the start.
With the Royal Ascot Previews we take a sideways look at the whole meeting and offer you some big big priced selections so do yourself a favour and listen to the podcasts when we soon release them.
You’ll receive an email in the next day or two with full details on where you can listen in.
Like the Royal Family I look forward to Ascot though as yet my invite to be in the Carriage procession has not been received (Wonder if it went to the old hotmail address I never look at).
It is a veritable feast of racing over five brilliant days. For me it has to be the best Flat Racing week of the year because you have everything from the 2 year old future champs in the Coventry stakes to the returning Heroes in the 2 mile 4 Gold Cup the Blue Riband of the whole week. Team Godolphin, team Ballydoyle and all the biggest Operations target this Festival for its prestige and also because their Breeding Operations are significantly boosted by a winner at the Royal Meeting.
If you’re in the Simon Holden Racing Club then you are already getting used to giving the Bookmakers a slap and if you’re not then you need to rectify that because the Club will be placing at least 4 bets every day!
Yes that’s right a minimum of 20 big right Royal gambles across the week. I know what my members want and that’s to go for it at these big meetings when the markets are strong and the prices are juicy.
Today has a strange feel as everyone has half an eye on Tuesday but there are two very good cards at Sandown and York where it’s Charity day. The race I want to look at though is at Sandown and it’s the 3.20 the 5 Furlong Listed race the Scurry Stakes.
Sandown is a stiff five furlongs which requires bags of pace and a pinch of stamina. Ornate will have its fans with the combination of Ryan Moore and William Haggas and he is certainly a fast horse. Soapy Aitken makes his debut for the year for the red hot Clive Cox yard and is a danger to all. They all have it to do to beat the favourite Easton Angel who sets a top standard here after his hugely impressive comeback win at York. Trainer Michael Dodds feels there is more to come and he will be suited by this track trip and ground which makes him worthy of support at 9/4 with Paddy Power.
So enjoy today’s racing, make sure you check out the podcasts when they’re released and look out for the impending arrival of the Value Rater Service. At BetFan Towers we never settle for just being the best we look to get even better that’s why we offer only the top services so be ready.
Have a great Ascot!
Back next Saturday.
