Today’s Sports Betting Preview – By Rick Elliott

Manchester City Are Just 16/1 To Win The Lot

Manchester United won the Treble in 1998-99, Arsenal did not lose a league match in 2003-04 and Liverpool once conceded just 16 goals in 42 matches in the 1970’s. However, those achievements could be surpassed this season because Manchester City could win the lot. No team in the history of English football have won four trophies in one season but the quadruple is now on for City. They are the favourites for each competition and 16/1 with Boylesports to sweep the board and record the greatest achievement ever over the many years of the national sport. Kevin de Bruyne is a massive favourite to be the Premier League Player of the Year.

McIlroy Needs A US Masters

Rory McIlroy is now just 7/1 with Betfair to win the US Masters in April. He finished in second place behind Haotong Li in the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday. The former world number one has not won a tournament since September 2016 but has recorded top fives in two tournaments after a three month break from the sport. McIlroy needs a US Masters to complete the career Grand Slam and join the elite group of five players who have won each of the four majors at least once. Tiger Woods is on that select list and the four-time winner is 25/1 with William Hill to win the Masters Tournament again.

Bristol De Mai 25/1 For The Grand National

Bristol De Mai is now in the ante post betting for the Grand National and can be backed at 25/1 with Coral to win the most famous steeplechase in the world. When the horse won the Betfair Chase by 57 lengths at Haydock in November the Cheltenham Gold Cup became a realistic target. However, after two disappointing runs Bristol De Mai is now a shorter price for the National than the Gold Cup. The plan is to bypass Cheltenham and run at Aintree because the horse could be more effective on a flat track. Defintely Red is now a live Gold Cup outsider at 16/1 with Ladbrokes after an impressive win in the race in which Bristol De Mai ran poorly.
