Greyhound Master Tipster

Friday morning’s are always busy, sending the newsletter including the free tip, which I also post to subscribers early so everyone can get the price. I found the value in my free tip selection in Laughing Sam as 6/1 was way too big IMO. However he never trapped and it was one of my subscribers tips from the previous week Gripping Stuff that trapped and won well. Typical! My other tip who I was told was back to her best went lame – sometimes you just can’t legislate for that. So for the third week in a row I had a poor night at my local track. Normal service will be resumed very soon!!

All roads led to Wimbledon on Saturday as my puppy Blackstone Marco was running in the Puppy Derby 1st round heats and the 2nd round of the St Leger. My tips were sent out early to my clients. I felt I had to take on the peoples favourite Farloe Tango again so I did to my detriment – as Tango put them to the sword again with an awesome performance. Pleasing though it was to get ante post hopes Fear Emoski and Blonde Razor through to the semis, Tango looks to hold all the aces!! It was left to King Dec to rescue me and my clients when he held on to win at 7/2 to get us back in front on the night.

I never ever tip up my own dogs as it’s bad karma but I fancied my puppy Marco very strongly and backed him both in his heat and ante post outright. He did not let me down with an awesome trap to line win, which sent me on the long drive home happy with bulging pockets!!

I couldn’t wait to get to Winston Farm kennels to give Marco a big hug and some of his favourite sausage after his performance last night. But all my dogs were given the same treatment. Back home to check Henlow prices for tonight’s feature RPGTV Henlow Derby Final where I managed to get three ante post selections in it! Customary phone call from Angus the dog who was very sweet on Thinking Big in the main event and a couple of other runners on the card. The later races were disrupted somewhat with fireworks going off which led to some races being delayed as the dogs were returned to the kennels to be checked over by the vet. I’m sure some results of races were affected by the fireworks. Anyway my two selections to subscribers bombed Racy Thunder missed the break ran into trouble, which let last Fridays Romford tip Cash Game bang out and win. That’s the third dog won in its next outing after I tipped it! However the night was all about feature event and again fireworks delayed the start. The lids went back Thinking Big flew out just cleared Smart Bid who moved off exiting the second bend which allowed the favourite Shaneboy Spencer a run, he showed impressive back straight pace to join the leader off the last bend – they flew past the jam stick together. Spencer our 6/1 selection just shading Big our 33/1 selection by the minimum margin. This was still a satisfactory outcome for us, although I felt deeply for connections of the runner up to lose a big final in such fashion. We ended up in front for the night despite our earlier losers thanks to our ante post winners. But it could have been ooh so much better!!

Mondays are always catch up with the weekends videos day to see if I missed anything while I was racing or even watching the action on TV. It pays to watch the race over again, believe me you miss vital pieces of the jigsaw. I reviewed the Puppy Derby heats especially with a view to posting an ante post advice later today to subscribers. I have also posted a selection in the bags championship match taking place at Yarmouth tonight. My peterborough mole is very confident on Distant Escalade after his very good trial over c&d.

Off to my local bookmakers tonight to watch the action, all part of the job. My mole and I forgot trials are one thing – races are another! Escalade was distant!

Tuesday saw no open race action in the UK so no bets advised. Didn’t bother going to trials today, more video watching and looking ahead to Wednesday’s action at Peterborough with two open competitions. I have found a couple of very good value ante post bets lined up for subscribers tomorrow.

Wednesday was hectic as I took Mrs D to the afternoon session of the ATP tennis finals at the O2 before heading over to Romford to watch Tommy & Patch trial before racing and Holly racing. All this after I sent out my early morning advice for tonight’s RPGTV action. This was two ante post darts at the Fengate Collar, both darts hit the target by qualifying for Saturdays Final including the 33/1 shot. Even more pleasing was the fact my two dogs both trialled well and despite Holly only managing 3rd it was still a good day.

Hove greyhounds were my focus of attention on RPGTV on a Thursday where the main event is the Coral Olympic Final where my subscribers and I are all rooting for Paul Young’s Jaytee Lightning advised at 10/1. Though Guinness Spark is stiff opposition, I’m was very hopeful. I sent out one advice tonight Droopys Quincy in the Sprint, as to be honest nothing much else took my eye. Quincy missed it. Helenas Sailor didn’t, that was that. But I landed my subscribers our second ante post winner this week when Jaytee Lightning toughed it out in front to land us the lolly! Just a shame my single bets have been poor so far this month hence why were only slightly in front this month so far! Looking to remedy that soon.

Today’s free tip is over at Nottingham where the Eclipse starts tonight. I get really annoyed with the GBGB race planners – too many competitions are overlapping. I’m taking on last nights Olympic winner Jaytee Lightning with Paul Sallis dog Bold Three, who is fresh going into this competition and has good form over c&d.

Nottingham 8.52 Trap 3
Bold Three
Win bet @ 5/2 Coral & Betfred

Back next Friday.
