Last weekend started with a bang, when my subscribers took full advantage of Cluxton’s Free, the winner of Friday’s Monmore Puppy Derby, who was strongly advised by me at the morning odds of 7/1.
The Spring Festival Dogs winner later that afternoon Bold Three was advised ante post to my subscribers at 9/2.
We followed up with Sunday’s confident Coventry selection on Frankbrunosbro at 7/2.
Last night we had another winner when Gemstone Jack hosed up at Hove advised at 2/1.
Happy Days! Come and join me and we will find the greyhound winners together!
Speaking of Coventry I was really impressed with the quality of the live streaming pictures when I watched for the first time last Sunday. Also impressive was the percentages offered and the large bets taken by the track bookmakers.
I am really looking forward to Coventry starting on RPGTV on Sunday 31st March.
Tuesday saw the first of the new re-vamped Sky Greyhound Productions from Wimbledon. Budget cuts and several teething problems aside it was good to get Greyhound Racing back in the limelight.
Ballymac Eske produced a wonderful performance when destroying what was a very good Racing Post Juvenile field.
He is now as short as 7/1 for 2013 William Hill Derby glory!
I intend to start building up a portfolio of ante post selections for the Derby for my subscribers in the next few weeks.
Also impressive was Westmead Metor winner of the Springbok for Ricky Holloway after only a handful of hurdle appearances. Results went more for the bookmakers than the punters though during the coverage!
Next week sees Sky return to our screens again next Wednesday with the Trainers Championship from Yarmouth. The top six trainers from last year all do battle in a series of races sprints, standard, stayers and puppy races. It should be a good night’s racing. It’s another opportunity to take advantage of all the bookmakers pricing up the races first thing, as usual there may be differences of opinion, that leads to excellent value for us the punter.
Very disappointed with last weeks free tip Farloe Bowser’s run, he was reported off colour the next day, so that explains his poor effort.
Hence why I am reluctant to tip any of my own dogs. I did have success at Romford as an owner last Friday when my dog Head iton Tom won. He is running very well at present and is out again tonight at Romford.
However he is not my free daily tip as for reasons above, so the weight of free tip expectation falls on Ding Hero.
Kevin Hutton’s dog has the best early pace of the railers and should put that to good effect tonight. I felt that the going suited the middle to wides on Monday night in the heats of this Tv Trophy competition, hopefully we will have a level playing field tonight at the Coral Romford Stadium. Hoping for a ping from Ding to land the money!
