I was in the pub last night for our local quiz night and the conversation before the first question kicked off turned to the horses. This was a rare treat for me as the folk I attend our local boozer every Thursday with are not into racing at all. Someone had read somewhere that the jumps season was about to start and were curious as to whether that would mean me working harder or easing off?
Well in truth the hard work starts now. It’s a question of dusting down the form book and looking for our new jumping friends best chances over obstacles. It also means seeing if those old mobile numbers not having being used since last season still work and if certain people are still in the game. I also have to get the winter wardrobe out as the weather becomes colder at the track. It takes a lot of preparation every time a new season starts and we should all be re-focussing our minds now to a different mindset.
I’ve spent the last three weeks getting in touch with various jumps specialists and contacts that mainly deal with horses from now until next April. It’s quiet an exciting time and at this time of year it can be good to have a bit of inside information as the form will have most punters baffled as many horses will be back off a long lay off, the ground is constantly changing but my boys have an edge because they know how well the horses have been running at home. As always I know who walks the talk and those that just blast out information that is usually a load of b*llocks.
I’ll be getting my information through early each morning and in return for this information I then organise getting the money down for various connections. It is also really important to be able to read the market and make informed choices about when to place these bets depending on where various bits of money are coming from. The best time is between 10 and 11. If you’ve worked out that you’ve got an edge and the bookmaker is still unsure then this is usually the best time to swoop in and get the runners working. The price then soon collapses and you’ve smashed the market.
So why not join the one service that has made a profit every single month for the last 14 months now and as we hit the jumps season I’m very confident this will continue and we’ll be creaming some of the best bets to be had at this time of year. Man At The Races is going to have a good season so jump on board and be a part of a service that truly is on the inside.
I’ll be back next week,
