The Gambling Don

October 4, 2015 By admin Leave a Comment

Bonjour from Paris.

Half of Newmarket seemed to be here yesterday with the other half on the way over this morning.

We banged in a 5 /1 winner on Friday and set the Arc Ball rolling with an 11/2 winner here yesterday to keep the Bandwagon going. We are already 23 up this month following on from last months jackpot and over 200 up in 2015. Still time to get involved and those of you who took up my recent offer are well up and very glad they did.

Now then what’s going to win the Arc which by the way looks a fantastic renewal and could be the best ever. We have Treve going for a third Arc which would guarantee her status as an all time great. She was awesome in her trial simply awesome and who can forget how easy her two wins in this race have been. We also have Gosden and Dettori bringing over the Derby hero Golden Horn and the Irish are in town with Free Eagle and Found both high quality Group 1 performers. Chuck in a few other French and German top quality horses and we have the ingredients for an incredible day!

For me and my friends in the Hotel Bar last night from what I can remember anyway all agreed forget Breeders Cups and Dubai World Cups this is the World’s best Race and it’s bloody difficult to win it but I’m fairly sure I’ve found you the winner of it and I’ve not mentioned the name yet.

Lets start with why I’m opposing Treve after lavishing praise on her, it’s quite simple, the ground. I remember her flop at Ascot and the way she moved to the start she simply hates fast ground and no matter what they are saying publicly her connections are very worried about it!

In Golden Horns case I’m afraid I don’t think he is good enough and definitely not from his draw which is out in the car park. Dettori will have to use a lot of the horses energy up to get a good position and he will pay for that later. I think Found will run well and Free Eagle will but for me there is only one winner “New Bay” who is a cracking win bet at 11/2 with Paddy Power. He has been meticulously prepared by Andre Fabre for this day and Fabre is the master at preparing Arc winners, he has done it many times. The old fox will be loving the fact Treve is getting all the attention out here and will have left nothing to chance. New Bay breezed through his trial here and I’m told has come on again since. He has the perfect profile for this race and I fully expect him to win.

Whatever you are doing at 2.55 stop and turn on the Arc, it is the Worlds greatest race and this year looks like a cracker, come on New Bay, Andre Fabre has many Arcs lets give him another one!!
