The Flat season is really up and running so in this weeks column I’m going to give you some Trainers to keep a very close eye on.
David O’Meara would probably admit he was not a top class rider he is however one of the real finds of recent years in the Training ranks. O’Meara has that uncanny knack of improving horses he buys from other yards. I expect this season to be a huge one for the yard.
Michael Appleby won last years November Handicap which announced him on the big stage and he has enjoyed a good Winter on the All Weather. Pay close attention when his runners are gambled on this guy doesn’t need a watch he seriously knows the time of day.
Daniel Kubler has the dubious privilege of training horses for me but joking aside this is a guy going to the top in a hurry. Training at historic Whitsbury in Hampshire Kubler who worked for Roger Charlton before starting his own yard is very clever at putting his horses in the correct races. Charlton clearly has taught him wisely. This yard has some real talent to go to war with this season believe me.
Marco Botti has already trained big winners but I believe this season he will be a genuinely top Trainer. Year on year the quality of his string has improved and this year I think the polite unassuming Italian will start to be a regular winner of group races.
Close attention to these four yards will provide you with plenty of winners this season.
Stableline Gold brings you the inside track on horses who will be gambled on to win. My members are up and running in April with more profit so join us and you will be following the smart money.
Next week we will look at four jockeys who I expect to have very good seasons and will be worth keeping an eye on.
Back next Thursday.
