Yesterday we saw some superb racing at Royal Ascot the highlight being the St James Palace Stakes where Derby flop Dawn Approach came back to form just pipping Toronado by a short head.
I actually thought Toronado was a shade unlucky as he was drawn widest of all and was checked by the winner at a vital stage. It would be great to see these two super horses renew rivalry in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood.
Good to report that Bankers Bonus and Fold4gold are ticking over at the moment without quite hitting the headlines. However I would like to tell you about a bet that was put up on Fold4gold last Saturday.
This was a win Lucky 15 which is a multiple bet including singles, doubles, trebles and an accumulator. Now we had 2 winners both advised at 5/1 which showed a decent profit on the bet. The other two selections were Fort Belvedere 10/1 who slipped up on the bend at York when going like a winner and a horse called Hamis Al Bin at Lingfield advised at 25/1 who missed the break but stayed on strongly into 4th.
We could with a little bit of lady luck have hit the jackpot which would have given us a 9000/1 four timer for a small outlay.
The moral of this story is I believe there is no other tipping service on the planet that offers life changing bets such as this one for a very small Monthly outlay. Remember Fold4gold was where clients made nearly 800 points profit on a placepot bet last year for a 4 point stake. Yes the strike rate on these type of bets is low but you only need one a year to make mega bucks.
Howies Hottie’s have been in spectacular form over the last six weeks with yet another winner last Wednesday with Now My Sun romping in at an advised price of 14/1. I just hope you have been making the most of them as winning runs don’t last forever and you have to go through losing runs too at some time.
Having said that I have every confidence in my abilities as one of the country’s best judges of winner finding and know there will be loads more winners during the year.
Today’s racing at Ascot features the Royal Hunt Cup which is harder to win than the Lottery and with rain forecast the puzzle becomes even more unclear.
So for today’s Hottie I’m going for the 8.10 at Kempton with Mr David. The Jamie Osborne trained gelding ran a good 2nd at Brighton recently on a course that did not play to his strengths. He was rated a few years ago as high as 104 and has dropped to a low of 81 which says he is well handicapped.
He is a hold up performer so might need a little luck in running and regular readers will have duly noted he was one of my eyecatchers last week and we all know how well they have been performing this year.
Another winner last week with Biographer
Isis Blue trainer R.Millman – Likes fast ground and given too much to do at Sandown last Saturday. With a more positive ride he will be hard to beat under his favoured conditions.
Barnet Fair trainer R.Guest – Finished strongly after meeting all sorts of trouble in running recently with a clear run next time he should go close.
Mississippi trainer D.Barron – An improving individual who finished strongly at Donny on Sunday. If being ridden closer to the pace or perhaps a step up in trip he would be expected to collect the gold medal.
Balty Boys trainer J.Osborne – Normally a front runner but he was restrained at Windsor on Monday. Still managed to run a respectable race but a return to more forceful tactics can reap dividends.
Blackthorn Stick trainer B.Duke – Irish trained gelding that went off far too quick but still managed to take 3rd place with a more restrained ride he could go well next time out.
Back next Wednesday have a good week and be lucky.
