Friday morning I felt a bit rough on waking up, but had no time to feel sorry for myself as I had lots to do. Newsletter & free tip Boom Boom Dani 2/1 sorted & sent off. I’m on RPGTV as the guest presenter so spent the rest of the day sorting out my selections, in between answering lots of phone calls from friends and family wishing me well. Just before I left I put up my nap and next best from Romford, both eye catchers from last week, Melodys Gamble 2/1 and Hedsor Lola 9/4. The Romford card was the trickiest for a while and graded at Sunderland can be hard anytime and all my bets were kept to a minimum.

Later I made my way to Canary Wharf and the Racing Post HQ, a tad bigger than Betfan Towers, well a lot bigger actually. There were people rushing around everywhere, so I had bite to eat and checked the prices using the free wifi. It was my fourth time on the show and I loved every minute of it. Remarkably I managed to tip up more winners at Sunderland than Romford. My nap next best and free tip all went down. All three selections trapped out with lead boots on and you can’t do that at Romford. So a lovely evening appearing on live TV was dampened somewhat by the results of my more fancied runners.

I wish that Saturday nights were used more for decent open racing but the tracks get the crowds & diners coming out anyway and they have no need to put anything else on than the graded fare. Saturdays are boring as a result but I did venture over to Newcastle for a subscriber bet. There is an A1 track championship competition on at present, it’s reached the semi final stage. Jimmy Wright’s Magical Reid took my eye when beating my own Wotnofizz and these Newcastle A1 runners are all open class. So I sent out a small interest bet on Magical Reid. I just about kept my eyes open long enough to see him trap out – game over I thought but Valentia Frosty was having none of it and took it up of the second bend, after checking at the third bend, Reid try as he might couldn’t quite reel Frosty in going down by 1/2 length.

Sunday I paid another visit to my retired champ Head iton Tom with my friend Andy. Did the usual walk and sausages followed by cuddles. Still hoping he’s homed soon. Angus my Henlow expert seemed keener on the graded card than I did. But as there was a lot of shorties at Sittingbourne added to the fact I saw nothing much I like at tomorrow’s Notingham card, forced my hand into putting up a selection. I had been impressed by Pam Dolby’s pup Perry’s Bid and he looked a solid enough investment at 7/4 to send out to my subscribers. I thought both my own two dogs Fizz & Patch at Sittingbourne had winnable races but both would be short prices. Bet 365 had them evens & 4/6. I had intended to go and watch them but I had family round for Sunday dinner so the bookies was my only option. They both cracked out and led all the way. Got back home to watch Perry’s in the lucky last but he fluffed his lines and was never a factor in the race.

Monday was quiet just a catch up day really. Caught up on my recordings of races. Nottingham threw up nothing of note even after Bet 365 had priced up. So it was a no bets email that was sent.

Tuesday I was going over to Romford for the Sky covered meeting where the Coronation Cup Final is the feature. My subscribers are holding Adageo Bob 5/2 ante post vouchers, he’s the best dog in the Final and just needs a modicum of luck. I thought the card this evening was extremely competitive. As a result I only put up one bet to subscribers on Millwards Katy 4/1. She can take advantage of the fact Aaymzaone may have traffic problems getting past the other two wide runners. Arrived at Romford full of optimism but after the first three races saw no favourites obliging, I just thought it was going to be one of these Romford nights! Katy trapped okay but was out speeded to the corner by Kokocha Blue who took a flier. One moved off and hampered Katy who could only manage third behind the all the way winner. Soon it was final time and could Bob save the night, well when he turned second to the early leader Soviet Kenny round the first two bends, many including myself thought he was a good thing to go past and win, but Kenny wasn’t stopping, try as he might Bob couldn’t find a way past until after the winning line. The bookies were the only ones leaving the London Road circuit with smiles on their faces and satchels heavy with cash.

Wednesday saw no opens throughout the UK just the usual graded fare on RPGTV at Romford and Peterborough. No bets advised today.

Thursday there were opens at Hove and Towcester with a graded card at Henlow. Looked at all the cards, thought I would play safe and try to finish the week on the winning note. There were a few runners I considered Steve’s Dream entered my notebook with his run last week, but I decided like many others that Borna Cheyne 11/8 was the best drawn dog of the night and sent out a max bet to subscribers. Steve’s Dream bolted out and he cut off Borna Cheyne when he challenged at the third bend, thud ending his challenge and Dream then held the late rally of Thatchers Champ by a head. That compounded a miserable week and month so far all of us, but it’s all about securing long term profit for my subscribers. My records show just that ability.

Let’s see if I can start a new week with a free tip winner for my newsletter readers. As usual after a bumper midweek Sky Romford open card, the Friday card always suffers. I thought Maxine Locke’s Swift Murt has come back really well from some injury problems, making it three wins in four last week clocking a fast 35.31. We will stick with him to make it four from five tonight with another decent break.

Had to be up and organised early on Friday (Boxing Day) as I wanted to get the newsletter and accompanying free tip sent out before I set off to travel to Henlow to watch Marco 5/4f.

I selected John Mullin’s Burgess Borna 10/3 as the free tip, backed her then emailed her to my clients and then emailed the newsletter to Betfan Towers. I then drove to Henlow I wanted to get there early as it’s always a bumper crowd on Boxing Day with people wanting to get some fresh air after the excesses of Christmas Day.

My co-owners had made other plans so I was the sole representative for Marco, my mate Clarky who runs the restaurant at the track, looked after me by letting me join his family table. They helped keep my mind off the final as it was a rather long wait to the Final!

I helped them find a winner or two before I checked my phone to find out that Burgess Borna had hosed up over at Crayford, she was returned the 9/4f. A great start to the day.

Next up was Mark Walkis’s Illewin Allot won the Dual Distance Final who I advised at a whopping 6/1 to my Bet Kudos members.

Then it was time for Marco to make or break my Christmas in the Cesarewitch Final, my heart was beating fast as the hare approached the traps, the lids went back and my pride & joy bolted out to lead round the first bend. He kept up the gallop all the way to the line to win by a shade under four lengths returned the 4/5f. It was a day that will live long in my memory, my dog winning a Category 2 and my earlier winners landing some nice bets/profit for my subscribers.

Saturday saw no open racing in the UK so I very quickly decided to send out a no bets email.

I had a small play on the horses using the free tips that Betfan & Bet Kudos send out which resulted in an 11/2 winner at Kempton, then a each way 1,2 in the Welsh Grand National. You must join up to these sites and there other site WIN for the best free tips and information around.

Sunday very frosty morning as I took Ruby for a walk before returning home for my Henlow card discussion with Angus. I sent out my selections early as one of them Benkaat Nero 6/1 was racing in the Olympic Final on Hove’s bags lunchtime card. The other selection was Coolavany Gooch 7/2 who I thought would win the Christmas Cracker Final at Henlow. I did advise a small stake cover bet on Mays King 3/1 who was a serious danger. I became lazy so I never made the betting shop to watch Nero just listened to the commentary. He seemed unlucky as he led but he got in trouble with Droopys Norris by moving off at the second bend. This allowed Thatchers Champ to nail El Pedro on the line. Thankfully a smash break by Coolavany Gooch 2/1 ensured my subscribers had yet another profitable evening, Mays King 7/4f was in a trouble at the second bend but flew home finish two lengths behind.

Mrs D and I were at Sittingbourne with the my co-owners the cardinal, cheesey & their respective partners. We watched our dog Wotnofizz record his fourth win from five starts at the Kent track. He loves it there. Goes Hot couldn’t quite make it a double when finishing a good second to Express Max in the sprint.

It was a lovely sociable evening, with lots of good banter flying around.

Monday saw no open racing just graded offerings. No bets email was promptly sent out.

So after a few chores, it was racing & darts on the TV. Later I took a peek at the Sheffield open race card tomorrow evening.

Tuesday morning after having a longer look at the Sheffield card I decided that there was no point of having a bet for the sake of it! I’m not keen on Sheffield, the form is never upheld and you get some funny results. No bets email sent out. More than happy with my lot this month.

Wednesday graded bags only racing today (Hogmanay) and Thursday New Year’s Day that saw nothing I deemed worthy of a selection, so its been a very quiet & boring week so far with no open race greyhounds and no RPGTV.

Friday at last some decent racing to get our teeth stuck into with a very good card featuring the Coronation Cup the first big competition of 2015. The flying four is a flying six this morning with all the heats priced up. The usual suspects are a very short price Bob, Razor and Captain. So I needed to look at the one of other three heats for our free tip.

I’m a fan of Derek Knight’s Fivestar Clipper who has fallen in love with the London Road circuit and he can put these to the sword with a fast break. He is prone to occasionally missing it but he’s worth chancing at the 5/2 with Corals.

Happy New Year to all my newsletter readers.

Back to my normal Friday service, no ante post selection this week despite the laurels starting at Belle Vue. The top class racing at Belle Vue overshadowed an average card at Romford. So we went to Belle Vue for both the FFT and my private members selection. Eric Court looked to have a solid chance in his laurels heat after a sparkling trial he was the FFT selection. Later in the Oaks Quarter Final I was keen on Kevin Hutton’s Forest Sara to get the better of Evanta Evita. I do believe Evita is being brought to a peak perfectly for the Final after seasonal intervention by Mark Wallis. I was out with friends for dinner so I watched the recordings when I got home. Eric Court unusually fluffed his lines at the start which you can’t do at the top level only managing to qualify in third. Forest Sara turned handy but showed no middle pace and went out of the competition behind Jaytee India who nailed Evita on the line. Cashen Maureen was the most impressive winner of the night giving Mark Wallis a strong hand in the Oaks.

Saturday saw bits and pieces of open action at Wimbledon & Crayford but nothing at the prices tempted me into having a bet! Not even the ‘Night of Stars’ tempted me to have a bet! Instead I watched the boxing at a mates and even managed to win a few quid from the enemy.

Sunday popped up to the RGT kennels to see Tommy who was in fine fettle. Picked up a Racing Post to read an excellent article from RPGTV’s Julie Collier on her Australian greyhound trip. We could learn a few things from the Aussies! After looking at the cards/prices I decided there was again nothing at the prices that tempted me to put up a selection or back anything. I was heading to Sittingbourne to watch two of my dogs who both had decent chances IMO. Goes Hot in the sprint 4/1 was big IMO with B365 and Wotnofizz 9/4 in the 480 maiden final. After a very nice dinner in the Sittingbourne Restaurant (recommended) Mrs D & I ventured out onto the terraces to watch Patch run a blinder just falling to catch the trap five runner who came out underneath the boxes. He must have been four clear round the first bend Patch after a moderate break by his standards cleared the pack at the first bend to shut the winner down to 3/4 length. I was hoping to go one better in the maiden final with Fizz, he didn’t disappoint he broke ok for him and turned handy behind the two leaders, he took off down the back straight, taking up the lead at the third bend pulling away to win comfortably in a decent time. His win was meant to make the journey home shorter but unbelievable roadworks on the A2 put paid to that. Still it turned out to be a very good night.

Monday a new month the last of the year, I intend to finish with a flourish, it’s the usual catch up day, looked at Nottingham card after the prices came out for a selection to kick start the month. After some thought I decided to send out a no bets day and concentrate on Romford’s sky card tomorrow to kick start December.

Tuesday up with the larks got a Racing Post from the newsagent and got to work. I sent out three selections to subscribers before 10am. The two bitches races on my radar with Mark Wallis having a strong hand with Domino Storm 5/2 and Aayamzone 6/4 being the selections. Though I did have my own bitch Wotnobubbles in the second bitches race, she is stepping up in class but the 12/1 on offer was too big IMO for a bitch who could lead them round the first bend. But as you all know I never tip my own.

My third and final selection was Maxine Locke’s Drumna Finch 7/1 who she had skilfully brought back from injury. He won well Friday and was overpriced IMO. He rated a solid each way bet at the prices especially with Bet 365 my favourite bookmakers going 1/3 odds.

I went over to watch all the action with my mate Andy. All the faces were in attendance, as per usual for a Sky night. Mark Wallis was in good form nailing two winners off the Sky TV card but his Domino Storm lost us all chance of winning by stumbling at lid rise. Aayamzaone however restored the balance by hosing up in the other bitches race. Even better was that Wotnobubbles secured my each way bet hanging onto second place after leading round the first bend as I thought. Drumna Finch looked lame to me and he showed no va va voom after a decent break in the marathon. This left us all with a small deficit on the night.

The Essex Vase Final was marred by two separate fatal injuries to two of the runners, Tuna Crunch was knocked over at the third bend and Ballymac Aalto was badly bumped at the fifth bend. This left Adoremus to pick up Any Dack to land the prize for local trainer Maxine Locke. The track as is the norm on sky nights was conducive to fast times. Adageo Bob showed what might have been by equalling the track record in a supporting race. Not sure there’s any need for a fast track – a slow track is a safe track!

Wednesday watched the recording of the Sky programme before taking a look at tonight’s cards. There was nothing on the graded cards on RPGTV to tempt me nor on the bags track championship meeting at Hove, no bets advised.

The first advance card came out for the Towcester the newest track and the first to be built for 19 years. The racecourse executive decided to build the 1.8m track after they realised that the racing fixtures alone couldn’t sustain the venue. Increased prize money and the forward thinking of the track management has seen three of the top six trainers in the country, including champion trainer Mark Wallis leave there positions at other tracks to join Towcester. The first meeting is on Saturday evening and the following Saturday the Sky cameras are in attendance for a top class card as is the GMT.

Now if you want a great night out at the dogs to check out this new venue and if you would like the GMT to mark your card, drop me an email at greyhoundmastertipster@hotmail.com.

Thursday I pulled the curtains open and saw a very grey depressing morning, undeterred I set about the Hove card and quickly saw that I wasn’t the inky one who thought Droopys Odell was worth a bet the 15/8 was gone and the 7/4 was being hoovered up quickly. Got what I could on with Coral 888 sport & Ladbrokes and sent out the email as quickly as I could for subscribers to do the same. Odell was desperately unlucky last week and I think he can make amends this week. Settled down to watch the evenings action and just couldn’t believe that I watched an action replay of last weeks race where this week Odell tangled with Blonde Razor at the first bend, my new nemesis Jet Stream Smurf took full advantage to race into the lead and try as he might Odell couldn’t find a way past being beaten a length – priceless!

Friday I have a strong word for one over at Romford that’s expected to win, to pay for ours and the kennels Christmas but that’s for my subscribers only.

For today’s free tip we go over to Belle Vue where we have reached the semi final stage of both the Laurels and Oaks. Mark Wallis has a stranglehold on the oaks with Evanta Evita odds on to win the first semi and Cashen Maureen odds on to win the second.

No value there so I have gone for Jim Hayton’s Monmore Gold Cup winner Viking Jack who was impressive winning his heat in the fastest time last week beating last weeks FFT Eric Court who fell out. His draw out wide is in his favour as I expect there could be some trouble inside him. He’s worth a bet at the odds to repeat the dose this week!

Usual Friday newsletter sent out with free tip enclosed. Plumped for the well drawn Fivestar Clipper to get a trouble free run whereas his heat conqueror Adageo Bob had a difficult draw. Once the ‘greedy ones’ got round to pricing up I sent out another selection to subscribers Kevin Boon’s Farneys Cookie who ran well on Monday behind the two aforementioned greyhounds. This was a much easier opportunity tonight. Met the Cardinal for our pre-meeting dinner at Miller & Carter before arriving trackside looking forward to watching our own two runners Laura & Marco. Laura started the evening off with a bang, bolting from the traps and not seeing another rival in her maiden. We had a bit on at the 6/1 that was freely available in the afternoon. Cookie ran no race at all after early crowding, the same could be said of Clipper, with well drawn Airport Captain looking back to his best just holding Adageo Bob, though I have a feeling Bob will get his revenge in the Essex Vase.

Marco also disappointed after early crowding, but my spirits were still on high after Laura’s earlier win.

Saturday saw only a few opens at Crayford & Shawfield which were quickly bypassed with a no bets email. So I spent the day with my grand daughter Poppy instead, she’s just the best!

Sunday I zipped up to see Tommy who is still looking for his forever home! He’s in really good form. Watched my son’s football match before agreeing with Angus the dog that Coolmore Joe 2/1 looked a solid bet at Henlow. Backed and sent out before meeting my friends Alan & Jill for Sunday lunch. My busy Sunday continued as I shot over to Henlow to watch the action. Like Friday I had two dogs running Patch in the sprint was disappointing and Fizz who we had high hopes for in the Maiden Derby, went out when he was badly crowded at the first bend, pacing up well after a slow break. He’s a fast dog but looks like he needs a longer run to the bend. Coolmore Joe couldn’t lift the mood as he could only manage second after a tardy break. Not the best of nights and apart from Laura not the best of weekends.

Monday woke up with a painful frozen shoulder, which got me out of the housework! I decided to have a go at the bags championship decider at Romford and put out two selections to subscribers. Cloella 7/2 looked the call in the first 575 and Droopys Hemione 6/4 looked the one in the second 575. Backed and sent out to subscribers. Popped down my local bookies to watch how the selections went, it was very quiet with just the bookie and myself in attendance. I knew we were in trouble when Cloella drifted from 7/4 out to 11/4 and the bookies had it right as he ran no race! However all was not lost when the well backed Hermione 4/5f hosed up confirming Sittingbourne’s win and deserved place in the Bags Track Championship Final.

Tuesday up with the larks as usual on a Sky night. The cameras were over at Colwick Park Nottingham for the Final of the Betfred Eclipse. Quickly identified two runners on the card that I thought were overpriced and who I thought could outrun those odds. Clounamon Queen 6/1 and Dragon Big Bux 7/2 were duly backed before being emailed out to subscribers to do likewise. Settled down later to watch all the action, I did think that there would be a few shocks as the racing appeared extremely competitive. At the end of play 33/1,16/1,10/1 and 8/1 winners later told you it was a bookmakers bonanza. Anyway my subscribers needn’t have worried as Queen bolted out of the traps as expected and in winning clocked the fastest 500 metre time of the night, to reward them with another big price sky winner!

Big Bux couldn’t quite land us a double whammy only managing second after a moderate break in the sprint. Still another big winning night for us on Sky.

Wednesday saw RPGTV graded fare at Romford & Peterborough that failed to interest me in any shape or form. A no bets email was quickly sent out. However I did watch the show as my friend & the ‘sheriff of Romford’ Dave Fredericks was the guest on the programme. I did say to my punters to watch him as he would tip up a few winners, which duly did!

There were just the four opens at Hove, its been like this at the Sussex track for some time now, not sure why, they used to fill a whole Thursday card with opens.

There was one open over at Henlow, a Mini Final over 428 metres, having watched the heats last week I thought the plum rails draw was good enough for Brannew Rock 7/2 to win the Final as he had done in his heat. Backed before being sent out to subscribers to do likewise. I was in my office watching all the action, I noticed the fog at Henlow getting worse as the meeting went on and it was no surprise that they had to abandon with two races to go. One of them still to race was the Final. All bets should be voided.

Friday all roads lead to Romford where the Essex Vase starts with six heats tonight. I will be in attendance as Marco is running, though his two poor recent runs taper enthusiasm somewhat of success. Dogs can make fools of you and I’m hoping he puts up a better show this evening. Now for the Friday Free Tip let’s go Ante Post in the Essex Vase. Me and lots of other knowledgeable greyhound hacks believe Adageo Bob is the most likely winner of the Vase. His level of form and consistency make him very hard to beat. The 10/3 available is fair and worth a bet.

Usual Friday morning up with the larks and quickly sorted out the Friday Free Tip. Ernie Gaskin’s  Bishops Wood looked to be a solid bet as he was dropped in grade IMO. The 7/4 was value as I had him 5/4 on my tissue. Backed sent out to subs before newsletter sent to Betfan Towers. Later once the turf accountants had priced up all the races I was a tad slow off the mark and missed the 10/3 Coral had amazingly offered on Bubbly Beauty when it looked an even money shot. However they were still offering 5/2 so helped myself and told all my subscribers to do the same. Had no runners but went over Romford with Andy and met up with Mark Wallis for our Friday night catch up. The night flew by helped with both selections winning. First up was Bishops Wood who fairly flew to the corner after a level break and he promptly put the race to bed for the FFT followers. Bubbly Beauty also trapped out well and she led from trap to line to the delight of the massive turnout of the Bubbly Club members who attended the boss Steve Fluin’s 60th birthday celebrations in the Pavillion restaurant.

So nice to land a double whammy and take us flying up the table and over 40 points to the good. A happy chappie on my short drive home!

Saturday saw Wimbledon stage the only open racing in the UK. I had to wait until the afternoon before my friends at B365 priced up the opens. There were a few shorties but my peepers had spotted one that was overpriced. George Andreas is a shrewd cookie his Up to It looked back to his best recently after having a spell of the track injured. He was 5/1 and was backed & sent out. However the best laid plans! He was a non runner – lame. I watched the racing from Wimbledon on the lap top and there was a dog that really impressed me and at 33/1 he’s worth a dabble for the St Leger. Bond…..Rearguard Bond is his name.

Sunday popped up with my mate Andy to see Head iton Tom who is still waiting to be homed, he was in fantastic form and he enjoyed a long walk and his sausage treats to finish. On the way home I checked in with Angus the dog regarding the Henlow card. Sorted out two selections in the Henlow Derby Semi Finals to send out before going to watch my son play in a F.A. National Sunday Cup match. They somehow contrived to lose 2-1 after leading 1-0 with three minutes to go! Then it was off to Sittingbourne to meet the cardinal & cheesey to watch Patch and take up our free table in the restaurant. The evening was a hoot and a good Craic but results just didn’t go our way. Both my selections were turned over at Henlow where there was an inside track bias and Marco put in a bit of a lack lustre performance despite nearly winning. Patch also was poor but that’s dog racing they’re not machines! Maybe time for a little rest for them both to freshen them up. The performance of the night was from Jim Daly’s Touch Tackle who broke the six bend track record. He seems sure to go close in the St Leger but the juice has gone from his price!

Monday saw me catch up with a few chores, then updating the newsletter and watching the videos. Nottingham tonight…….not my favourite track…….there was nothing that interested me at the b365 prices so no bet was sent out. I did go down to my local betting shop where the FOBT’s were annoyingly in full loud swing, to watch the racing. The three semi finals of the British Breeders Stakes were worth watching and I came home happy with my idea of the winner next week live on Sky.

Tuesday saw me up early off to Romford to watch Laura trial after dropping Mrs D at the shops. Laura went well recording the fastest sectional and decent first look at the Essex track. I think we will be returning to plunder a maiden soon! Picked Mrs D up and had a spot of lunch. Popped in for a chat with my mate Gary who had a recent heart attack on my way home. His confidence is still low but he’s getting there. Home to look at the B365 priced up Sheffield card – swerved it. No bets! Instead busied myself with looking at the St Leger heats. However I did send out an email telling subscribers to avail themselves of the ridiculous coral price of the dog I believe will win next weeks Nottingham final. It was just too big IMO.

Wednesday I quickly decided on a no bets day as it was the graded cards from Romford & Peterborough that RPGTV were showing. What’s the point in tipping for the sake of it – not this tipster always quality over quantity. However I did some more looking at the St Leger heats for ante post purposes and in the afternoon I sent out my ante post selections to subscribers.

Thursday I went with the Cardinal to Ivy Farm to see Heather & Mick who train Patch & Fizz. Had a lovely morning out with them and our dogs before taking them out to lunch. Then it was home to check the prices on the Hove card. There was one dog I was strong on Ken Testers Paradise Abbey I thought he had the best of the draw and 4/1 was a good price. Backed it and sent it out to subscribers. Then it was off to White Hart Lane for their Europa League match as my son had been given a couple of tickets. The 4G on my phone was slow but I just about managed to watch Abbey bolt out for a trap to line victory and take us over the 50 point profit mark this month. I’m nearly 700 points up since starting the GMT service and over 200 up this year – real long term profit from greyhound racing – unheard off before my service. Join me!

There is some good greyhound racing this weekend to look forward to with the start of the St Leger on Saturday, then Sunday sees a good card at Henlow including the final of the RPGTV Henlow Derby.

Friday again the week flies by and it would be nice to land a FFT double after last weeks winner.  Always looking for a spot of value and I think I found it in the lucky last tonight. Dave Mullins bitch Marmalady is a bitch I like, she’s been trialling & racing well on her travels. She returns to her home track tonight back over the 575 metre trip when last she destroyed a maiden field including Bubbly Beauty and Chicago. If trapping in her best fashion this evening, she can repeat the dose to this field.

Friday morning saw me in determined mood to get the newsletter readers a winning free tip, something that had eluded me for a while recently. Looking at the Romford flying four races, apart from my own dog Blackstone Marco who looked a good thing, going for a four timer, but the bookies had him short enough at 6/4.

I thought Ernie Gaskin’s Bishops Wood looked like he could take advantage of a drop in grade.

He was best priced 5/2 and after taking a bit of that price, I sent it out to my subscribers before emailing the newsletter to Betfan Towers. I was meeting the Cardinal and Nick for a spot of pre-meeting dinner at the Moby Dick. The Cardinal was delayed in coming to mine the dreaded M4 causing havoc as it does on a Friday afternoon. Nick was already ensconsed in a local betting shop near the restaurant. Our plans changed as we couldn’t get to the restaurant in time after the late arrival, so we just met at the track. I phoned the champion trainer Mark Wallis for his thoughts on his runners and he confirmed Marco’s well being, in fact that was his nap. We ate in the track restaurant and chewed the fat during the graded races before perking up to watch the opens. There wasn’t much to get stuck into until Marco was running, i had taken the 6/4 that b365 had offered, so the evens at the track wasn’t of interest. He trapped moderately but showed good pace up to follow Mays Musicbox round in second place and then it was just a matter of when he could get past the bitch. she led him to the sixth bend before he strode away to victory.

We went to collect the trophy for the race which was sponsored by the family of Jim Mylod who was celebrating his 80th birthday, we decided to give the trophy back to Jim as a memento of his big birthday night at the dogs.

Next up was Bishops Wood and he didn’t disappoint taking the lead out of the second bend and holding on by a fast diminishing neck to record a victory for subscribers and newsletter readers alike. Home happy after a couple of celebratory beers.

Saturday saw a plethora of open racing with the Festival of Racing at Newcastle and the continuation of the Kent St Leger along with the Yorkshire Leger at Doncaster where I had a runner in a supporting open. I pinned my colours to a couple pups at working mens prices in the Puppy Derby, rather than all the short ones in the All England Cup. Heather Dimmock’s Likeitalot is a pup to follow in 2014 and he was backed as if defeat was out of the question. We joined in and I also thought Steve Race’s La Chuchilla was another worth a punt. I did just that then sent them on to my subscribers. I also punted my dog Wotnofizz at Doncaster before reading the latest adventures of Belly Boy, banging on about his book deal. I much prefer my appearances on RPGTV to widen my audience. I’m sure the book will find its way into many homes probably to be used as a doorstop.

Likeitalot and I still do despite him making a horlicks of the start, as pups can do, he ran a race full of credit coming second. La Chuchila ran well but in truth was a shade disappointing only managing third place. My own dog coming third just missing out on a place in Thursday’s Sky Final completed a night to forget. There is always tomorrow!

Sunday I popped up to see my retired champ Head iton Tom who was in fine fettle on his walk and loved the hot dogs I took him. He’s still awaiting his forever home. I then stopped off at my sons football match before liaising with Angus on his Henlow thoughts. We were meeting the Cardinal and his wife for Sunday lunch at the Bedfordshire track before watching our dog Goes Hot run. I do like Sundays at Henlow with proper doggie folk.No six packers here! Sent out two selections John Gardiners puppy Coolavany Gooch just edged the selection in the first in front of Blackrose Dame, I thought the pup would come futher forward. The pup missed the break and Dame came home too strong to land the win. My second selection was Mark Wallis’s Aero Babashooka who made no mistake from her plum rails draw and clocked the fastest time of the night. Goes Hot ran well in coming a close up third. I’m still not firing on all cylinders but were back in profit.

I have been thinking for some time about not getting involved at either Nottingham or Sheffield, unless there is a big comp or a sky card! There are just too many strange results – the form never holds up from one week to the next. No bets advised Monday but I was tempted, albeit for the last time, to see if the Sky form from last week was upheld. It wasn’t Swift Curie letting the side down badly, never getting in a blow.

Wednesday saw an all graded RPGTV fare from Romford and Peterborough, so another no bets was advised. I took advantage off a day off to go to Towcester races and receive some hospitality thanks to my trainer Mark Wallis. We had a great day, picked a few winners, saw the progress being made to the greyhound track, which promises to be really special, looking forward to returning on 13th December to the Sky TV covered opening night.

Thursday Sky meeting at Doncaster I sent out my selection which was Farley Rio in the St Leger Final. He looked the bet after his semi final win and I thought the others all had doubts about them. I sent out a detailed break down of my thoughts in the email. I then had to shoot out to pick up my outlaws from Kings Cross. I then had a quick bit of dinner then popped down the betting shop to watch my new dog Wotnofizz in the first race on the card at Doncaster. They had all the dogs ready to race in the traps when they realised that the hare wouldn’t move – they hadn’t switched the power on! Had to take them out and put them back in which caused my dog to be flat footed at the start and he lost all chance of victory. My other dog Goes Hot later ran a valiant race in defeat coming third where the track record was broken and will be winning again soon. The Final was won by the favourite Millwards Teddy a great training performance by Dean Childs. The dog looked very flat after the Semi Final. Farley Rio ran a bit flat.

Free Tip Friday I’m a fan of Derek Knights Fivestar Clipper after his performances in the Champion Stakes. He unusually flopped his break on his last Romford appearance but still ran a very good race. With a level break he will take all the beating tonight.

Friday’s Romford card was poor as it is every year after a Sky Final night earlier in the week.

Looked at the flying four races for the free tip and narrowed it down to two – went with Farley Rio emailed out and sent as Friday’s Free Tip and put the other one Laughing Gravy up on my other site.

Didn’t feel to hot during the day waiting for the enemy to price up the rest of the card. Had already decided to swerve going Romford to have a change of scenery and take Mrs D to pictures as there was nothing that rocked my boat really in the other races.

Got home later and watched the recordings – Rio was poor lost his early pace – wants further now (out at Yarmouth on Sky) – Gravy was very impressive winning, he should go really well in the Romford Puppy Cup and is my idea of the winner!

Saturday saw me suffering with a stomach bug that had been brewing yesterday. My man up North rang to say that Kilkenny Treve was strongly fancied in the Maiden Final at Hall Green and the 5/4 offered by B365 was worth taking. I thought Sidaz Jack was overpriced at 7/2 in his East Anglian Derby Semi Final. Sent both selections out to subscribers. The afternoon I was laid up in the settee not too far away from the toilet. I was disappointed not to receive my Saturday comic from Belly. Watched C4 racing and backed Kingston Hill in the St Leger he was the best horse in the race and so it proved. Then I watched the action from Shelbourne Park before checking the results to see both selections had been turned over. Treve was challenging into the third bend before being crowded out. Jack just couldn’t quite reel in kennel mate Southern Mesut. We have both our ante post runners Domino Storm 50/1 and Southern Mesut 20/1 lining up for us in Wednesday’s Sky covered Final. Finishing in the 1st four will land the ew money or could it be a bumper pay day?

Sunday I felt a tad better so I popped over to Ernie Gaskin’s to see how Holly was recovering from her stress fractured hock. She was pleased to see me, probably the chicken I brought her. I took her for a short walk and see seemed to be managing well on the strapped up leg. Home for my usual Sunday scrum down on the Henlow card with Angus my Henlow expert. I wasn’t overly keen on anything to punt nor tip. Angus was keen on a couple but I wasn’t. So I sent out a no bet day. I took Mrs D with me to Sittingbourne to watch Patch aka Goes Hot run. We tucked into a very nice three course meal in the restaurant with some nice vino. Patch went off 9/4 favourite but unusually missed his break was bumped at the first bend but ran a stormer to finish a close up second. Fortunately I found a couple of winners to pay for the expenses and Mrs D seemed to be enjoying the wine so we decided to stop over at the very stylish Conniston Hotel.

Monday after a nice breakfast we set off for home. I was keen to look for a value selection from the Romford Puppy Cup Heats to get us back amongst the winners. Racing Post in hand I quickly saw the dog that I thought could do the business. Chris Allsopp’s Image Express had a draw to die for on the rails and was a whopping 5/1. I thought the favourite King Alley could get held up by the wide running Jamoan. We missed the 5/1 connections obviously agreed with my race reading. But we still were able to punt it at 9/2 – I helped myself to Hills and Skybet as much as I could get on. Despite my stomach bug returning with a vengeance I was able to saunter down to my local bookies to watch all the action. Express opened up 5/2 on track and was smashed into 7/4 joint favouritism. The race went to plan initially with four holding six up as Image Express set the pace but trap five Lann Jacob turned handy and it was race on. They flashed past the line together – photo but I was confident we held on – WE DID boom 9/2 tip landed as the 7/4jf – now that’s proper tipping.

Come and join my service for more tips like this!

Tuesday still suffering from the stomach bug but with the heats of the Steel City Cup I had to man up and sort out some selections. The competition looked very strong and I didn’t like the set up of only the first two going through in the heats. So there was no ante post interest but I backed and sent out two individual bets. I preferred Swift Hoffman just over local hero Pay Freeze and in another two dog match I went with Candlelight King over Viking Jack. I watched all the heat action in my local betting shop which was empty – probably all watching the Champions League action. Anyway I enjoyed having it too myself though didn’t enjoy Swift Hoffman bowing out of the competition with a lacklustre run. Pay Freeze was impressive in winning that contest. However Candlelight King cheered me up leading all the way ensuring we made another nights profit.

Wednesday up early thankfully not another trip to the china bowl but to sort out selections for tonight’s Sky meeting from Yarmouth. We have two ante post runners in the feature race the East Anglian Derby mentioned earlier in my column. I liked a few runners but you can’t tip them all can you? I went for Bills Heartbeat great draw & a good Trial and Ballygibbon King a proper middle runner who got trap 3 tonight, as my individual selections.

Backed them and emails sent out I then spent the rest of the day looking after my grand daughter 8 month old Poppy. Poppy and I had a great time before it was time to give her back and I settled down to watch all the action on Sky Sports 3. Bills Heartbeat missed several beats and was a poor fifth. Ballygibbon King fell out and ran no race coming fourth. Not the best evening so far then it was final time….Sidaz Jack flew out from trap 3 and I and many others thought that was that! His kennel mate and my 20/1 ante post pick Southern Mesut was snapping at his heels and he bumped Jack out of the way at the third bend but he in turn was bumped by Rio Quattro this allowed all the dogs to be in with some sort of a chance off the last bend even Domino Storm 50/1 ante post who had been bumped out of contention at the first bend by Forest Gavin. In a blanket finish Swift Keith who escaped the worst of the trouble to land the Derby by three parts of a length from the very unlucky Domino Storm and Southern Mesut the same distance behind in third. Oh so close to landing the big priced ante post winner. We did make a profit on our ante post bets which meant we only had a slight loss on the whole evening.

Thursday morning saw me have a quick look at the days action before paying a visit to see my retired dog Head iton Tom who was in great form but is still looking for his forever home.

I wasn’t keen on the Hove card to find a winner especially when they had fitted new starting traps and not told anyone! Henlow graded card was the other offering on RPGTV and as such offered nothing off interest. Yarmouth put on a good open race card to pacify the race goers who still had money to spend after the three day horse racing festival ended. I was very keen on one runner Urban Road and B365 offered a generous 9/4. I bet him accordingly and then advised my clients to do the same. As was my woe last evening at the seaside track we led off the fifth bend only to be reeled in and beaten by a neck! I will move on as my dad always told me ‘no-one remembers a runner up!’

Friday saw me waking up to Scotland rejecting independence which was the right result in my opinion – it’s also Free Tip day and about time I nailed a winner for the readers. The flying four includes the Puppy Cup Semi Finals where I think Laughing Gravy, Ibiza Rocks and Blue Freedom will triumph. But we’re saving the best till last with Reel Trickyone as the FFT selection, he lost nothing in defeat behind Millwards Master in the Champion Stakes Final. He can get the better of this field who include kennel mate Blonde Razor and really make it a Friday to remember.

Friday up and at it early doors as we had a Monmore bags card full of opens and I decided to go for broke with the newsletter free tip. It would have been easy to give a 7/4 shot but I did really fancy a 10/1 shot. Again I could have played safe by tipping it each way but that’s not my style I went straight for the jugular. I backed Lowgate Topaz accordingly before sending it out to my subscribers, then out to the newsletter readers. My subscribers also got another selection – a strong bet on Viking Jack at 7/4. I set off to my local betting shop to watch all the Monmore action. Caleb was causing havoc as usual but Matt another regular was in there calming him down. Matt a young man with very good knowledge of horses, but wants to bet in every race. Route to the poor house! Viking Jack makes hard work of winning but is a winner just the same! Next up was Topaz I did tell the punters in the shop that I fancied it – they all had a bit on and watched it with me. He trapped well and led out of the second bend but my eyes were firmly fixed on the fav Millwards Teddy that somehow managed to get round behind him. I thought the writing was on the wall Teddy joined Topaz at the fifth bend but Topaz fought back and they were bumping each other of the last bend and the run in – this allowed Jimmy Wright’s dog in trap one to come from four lengths behind to nail them both on the line. A head and a short head away from landing a right touch. Still ended in a profitable day. Dusted myself down and set off to Romford to watch Marco & Patch. I decided not to bother with anymore selections and had a small interest in both my dogs. Both ran well Patch missed the break but flew home and Marco was a gallant second to the win machine that is Adageo Bob. I left with a few notebook dogs for the next few Fridays though.

Saturday there was nothing at Crayford or Newcastle to excite me. So having watched the heats of Wimbledon on 24 dogs last week I thought that Jetstream Reason would win the hurdle final. Thought 9/4 was fair providing he could clear the fast starter in trap one by the third bend. Backed and sent out to subscribers. Watched the Irish derby heats along with the Wimbledon action from my office. One flew out but we took off down the back straight but he went to pass the one dog at the third bend and he promptly shut the door on us. He was all over looking like the winner but that’s dog racing.

Our luck will turn soon as were on the right dogs.

Sunday I’m writing this newsletter whilst flying to Barcelona to join up with my cruise ship. We all need breaks and I’m no different from anyone else. Now it would be nice to have time away from tipping but I fully understand if you had just joined my service how miffed you would be paying for a service that you weren’t receiving. So for the next two weeks we will try to strike a happy balance, providing I can get decent wifi on the ship. I thought Kevin Huttton’s Boom Boom Dani so impressive recently would continue in the same vein at Hove this morning. I took the 6/4 and advised members to do likewise. But he was crowded early and could only manage third. I should know better as Hove on Sunday mornings throws up some strange results. Some trainers won’t run there dogs in the morning I wonder why? All was not lost though later while out for dinner I checked the Sittingbourne results to see that my dog Goes Hot aka Patch had won at Sittingbourne. He likes it there!

Monday saw us join the magnificent Regal Princess and we spent the afternoon familiarising ourselves with all the boats facilities. I sent out a no tips day as I hadn’t organised wifi yet. Later after dinner I set about joining the ships wifi which was expensive and came with a health warning of slowness and intermittency while at sea.

Tuesday we arrived at Toulon nice day, lovely market and the harbour is the base for the French Navy. Wifi intermittent but quickly realise that Sheffield is a no bet day.

Wednesday there is no open racing in the UK so another no bets is sent out. We’re docked in Livorno but went to Pisa and Florence on a very hot day. The leaning tower is amazing and well worth a visit. Travelled there with some Australians and Americans broadening my horizons and making friends for future trips. Back on board the ship and downloaded Hove Monmore and Henlow cards to study for tomorrow nights racing before going to dinner.

Thursday saw me quickly, well as quickly as the ships wifi would allow, send off my selections to my subscribers. Then it was off to Rome and the very impressive Colosseum.

Back on board to watch a movie under the stars before checking the results my second itis continues this month but Viking Jack stopped the rot winning the feature race very impressively. Also my own dog Blackstone Marco who appears to be relishing the step up in trip we have given him made two wins out three races now by winning his heat of the Westmead Hawk Memorial at Henlow.

I will never tip my dogs but there worth following.

Friday morning Free Tip day. Maxine Locke’s Hometown Day has been running well in defeat behind the all conquering Adageo Bob. Tonight’s race represents a drop in class which he can make the most of by leading all the way.

Friday was all about The Cardinal’s 60th birthday party in Romford’s Chase restaurant, which coincided with Marco’s six bend debut. The flying four priced up races were as usual the most competitive on the card. However I liked the chances of Aero Babooshka who appeared to be coming to the boil from season intervention and had run well lately from poor draws. Everything pointed to a good run tonight – so after a sizeable investment by me at 11/4 I sent it out to subscribers and then as my free newsletter tip. I also backed Marco once they decided to price up the full card, I thought 7/4 was fair. He had a draw to die for and it was a drop in class but would he stay? I thought so. I never tip my own dogs – bad karma!

Set off for Romford hopeful of a good night, the boys were out in force at the party Big Jim, Cheesey, Ryan and Andy D. No sooner had we arrived and it was Marco time, I stood a little nervous on the terraces but he flashed the cans and led going five clear down the back straight but the strong running four dog (the danger) was bearing down on him but Marco pulled out a bit more to win by a neck. Brilliant! The highs and lows of dog racing were never more apparent when next up was Aero Babooshka who was backed all, afternoon as if defeat was out of the question, the 11/4 early price into 11/10f at the track. A slow break put paid to any chance she had of winning and she could only manage third. She’s not one to give up on yet, though maybe Romford is not her gaff! The party was in full flow by now Cheesey buoyed with taking £800 from the FOBT earlier in the day, was doing his best to increase his profit by unusually picking a few winners. The Cardinal was all lathered up in a right sweat with a combination of too much wine and Marco’s win. It was nice to see Big Jim back in the fold after winning his battle with Leukaemia – he’s an inspiration to us all.
Life is for living – tomorrow is another day!

Saturday I think there were a few sore heads judging by the lack of conversation amongst us. I had to look lively though with a visit from my seven month old grand daughter. Later I read the racing post and unusually agreed with Jonathan Kay that Evanta Evita was the bitch to side with in the Ladies Final at Wimbledon. She appeared to be better drawn than the other heat winner Roxholme Dream. Backed her accordingly at 11/8 with B365 who kindly priced up and sent out an email for subscribers to do likewise. The race panned out like I thought with the local runner in trap four bolting out the traps with Evita going round in second and Dream a few lengths away in third as they went down the back straight. The only bit not on the script were Evita checking behind the leader at the third bend and then looking to switch outside the leader on the run in before ducking back inside. All this allowed Dream to make up the ground she was behind and all three bitches went charging to the line with Dream just proving the stronger denying us by a neck. That’s dog racing I still believe we were on the best dog in the race. So we will always win more than we lose!

Sunday managed to beat the tail end of hurricane that was forecast to hit us, to take Holly out for a walk. She’s looking well and I expect her to go well when she runs next.

Home to get a Henlow update from Angus the dog who was keener than I was on the the card. I spent the rest of the afternoon looking for an angle and when I couldn’t see any I sent out a no bet advice. Had a lovely home cooked roast dinner before watching Henlow and then the final round of the USPGA golf. I had a lump on Henrik Stenson at 28/1 and after his blistering front nine I was getting a tad excited but Rory is a man not a boy anymore and he played the back nine better than the rest to pick up the prize. Not too disappointed as we land a nice ew 7/1 bet on Henrik, whose turn isn’t far away.

Monday I popped up to see Tommy at Barley Re-homing kennels, he’s happier now as he’s in with a bitch but she’s just in for the holidays. He’s getting a new kennel mate at the weekend Blackrose Mia who was also a fine open class bitch herself. Let’s hope a forever home for Tommy & Mia is just around the corner. Home to look at the Nottingham card once B365 had priced up but only one interested me Calzaghe Davy runner up to Pay Freeze in the select stakes was a solid bet at Evens. He did the business despite a 16 day absence winning at 4/5f. I went down the bookmakers to watch the Nottingham opens and was pleasantly surprised that no-one was playing the FOBT. In fact Roger the Dodger was the only other punter in the shop. He’s a canny bettor on the horses and after two close seconds his nap hosed up at Windsor. He collected his winnings and was off to the pub across the road to celebrate.

Tuesday I thought I would play at Sheffield hoping the form of last weeks sky meeting would be upheld. It’s not normally a track I like as the form book gets turned over on a regular basis. I shouldn’t have bothered both as my selection for the GMT subscribers Geneva Diva and my other selection on my other site were turned over by 8/1 shots!

Wednesday saw open race action at Yarmouth and over at Swindon where I thought Eriks Gav looked to have the better draw than Screen Critic. So the 9/4 was taken from B365 and then sent out to subscribers. I listened at home on the greyhound commentary radio I quote “screen critic just leads early but is being pressed on both sides by Eriks Gav and Rock Cinta – screen critic is still just ahead on the run for home but is now being strongly pressed by Eriks Gav 3 and 2 – 2 and 3 they flash past together – very close – photo – result three screen critic wins by a short head!” Gutted! Holly ran a gallant race at Romford beaten a length coming third.

Thursday saw no open racing in the UK but the Irish derby continues at Shelbourne Park. I took a long hard look at the card but decided against putting up any selections. It’s still early in the competition and the form can be turned upside down. Spent the afternoon watching Monmore videos and looking at both the Monmore & Romford cards. A feast of open racing on our hands tomorrow. Looking at the Irish Derby results I was right to swerve it.

FFT time again we have been close but not cigar, now it would be easy to prop up a short one but not this week we’re going for a whopping 10/1 shot over at Monmore this afternoon. Jim Hayton’s Lowgate Topaz has very good c&d form and is overpriced IMO. We are taking on the short priced favourite Millwards Teddy who may struggle with the short run to the first bend but then again he may still be good enough win! But at the prices I would rather be with Topaz.

I took a look at Fridays Romford card first thing along with a look at the flying four prices and selected the FFT. Had a punt on Bodell Bernina myself then sent it out to my subscribers. Then emailed my newsletter of to Betfan towers for all the free tip junkies.

There was another dog firmly on my radar in a race that hadn’t been priced up, the SP in the bible (racing post) was generous and if my friends at B365, who may not sponsor any greyhound competitions, but they are always first up with there prices go a similar price – I will be all over it like a rash! I popped out but made sure I was back in time for B365 prices. Wow 11/4 did they not see Urban Road destroy his field at Henlow on Sunday in a very fast time! I helped myself before sending it out to my subscribers. Had I not already put out Bernina this would have been a rare maximum 10 pointer. I had arranged to meet Cheesey as he owed me dinner for the winners I put his way. Unfortunately due to time constraints I had to make do with a Toby Carvery near Romford dog track. Cheesey got off lightly!

Urban Road opened up 7/4 and went off a well backed 11/8f – the result was never in doubt after a bullet break winning by over seven lengths. Bodell Bernina couldn’t quite land us the double – she was moderately away and couldn’t shake off Pharisee Flyer which allowed Rio Torino to establish a healthy lead but Bernina went down by a length in the end running on very well. There were two or three dogs that made my notebook for the future. Another winning night for the GMT.

Saturday saw only one open race throughout the UK that was at Crayford not a venue I regularly punt. So an early decision was made to send out a no bets advised today. This was something I later regretted as I received a reliable piece of info about one in that solitary open race that duly won. I passed my day with having a small flutter on the horses, while looking after my six month old grand daughter and of course reading Belly’s diary. I see I got a passing mention from him for mimicking his racing diary. I own up to it – it’s a great way of recording your bets/thoughts of the week. Makes for a better read – pass it on to Don.

My usual Sunday with a kennel visit followed by nice cooked breakfast while perusing the Racing Post. Discussed Sundays card with Angus my Henlow mole. Decided to wait until all the card was priced up before sending out advice. Popped out to Garden Centre with Mrs D stopped off on way home for a light refreshment. Checked prices – nothing appealed on supporting card. Maximum Advice sent out we however missed the 6/4 but 11/8 was still good on Kevin Hutton’s bitch Forest Sara who really impressed in the heats last week.

She proved her class after a tardy start with a powerful all round display to land us the lolly. The Henlow bookies not known for their generosity sent her off the 5/4f due to getting several shorties beat earlier in the meeting. Job done – this month is picking up.

Monday should be catch up day but had my grand daughter round in the morning but was able to study tonight’s Romford card and send out a selection to subscribers in the afternoon. Then set about studying Nottingham’s Sky card for tomorrow. Nipped out to bookmakers to watch the three heats of the Rosebowl. Our good run of form continued with Hometown Day landing the last heat advised at 3/1 to my clients. I did fancy both the other winners at short prices in fact I did tip one of them up on my other service. So it was a very good night all round.

Tuesday up early busy all morning sorting out selections for subscribers from the Sky Sports Nottingham card. Selections duly sent out, time to do a bit of gardening before the real action starts at night. My main selections centred around one race the select stayers. I unusually selected two dogs in one race the Select Stayers. I was all over the huge 16/1 that was available with b365 at 1/3 odds each way on Worsboro Phantom I thought he was over priced and would run a huge race. However a favourite dog of mine Romantic Rambo was running and looked the banker win bet at 9/4. We all got the best result with Rambo winning and Phantom collecting the each way money for 2nd. I love it when a plan comes together! I did put up a small trixie as well but only got one winner. But another profitable night cementing my place in the Betfan top 10 and all time top five.

Wednesdays are nearly always no bet days as unless it’s a Sky night as it’s graded fare on RPGTV which doesn’t interest me at all as a punting perspective. So I made use of my day catching up with a few contacts and studying tomorrow’s Sussex Cup card at Hove. I also moved my dog Head iton Tom to his re-homing kennels in the hope he finds his forever home.

Thursday I sent out an early email stating no Sussex Cup Ante Post bets nor anything from the very competitive heats. I was more interested in the supporting races from a punting perspective so we had to wait until they were priced up. I then set off for Manchester for a Funeral tomorrow. I sent out two selections from my very hot hotel room. I never saw the racing as I was out to dinner but came back to my room to find Cheers Tony & Hollyoak Laelaps both finished second.

I backed David Pruhs Frisby Forjohn last week he showed great early pace but he blew up close home. That was his first run for a month he can come forward enough to land this race tonight.
