Bankers Bonus Eyecatchers

March 19, 2014 By admin Leave a Comment

It seems the Premier League is really hotting up as we approach the business end of the season with anyone of four teams in contention. Personally I would not like to call it but the Chelsea v Arsenal clash this weekend will be very interesting.

After Mourinhos bust up and red card last week perhaps we should organise a boxing match between Chelsea’s motor mouth and the big hitting Alan Pardew from Newcastle for red nose day when it comes round.

Well I hope you all enjoyed the Cheltenham Festival regardless of your profit or loss situation with the highlight for me being the terrific finish to the Gold Cup even if my Giant Bolster only managed 3rd.

Also did you see the pic at Cheltenham of Simon Holden and Andy Bell suited and booted? I knew if they hung on to those old Italian suits sooner or later they would come back into fashion.

We have plenty of racing on offer today and Howies Hottie is going in the lucky last at Kempton tonight in the 9.10. The tip is Claude Monet now in the care of Simon Dow at Epsom.

The gelding has dropped stones in the ratings since his early days with Jeremy Noseda and now plies his trade in racings bottom grade.

Last time out he was disappointing but there were excuses as he had a bad draw and never got the run of the race. Today he is housed nearer the inside rail and with a decent break I can see him going very close in this weak affair.

EYECATCHERS

JUMPERS

Calipto trainer P.Nicholls – Ran well in the Triumph considering the saddle slipped and the steering was nearly impossible.

Count Salazar trainer E.Doyle – Irish horse that ran well in a hurdle last week after a break. He can win over hurdles or fences so keep your eyes peeled for him.

ARTIFICIAL SURFACES

Ice Tres trainer R.Millman – Maiden that keeps running well in defeat. The trainer said she hit the front too early last time and she can win soon.

Diamond Vine trainer R.Harris – Knocking on the door at the moment and can pick up a small race.

Reflect trainer D.Shaw – He has had 2 races after a long break and should be approaching peak fitness.

Back next Wednesday have a good week and be lucky.
