I write this having just reviewed todays racing on the new All-Weather surface TAPETA at Wolverhampton and it looked fair. It was riding quite soft with little kick-back and will get quicker as it beds in. Over the winter I was impressed with quality of racing at Lingfield and Kempton, the new all-weather championship definitely helped, due to the kick-back I like low drawn front runners at those tracks, and also at Southwell where the kick-back is worst, seldom bet there as the quality is so poor but it’s a specialist track so there is an angle. With this new surface I am sure clear trends will develop and provide rich pickings for the clued up punter. It feels like autumn has already arrived and I’m now really looking forward to Friday nights at Wolverhampton.
