Greyhound Master

July 18, 2014 By admin Leave a Comment

I took a look at Fridays Romford card first thing along with a look at the flying four prices and selected the FFT. Had a punt on Bodell Bernina myself then sent it out to my subscribers. Then emailed my newsletter of to Betfan towers for all the free tip junkies.

There was another dog firmly on my radar in a race that hadn’t been priced up, the SP in the bible (racing post) was generous and if my friends at B365, who may not sponsor any greyhound competitions, but they are always first up with there prices go a similar price – I will be all over it like a rash! I popped out but made sure I was back in time for B365 prices. Wow 11/4 did they not see Urban Road destroy his field at Henlow on Sunday in a very fast time! I helped myself before sending it out to my subscribers. Had I not already put out Bernina this would have been a rare maximum 10 pointer. I had arranged to meet Cheesey as he owed me dinner for the winners I put his way. Unfortunately due to time constraints I had to make do with a Toby Carvery near Romford dog track. Cheesey got off lightly!

Urban Road opened up 7/4 and went off a well backed 11/8f – the result was never in doubt after a bullet break winning by over seven lengths. Bodell Bernina couldn’t quite land us the double – she was moderately away and couldn’t shake off Pharisee Flyer which allowed Rio Torino to establish a healthy lead but Bernina went down by a length in the end running on very well. There were two or three dogs that made my notebook for the future. Another winning night for the GMT.

Saturday saw only one open race throughout the UK that was at Crayford not a venue I regularly punt. So an early decision was made to send out a no bets advised today. This was something I later regretted as I received a reliable piece of info about one in that solitary open race that duly won. I passed my day with having a small flutter on the horses, while looking after my six month old grand daughter and of course reading Belly’s diary. I see I got a passing mention from him for mimicking his racing diary. I own up to it – it’s a great way of recording your bets/thoughts of the week. Makes for a better read – pass it on to Don.

My usual Sunday with a kennel visit followed by nice cooked breakfast while perusing the Racing Post. Discussed Sundays card with Angus my Henlow mole. Decided to wait until all the card was priced up before sending out advice. Popped out to Garden Centre with Mrs D stopped off on way home for a light refreshment. Checked prices – nothing appealed on supporting card. Maximum Advice sent out we however missed the 6/4 but 11/8 was still good on Kevin Hutton’s bitch Forest Sara who really impressed in the heats last week.

She proved her class after a tardy start with a powerful all round display to land us the lolly. The Henlow bookies not known for their generosity sent her off the 5/4f due to getting several shorties beat earlier in the meeting. Job done – this month is picking up.

Monday should be catch up day but had my grand daughter round in the morning but was able to study tonight’s Romford card and send out a selection to subscribers in the afternoon. Then set about studying Nottingham’s Sky card for tomorrow. Nipped out to bookmakers to watch the three heats of the Rosebowl. Our good run of form continued with Hometown Day landing the last heat advised at 3/1 to my clients. I did fancy both the other winners at short prices in fact I did tip one of them up on my other service. So it was a very good night all round.

Tuesday up early busy all morning sorting out selections for subscribers from the Sky Sports Nottingham card. Selections duly sent out, time to do a bit of gardening before the real action starts at night. My main selections centred around one race the select stayers. I unusually selected two dogs in one race the Select Stayers. I was all over the huge 16/1 that was available with b365 at 1/3 odds each way on Worsboro Phantom I thought he was over priced and would run a huge race. However a favourite dog of mine Romantic Rambo was running and looked the banker win bet at 9/4. We all got the best result with Rambo winning and Phantom collecting the each way money for 2nd. I love it when a plan comes together! I did put up a small trixie as well but only got one winner. But another profitable night cementing my place in the Betfan top 10 and all time top five.

Wednesdays are nearly always no bet days as unless it’s a Sky night as it’s graded fare on RPGTV which doesn’t interest me at all as a punting perspective. So I made use of my day catching up with a few contacts and studying tomorrow’s Sussex Cup card at Hove. I also moved my dog Head iton Tom to his re-homing kennels in the hope he finds his forever home.

Thursday I sent out an early email stating no Sussex Cup Ante Post bets nor anything from the very competitive heats. I was more interested in the supporting races from a punting perspective so we had to wait until they were priced up. I then set off for Manchester for a Funeral tomorrow. I sent out two selections from my very hot hotel room. I never saw the racing as I was out to dinner but came back to my room to find Cheers Tony & Hollyoak Laelaps both finished second.

I backed David Pruhs Frisby Forjohn last week he showed great early pace but he blew up close home. That was his first run for a month he can come forward enough to land this race tonight.
