Monday 2nd. The run up to Christmas has begun and the most widely used phase this month is “this Horse is our Christmas money,” so beware as it only actually comes off a very few times.
I got my Policing Review of systems completed, which finally gave me a pass with 4 stars out of 5.
I personally was very pleased with 112 points profit over the 84 day review, but for some reason I didn’t get the maximum score.
But hey ho I got a 4 star pass, which is very good as they say most fail and 99% are tanked up and overrated, let lone get a star rating.
DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS. (below I have copied and pasted from their updated review, by James).
Subscription Cost: 90 Days Great Deal at £130 for the quarter.
WIN BETS 124: Payouts 46 = approx 37%
E/W bets 105: Payouts 41 = approx 39%
10pt(win/ew) 25: Payouts 11 = approx 44%
Average strike rate of 40%.
PROFITABILITY
Working from a bank, I feel the increase of the bank is more important than ROI however a 42% ROI in 3 months is excellent.
Betfan tipping services never recommend anything beyond points per selection. We can look at some results based on the following stakes per point.
£2 Stakes = £225.04 – Gross profit on the tips sent. After the cost of subscription (-£130) you would have netted +£95.04
£5 Stakes = £562.60 – Gross profit on the tips sent. After the cost of subscription (-£130) you would have netted +£432.60
————————————
In the welcome email for Andy Bell Racing it is advised to use a £2500 start bank with £10 stakes (=250 points)
£10 Stakes = +£1,125.20 – Gross profit on the tips sent. After the cost of subscription (-£130) you would have netted +£995.20
————————————
£20 Stakes = £2,250.40 – Gross profit on the tips sent. After the cost of subscription you would have netted +£2120.40
£30 Stakes = £3,375.20 – Gross profit on the tips sent. After the cost of subscription you would have netted +£3245.20
£10 stakes is not an unreasonable stake advised which is realistic and a nice profit of £995.20 is achieved after you have paid for the service. Returning a 42% ROI is also not to shabby and much better than 99% of the tanked up overrated products on the market at the moment.

Tuesday 3rd. I think this week is going to be relatively quiet on the joviality’s after racing front as I have no plans to actually attend, but I will be making up for it next week as we have Huntingdon on Thursday and then we leave from there and head to Cheltenham for the 2 day meet, so I shall be raring to go and a jolly up, hopefully on the greedy 1s money.
MOORLANDS JACK is going to be well punted today, although I don’t think it will go off fav it will be close. Smiley is going to ride this with his normal kid gloves and slowly ease him into the race and go for it between the last 2 all going well. Take the 3/1.
FRESHA is out of the Sir Mark stable and our local boy Louis Steward, from Gt Yarmouth is riding it, the vibes are very good and I suggest we take the 5/2 on offer.
Exciting news I have received this morning is that we should be having a large bet on Friday at Sandown. If the race holds up we may get a decent price as well.
Smiley exudes confidence as he cruises to the front on MOORLANDS JACK and is trading at 10s on in running only to fall 2 out, dam and blast may have been more appropriate, but luckily the vicar just finished drinking his tea, as it would of been spilled for sure.
FRESHA in all honesty never really looks like winning and we register a losing day in December.
Wednesday 4th. I was really excited when I was told we have a really big (possibly maximum) hunter chase bet next Friday at Downpatrick, then when I looked I realised it was FRIDAY 13TH. Mmmmmm??
Don’t worry we will still go for it because even Fri 13th can’t stop these boys as I’ve said before they are different gravy.
I have to catch the 10-07 into Liverpool street this morning as I have some horse racing related business in the city.
All the boys are very quiet this morning and nothing has come through, which for once is handy, as I am on the old rattler in a while, also I have got nothing on my tissues to shout about or anything coming up strong on the figures, best bet of the day is I get held up on the trains, so today you can all have a chill or a day out and wait and see what tomorrow brings.
Thursday 5th. Contradictive to what I said earlier in the week, I am on the verge of heading up to Leicester today to back and watch LEMONS GENT run, I will decide in the next hour or so.
I must also admit the lure of the cat fighting antics between the ex, Miss Sweden and the new, Hayley could also play a major part in my decision, as I have heard they are all frequenting Dom Paddy’s tonight, Oh and I don’t mean to stir things and antagonise an already volatile situation (hehehe), but Hayley said, Quote, “A Vivian Westwood frock on Miss Sweden more like Primark, lol, poor old Steve as long his tipping prowess matches his bed hopping antics, we don’t care.
I am well informed that Peter Chaple-hyams GROOVEJET is flying at home and this step up in trip is only going to enhance her chances of completing the double. At 11/4 I put this up as a bet and back it myself on BETDAQ at nearly 10/3.
I also put LEMONS GENT and SMART CATCH, also at Leicester up as an ew double, which is most unusual for me, but I think it’s an ew steal.
Discretion is the better part of valour as I might cop one of the free flying vinos as I know, some if not all the girlies in question read this column, so I cry off and decide to frequent the local and watch the racing there.
LEMONS GENT is swinging of the bridle and once again is trading at really short odds in running, when yes, he also falls 3 out when booked for a certain place and in my opinion looked the most likely winner.
SMART CATCH runs as if he needs about 6 miles and is shoved and pushed all the way, it must have been a relief for poor old Lee Edwards when he was finally unseated.
PCHs GROOVEJET finishes the day off in style as he wins very cosily and the information was spot on and thankfully we finish the day on a high.
Friday 6th. I sent out an e-mail last night urging all my members to hoover up the 11-10 on ROLLING ACES at Sandown today as I knew this was going to be well punted and go off at odds on.
Fridays are normally a real busy day at this time of year as I like to start looking at the Saturdays cards, because everybody loves a Saturday winner, but the trouble is ALL the trainers and owners do as well, so they get some decent coverage on TV and the trainers are then more in the public eye and have a better chance of attracting or enticing new owners to the yard. This makes, in my opinion Saturday the hardest day to get winners and if you take a minute to analyse the results maybe it will come apparent how difficult it really is for us humble tipsters as well.
The reason I start Saturdays cards on a Friday is because of the early starts and if I go racing I have to leave home around 10ish and there is nothing worse than leaving in a rush and half cocked, because if your head isn’t right in this game, mostly you are doomed to failure.
Just as we were today, doomed to failure ROLLING ACES was in fact very well punted into 8/13 on, unfortunately, I didn’t factor in that VINO GREGIO was going to put in his first near faultless round of jumping of the year and win like a good thing. The Moore father and son combination just wanted him to get in a clear round of jumping to boost his confidence and they never expected him to actually win. But hey that’s racing, once again (although to our detriment today) we are reminded that these 1 tonne beasts of beauty are not machines.
Well, anyway apart from all that bollocks we ended up having a losing day.
Saturday 7th. I am well informed that VESPER BELL is the more fancied of the Willie Mullins pair, which I think is a bold statement as his other is “ON HIS OWN” which is the clear fav, but after looking at the his form more closely, I can see where they are coming from as it has never completed the Aintree course and needs the going considerably more testing than it’s going to be, so at 14/1 I suggest we take this price and back VESPERS ew.
In the second the vibes coming out of the Alan King stable are very strong surrounding MYSTERY DRAMA who has obviously got the Irish raider to beat, but he ran very poorly and got beaten at long odds on last time.
Finally we have another John Quinn trained charge to back at Wetherby, ZAPLAMATION, we have been very fortunate to acquire such astute and accurate information so far this year from this top stable providing us with 2 from 2, so I have no hesitation in making this our biggest bet of the day ew and advise we snap up the 4/1 on offer.
Today, I have the unenviable tasks of placing some of my own bets, as I have a stewards inquiry with one of my putter on-ers, which pisses me off immensely, as we were all on to a good thing, maybe it’s my easy going nature or maybe some people just cant help themselves and are just greedy bastards.
After what I am sure will be a fashion, as in all the Ladbrokes shops I am known as a Shane Warne lookalike and not overly welcome, I hasten to add, unfortunately it’s not because I am shagging the gorgeous Liz Hurley, I shall need a beer or 3 and my column will probably be illegible, so until tomorrow, Caw.
Sunday 8th. It wasn’t as horrendous getting on yesterday as I thought, but I will say these multi million pound companies don’t like or are not allowed to take a bet with a liability of more than 1k without being checked, so if you keep your winnings under that magic figure it’s possible to keep under the radar, for how long I’m not sure.
Lets just hope the queues of “goat feeders” (roulette machines, we call them “the goats” because they just gobble up everything that’s put near them) keep the greedy ones opening at 7 and 8am, because us humble punters could never achieve them keeping such early and late hours.
Yesterday was a typical Saturday with Willie Mullans bolting up with his last time out odds on disappointment and making our MYSTERY DRAMA look decisively ordinary, Then VESPER BELL a very well backed 9/1 first fence faller, but thankfully our ZAPLAMATION did us proud, our biggest bet of the day, by winning nicely, hope we all got the 4/1 as it won at a well backed 3s and keeps the John Quinn information at an amazing 100% (top trainer is Mr Quinn and very shrewd in my opinion).
Thankfully, tomorrow I will be retracing yesterdays steps and picking up lots of the greedy 1s goat fodder to retender “some, yes only some” this week.
In all a very nice winning day yesterday, which ends what has been a rather unlucky week without the 2 fallers and 3 seconds we would of had another spanking week. With next Fridays max and the 27th looming we are just warming to the task this month, trust me I’m a doctor.
