We started March with a bang at The Gambling Don private service as we landed two winners from two selections at Doncaster yesterday.
I’m glad February is over constant heavy ground is virtually impossible to win on and as soon as I got some good spring ground we hit the jackpot.
The Festival is nearly upon us and for people wanting advice from a pro who will be there then I urge you to join and test the service out for a month.
My members are already on some big priced ante posts and we intend to really land some big pots at Jump Racings version of the World Championships.
After such a wet and miserable season the whole of jumps racing is determined to make it the best ever. Why not let TGD guide you through the greatest meeting of them all.
On to less exciting matters and Davy Probert has been handed a 28 day ban for easing up and getting caught on the line. Let me add I didn’t have a bet in the race but in my view he and anyone else doing this should be out for six months. It may sound harsh but only then will this be stamped out. There are lots of other sports to bet on now and how many punters are driven away from racing after watching a jockey throw a race away in that manner. He has 28 days to consider how it looked but I wonder how many Trainers will give him a wide berth now. The handicapper still puts them up if they slow down and win “cleverly” so why take the risk.
Enough jockey bashing lets have the TGD Saturday special which is due a good run after last weeks selection in the Racing post chase jumped like it was blindfolded.
We go to Doncaster and the 2.55 Grimthorpe Chase. It will be run on fast ground and that will in my view bring around a massive improvement in the Keith Revely trained Corkage.
He has hated the ground all season but that has meant he has dropped down the weights and back at his beloved Donny he can cause a shock here.
Revely’s horses are flying and there is a quiet confidence behind this horse. James the Trainer’s son takes the ride and can come through late on and nab the prize. Take the 16/1 with Stan James and back him each way.
Next week’s Saturday special will be a Cheltenham Max bet so don’t miss that, until then have a great day’s racing.
Back next Saturday.
