This week we have the first World Golf Championship event of the season The WGC Matchplay at Dove Mountain deep in the desert. Hunter Mahan defends his crown and will be a tough opponent.
It’s the top 64 in the World down to two left on Sunday afternoon.
This is golfs version of a wild west shootout over 18 holes and some players will come half way round the world and be going home on Wednesday night. This course is long but not that difficult and is chosen by the organisers for one thing that is birdies and lots of them. It’s a scorers course, if you go round here being cautious and trying to sneak
through hoping your opponent makes mistakes then invariably you will lose.
Woods and Mcilroy head the betting but like Poulter the matchplay king they are coming into this week without much competitive golf and that may catch them out.
At Golf Bet Profits we stick to a trusted strategy to plot our way through this week. We will be betting the outrights and playing some singles games along the way.
It may look a risky punting medium but if you know which clues to follow it can be an extremely profitable week in the desert.
Coverage starts tomorrow on Sky so join us and prepare for a feast of matchplay.
Back next Tuesday.
